This study examined the effects of underwear brand identity color on brand equity. A self-administered questionnaire mainly consisted of BI color, brand image, and brand equity for underwear. Five underwear brands (Calvin Klein, Yes, Solb, Venus, and Body Guard) were selected based on the frequency they were purchased in pilot study. To collect data, respondents were asked to choose a brand which they were most familiar with, and to assess BI color, brand image, and brand equity including cognitive value, emotional value and purchase intention. A total of 228 usable questionnaires were obtained from consumers aged 19 to 46. BI colors were classified into four color groups: Achromatic (white, black, gray), Vivid (red, blue, yellow), Pink, and Beige. Additionally, underwear brand images consisted of four factors: Sophisticated, Classic, Casual, and Elegant images. Findings showed significant differences in the four factors of brand image and cognitive brand value between the BI color groups. Also, the factor of cognitive value was higher for achromatic or beige brand color groups, than for vivid or pink color groups. Also, brand image factors had positive effects on cognitive or emotional brand value. Especially, the factor of emotional value was more likely to increase purchase intentions than cognitive value in the BI color groups. The implications for managerial decision marking in fashion marketing strategy were also discussed.
With 'the improvement of brand image through the consolidation of the online and offline brand images' as the goal, the focus of this study lies in brand color. In order to analyze the differences between the website and offline image of a brand, as felt by the consumers, a survey on color image was conducted. Using the results of the survey as the foundation, a comparative analysis of online and offline color images was conducted, and the discrepancies between the two specified. Furthermore, solutions in creating websites that cultivate brand consolidation through color consolidation are presented. Using the thesis 'Research on the Color Strategy of Brand-name Coffees,' as a guide, and supplementing it with necessary improvements, this study presents three areas to consider when designing or managing websites for offline brands. First of all, color image is not static but variable, meaning that it appeals to the consumers differently, depending on change in other brands, trends, consumer point of view, etc. Thus, color image must be flexible. Secondly, overall brand image can be improved by its offline color. However, it should be realized that identical colors could produce different results online and off. Lastly, in general, the online image falls behind the offline image, in regard to color strategy. Therefore, more meticulous and carefully planned color design is necessary, as is the consideration of the unique and distinctive qualities of the World Wide Web.
We can expect an effective color marketing to build up a positive industrial image as it is easy for consumer to approach due to the ability of colors to affect human consciousness and sub-consciousness more than any other factor. The purpose of this research is to draw attention to the importance of color communication and to find strategies to elevate the brand image by surveying the degree of influence color communication has when forming a brand image. In order to conduct effective research, we executed theoretical and collaborative analysis through research materials and documents. If you take a look at the outcome of this research, brands that brings credibility and likability to its customers are not brands that uses color communication, but brands that utilize marketing strategies that build up credibility for quite some time. Also, preference over colors are distinctive. It turned out to be that the color of a brand logo that one likes has very little to do with one's favorite color. When people choose a brand, they are choosing the brand not because of the color of the brand logo, but its credibility and likability that the brand offers. It proves that the color of the brand logo has nothing to do with the colors that people prefer. The relationship between the color that consumers prefer and the image and emotional color that forms brand image is negligible. However, since research shows that there was a relationship between the color you prefer and the emotional color that forms brand images, it seems to be important to figure out what color customers prefer rather than the color that shows customers' self image. Unlike existing color communication research, through this research, we would like to know how to utilize the color communication strategically in the forming of brand images and take a look at the relationship between customers' preferences and the image of each brand logo's emotional color.
This is a basic research aimed at enhancing a brand image by unifying color images of a brand at both online and offline stores. h survey was conducted on color images of online and offline stores to measure the level of consistency between consumers' perception of the color image and the brand's color strategy. A brand preference survey was also performed to shed light on the relationship between the brand preference and the consistency of color images at online and offline stores. This study is committed to building an effective color strategy, based on the brand strategy, through web color planning that is consistent with the offline color image. This paper started with a specific purpose of devising solutions in regard to the prior study, entitled 'Study on Color Strategies in Brand Coffee', which recognizes the need for consistent color images, or integrated color strategies, in online and offline stores. I specifically took the approach of looking at color planning in the stage of designing a website. Two standards were used to analyze emotional and functional aspects of color images: color grading by I.R.I and five communicators of color information by Rouge. Direct visits were made to the offline stores for surveys to address the shortcomings of the prior study, in which offline stimuli were limited to printed materials. The direct visits enabled a study of an overall color image of the offline stores, while providing a set of substantial and specific guidelines for designing colors for a website. I hope this study goes a long way toward enhancing the level of consistency between online and offline color images based on the brand's unique color strategy, and thereby improving the overall level of brand image.
