The purpose of this study was to investigate consistency of apartment brand image as a process which includes publicity, design and customer service and to analyze how using intergrated brand image affects brand preference and purchasing intention. To examine hypotheses, an empirical study using a survey questionnaire for residents living in 4 different brand apartments in Dongtan, Hwasung city was conducted. The collected data were treated with the SPSS Win Program 14.0. The study indicates that residents living in brand apartment generally preferred natural friendly image, high-class image and modern image to the others. And at first apartment brand images were created with image advertising on TV, catalog for sale and model house tour, but residents have most needs for customer service reflected in brand images. The study also has found that brand images in each process including publicity, design and customer service were not intergrated. However brand image intergration had positive effects on residential satisfaction and customer loyalty. The results of the study are expected to become the useful data in developing sustainable apartment brands and building effective marketing strategy of construction companies.

The research method was a survey and subjects were 249 male university students in Daejeon and Chungnam province. The questionnaire consisted of measurement items for benefit sought in clothing, knitwear image preference, knitwear purchasing behaviors, and subject's demographic attributions. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA and Scheffe test. The results were as follows. First, male university students were segmented into 6 consumer types (practicality pursuit, individuality pursuit, comport pursuit, brand pursuit, social status pursuit, and unconcern type) by benefit sought in clothing. Second, male university students generally preferred dandy image and causal image, however, brand pursuit type more preferred trendy image, and practicality pursuit type more preferred active image than other consumer types. Third, the segmented markets showed many differences on knitwear purchasing behaviors. On clothing selection criteria, practicality pursuit type considered resonable price as important, whereas brand pursuit type considered brand reputation. On fashion information source, individuality pursuit type considered store display and other people's clothing, while unconcern type considered advice from friend and family. On main purchasing place, individuality pursuit type more used speciality store with no brand, whereas brand pursuit type more used department store and brand store than other consumer types. • This study attempts to explain the unique patterns in Korean consumer behavior regarding the luxury fashion brands' donation activities by exploring the moderating effects of corporate ability (CA) and subjective norm (SN) on the relationship between donations and consumers' brand preference, brand trust, and purchase intention. A total of 209 completed questionnaires, collected from online surveys, were analyzed using moderated multiple regression. The result shows that donation amount information positively influences consumers' brand preference, brand trust and purchase intention toward luxury fashion brands. Next, CA strengthens the relationships between donation amount information and consumers' brand trust and purchase intention. SN from the opposite gender compensates for the negative effect of negative donation amount information on consumers' trust toward luxury fashion brands, whereas SN from the same gender does not influence those relationships. This study provides a deeper understanding of luxury fashion brands' donations and consumer responses in South Korea-one of the important test markets for luxury fashion brands to expand their business to Asian countries.

  • In automotive engineering, the brand sound is one of the important advantage strategy in a car company. For the design of brand sound, the selection of descriptive word for a car sound is one of major works in automotive sound quality research. In paper, booming sound and rumbling sound, which are professional words used by NVH engineers are used for the design of brand sound. We employed sound metrics which are the subjective parameter used in psychoacoustics. According to most research results, the relationship between subjective evaluations and sound metrics has nonlinear characteristics and is very complex. In order to link these subjective evaluations to sound metrics, the artificial neural network technology has been applied to two-dimensional sound quality index for a passenger car. These indexes is used for 46 passenger cars, which are samples of famous cars in the world. Also the preference in car sounds is evaluated by the trained NVH engineers. We coupled this preference with booming and rumbling sounds by using artificial neural network. In future, the two -dimensional sound index and preference index are very useful fur the development of brand sound in passenger cars.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of T-shirts product type and apparel benefit on consumer preference and purchasing intention. Data for the study were obtained by $3\times2$ mixed factorial design. The subjects were two hundred and thirty college male and female students. The data were analysed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, and ANOVA by using the SPSS program. The results of this study indicated that benefit did not have effects on consumers purchasing intention but significant influences on consumer preference for brand-parody products. For brand-copy products, benefit influenced the purchasing intention, and did not influence the consumer preference. This study suggested that new fashion trends, in association with consumer's benefit, have effects on consumer's purchasing behavior. The result of this study is likely to be useful in planning marketing strategy related to product type and new fashion trends.
