The trend in which an apartment is regarded as not only a substantial property or 'residence' but also as a 'means of self-expression' for consumers is increasing in the present housing marketing, and thus, the apartment brand image has become an important field of marketing management. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify the difference between the image of a housing brand and the self-image of consumers in order to propose a singular direction of strategies for the formation of a differentiated brand image. As a result of research, analysis showed that there is a trend in which consumers show a more positive attitude towards a brand apartment that has a brand image closer to an ideal selfimage. Even if this trend is weak, it was confirmed that the consentaneity between a brand image and the self-image of housing products can become a variable having some influence on brand attitude. The survey method compared a brand image and a self-image by using Likert's 5-point scale on the apartment brands of the top three companies according to the study result of a national brand competitiveness index (NBCI). Self-consentaneity was determined by using the distance measurement model of self-consentaneity proposed by Sirgy (1982). The study data was collected from 210 persons and the PASW program was used for statistical data analysis.
Brand equity of a tourist destination play a significant role in selecting a tourist destination because it is highly associated with its competitiveness. Nevertheless, a few research related to brand equity of a tourist destination has been conducted. Therefore, this study particularly focuses on the conceptualization work and deriving elements of brand equity of a tourist destination. One of the major research findings is that brand equity of a tourist destination comprises four elements including brand name awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty. In particular, brand loyalty turns out to be affected by other elements of brand equity, which verifies the hierarchy of effect among the elements of brand equity.

Competitiveness strategies has been associated in the tourism literature as a crucial factor for the success of tourist. The study aims to explore the competitiveness strategies for tourism destinations by conducting in-depth interviews with probe questions. Thirteen community enterprises' managers in rural tourism communities were interviewed with a semi-structured interview questionnaire for one or two hours. From the interview data, eight themes in two dimensions were identified as competitiveness strategies of rural community enterprises in rural Korea. Differentiation strategies consist of new product development, service improvement, brand image improvement, advertise and public relation, and concentration. Cost leadership dimension includes cost reduction, increasing benefit, and long-term investment. The findings of this paper implicate the underlying the competitiveness strategies from managers' perspective.
This study examined the relative importance level of experience marketing on brand attitude and brand loyalty in beauty salon franchise stores, and attempted to raise the competitiveness of beauty salon services by presenting this elements as experience marketing strategy directions for beauty salon franchise store management. A questionnaire was used for this study on 350 adults residing in Gwangju Metropolitan City and SPSS 20.0 statistics package was used for analysis. In summary, the results of this study are as follows. First, five factors that make up experience marketing in beauty salon franchise stores were found. They were sensory marketing, relative marketing, emotional marketing, cognitive marketing and behavior marketing. Brand loyalty was categorized into the two factors, attitude loyalty and behavioral loyalty. Also, we found that experience marketing had a statistically positive impact on brand loyalty. Secondly, experience marketing of beauty salon franchise stores was found to have a statistically significant positive effect on brand attitude. Thirdly, we found that the brand attitude of beauty salon franchise stores had a statistically significant positive effect on brand loyalty.
The purpose of this paper is to seek ways to improve the competitiveness of Korea's fashion industry by utilizing the source of competitiveness of Japan's fashion industry, which represents the world's leading countries in terms of fashion, so that Korea can better enter the global fashion market. The study shall first compare the competitiveness of the Japanese and Korean fashion industries by utilizing the generalized double diamond model; second, provide an understanding of what the Japanese fashion industry can offer to Korean fashion industry and companies - that is, understand what the Japanese fashion industry's competitive edge is; and third, study the kind of global competitiveness that Korea's fashion industry must achieve. To adopt a generalized double diamond model to compare the competitiveness of the Korean and Japanese fashion industries, we selected 31 sub-variables to act as determinants of the model. That is, we extracted 31sub-variables by doing research of literature to analyze national competitiveness of the fashion industries. To measure these 31 sub-variables, secondary data was gathered. We collected data related to each sub-variable from various sources of Korea and Japan. And to calculate the competitiveness index, we took three steps with reference to previous studies. We found that status of the fashion industry of the two countries as it stands. That is, Japan is an advanced country of which fashion industry is domestic market-oriented while Korea is a small open economy that mainly focuses on the foreign market. Out of 31 proxy variables, Korea's fashion industry shows higher measurements relating to production and export than Japan, but Japan's fashion industry reports higher measurements than Korea in the fields of R&D, design and brand power, the rate of value added, the efficiency of companies and globalization. In order for Korea's fashion industry to achieve competitiveness in the global market, it should pursue the following development direction. First, it is very difficult for Korea to follow the footsteps of the U.S. and Japanese fashion industries that are able to take advantage of economies of scale, because Korea is smaller than those countries. Therefore, in the case of small economies such as Singapore, strengthening of international activities will practically improve domestic determinants that Korea should improve its domestic diamond by enhancing the current competitiveness of its international diamond. In other words, Korea needs to further endeavor to develop and expand global resources and markets as well as improve its competitiveness in terms of R&D, design and brand power, the rate of value-added, and the efficiency of companies. As the Korean fashion industry shows relatively advanced level of information technology and the fashion education system, it has considerable potential to grow. Korea is expected to have a huge growth potential since it has relatively higher level of information technology, fashion education system and activities than those of Japan in both the domestic diamond and international diamond. In particular, a better environment is laid out before Korea to gain competitiveness in the fashion industry due to the recently growing influence of the Korean Wave that Korea is expected to grow as a leader in the Asian market as well as in the global market.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the competitive environment of 7-Eleven using Porter's 5 Force model to analyze the specific competitiveness of 7-Eleven that has maintained continuous growth as a competitive company. Methods: This study is a case study of 7-Eleven. Results: As a result of the analysis, 7-Eleven has reinforced its competitiveness with existing competitors by raising entry barriers by expanding domestic stores and developing overseas convenience store business, focusing on North America, based on economy of scale. In addition, 7-Eleven seeks to differentiate itself from other convenience stores by developing a "private brand" and strengthens its bargaining power with suppliers through the development of new products by gathering information and know-how of experts in product development based on customer needs. The bargaining power with customers has been strengthened by building loyalty and trust in the brand by allowing consumers to purchase the same products at the same price no matter which store they visit. As a threat to potential competitors, 7-Eleven has secured a competition advantage by raising the barrier to entry by concentrating stores in specific areas through a dominant franchise development strategy and increasing awareness of 7-Eleven among consumers. In the case of threats from substitute products, it was confirmed that 7-Eleven has overcome the threat from substitute products by opening 24 hours a day and providing various services such as ATMs and copiers.
Nowadays, technological differences between companies have decreased and products launched show more resemblance to each other. As an alternative plan companies started developing brands. The excellence in quality of a product from a company could be easily copied, but the formless value, brand, cannot be imitated easily. More importantly, in the globally competing generation the brand provides distinctiveness and gives a solution to the relationship between consumers. Also the design image takes a big part in a company's competitiveness. The design image that represents the company reflects the brand, and it reflects the image and the philosophy of the company. And the images of each product influence the brand. Also an effective delivery of a product image would give a synergistic effect on the brand. A company could build this design identity to elevate the brand. Therefore, the identity of design image reflects the brand. Therefore a study on the area of the absence and misled identity of design image is important. This study is fixed on the idea of, development of brand to increase competitiveness, and the affiliation of design image with the identity of the brand. This study, on the basis of preceding research and theoretical background, aims to find the design identity area focusing on the product design image of the product purchased by the consumer. Firstly, we need to examine the affinity of the product image from the consumer, and analyse the direction of images to offer a solution that could advance the design identity strategy.

The domestic pharmacy market has undergone a lot of changes starting from the division of medicine. Along with the division of medicine, patients who had previously visited the pharmacy were moved to a hospital or clinic. The economy blocking and price competitiveness caused by globalization has generated an on-going controversy of global sourcing among high-priced luxury brands. The consumers in the global market purchase luxury goods based on both craftsmanship and the reputation of luxury brands. Factors such as the origin, brand and pricing can affect the intention of consumers to buy luxury goods. This study analyzed the optimum brand combination using conjoint analysis. The analysis was based on the selection of origin, brand name and price as extrinsic factors among attributes of customer choice. These factors were subdivided into Italian and Chinese origins, Gucci, Prada, and Miu Miu in terms of brand names, and 450,000, 750,000, and 1,500,000 Won in terms of price levels. The result showed that origin was considered the most important factor followed by brand name and pricing. This tendency tells us that customers consider origin, brand name and price in that order when purchasing luxury brands. In regards to each factor, respondents preferred Italian to Chinese origins, the Gucci to Miu Miu brand name, and 750,000 to 450,000 won for price level. Generally, women in their 20s and 30s preferred products from advanced nations at a medium-level price.