The color and its coordination should intensify the customer's memory and awareness in a brand website, through the consistent communication strategy by which a variety of brand identification in the offline could be expressed efficiently. We evaluated top 5 brand-valuable family restaurants in this study, how they made the best use of the website as a new communication channel, and how they constructed the brand identification by the coloring of a website. We found out that they employed colors with a dynamic and lilting feelings matching the concept of a family restaurant. In addition, A color scheme was well designed for the specific character of a brand, though web-safe colors were seldom employed. This report can be a guide to a corporation for the color and its coordination in the website, when existing brand images need to be intensified and enhanced, or when a new brand image need to be constructed.
This study assessed the effect of color marketing in the RTD coffee industry in Korea. In order to investigate the effect of color marketing, this study measured the characteristics of color marketing as well as brand image and attitude in accordance with behavioral intention to purchase. Data were collected using questionnaires, and a total of 310 questionnaires were distributed with 298 entered for data analysis. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation, and multiple regression analysis were tested using SPSS. A total of seven factors were extracted, including brand attitude, purchase intention, association, identification, brand awareness, symbolism, and attention. Significances were found between brand awareness and identification (p<0.001) and attention (p<0.001). In the relationship between characteristics of colors and brand attitude, significances were found in identification (p<0.001), attention (p<0.001), and association (p<0.001). Further, brand attitude and brand awareness had a significant positive effect on purchasing intention of RTD coffee. Results of this study suggested that color marketing is a good marketing tool to persuade potential consumers to purchase RTD coffee based on brand attitude and brand awareness.
The purpose of this paper is to improve efficiency in establishing brand identity by researching the effect of local airlines' use of color identity on consumer's brand awareness. Case analysis on color image has first been implemented. And then an empirical study has been carried out in order to measure the effects of consumer's brand awareness based on color image and correlation of an airline company's image with its color image on formation of brand image. Airline's use of color identity, associated with color image, plays an important role in consumer's brand association. Also, the importance of color application will be raised identifying that it has a positive impact in establishing domestic airline's brand identity. This will contribute to the domestic airlines in emerging as global leaders with distinct brand identities and competitive edge. Furthermore, this study will suggest continuing research focusing on new aspects in sensuous consumption behavior given that existing researches on airline's brand have been limited to human services, system, and flight operation.

The first objective of this paper is to develop the frame of design analysis and color plan strategy for the entire brand. A variety of analyses were carried out on the base of the I.R.I system and the semiotic viewpoint to develop the analysis frame for the entire brand meaning and color. The major part of the research is assigned to secure the validity of the analysis framework that is to be applied to the brand environment. Also, by SWOT analysis, analysis consistency has been maintained in design integration based on color frame. And theoretical review was made on color strategy planning. Through this, we attempt to explore the role of total brand strategy and color design requirements and analysis process. As a result, visualization of brand and color has been established by conceptualizing the ideal-type of commercial success. In conclusion, we have demonstrated the results of image analysis of whole brand through commercialization, visualization and expression through analysis and application of design process of total brand, and also showed the process of optimizing color design plan.
The fashion clothing market is changing due to the appearance of new consumer group. And the import of foreign brand clothing is highly increasing. The purpose of this study is to help the domestic apparel companies set better market-ing strategy by studying the relation between fashion ivolvement and the purchase be-havior of foreign brand clothing. Subjects were 498 new generation women living Seoul metropolitan area. Data were obtained by questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS package. The main findings of this study are as follows; 1. The result of factor-analysis of the fashion involvement's variables were classified into 8 factors. 2. Consumer's main purpose of buying new clothes were To coordinate clothes with each other' 3. Consumers evaluated every clothing factors: color fit etc of foreign brand very highly except the price. 4. The factor that consumers consider most when choosing clothes is color design fit de-tail texture and brand knowledge in order. 5. the advertizing method that consumers care the most was shop and window display. 6. 'Because design and color are good' were the most important factor as motive of buying foreign brand clothing. 7. Most consumers still bought domestic brand clothing. 7. Most consumers still bought domestic brand clothing. 8. Monthly income and purchase of foreign brand were positively related 9. All variables 2of fashion involment were positively related with the purchase of foreign brand 10. Consumers with higher monthly income did not care much about 'Weather or occasion' when buying clothes. And consumers living in Kangnam(compared with consumers linving in Kangbuk) cared more about personality and bought more foreign brand. 'Social and econ-omic status' were highly related with monthly income residence and purchase of foreign brand clothing 11. Older consumers cared more about color figure texture and fit than younger con-sumer. Monthly income were positively re-lated with design color and figure. Residence were highly related with color and figure. Pur-chase of foreign brand clothing were positively related with design color figure and fit. 12. Younger consumers cared more about brand knowledge. And the purchase of foreign brand clothing were positively related with de-sign detail and brand knowledge. 13. Consumers with foreign brand's purchase experience showed negative relation between ;foreign brand's purchasing experience' and 'Weather or occasion' 14. Consumers with no foreign brand's pur-chasing experience showed negative relation between fashion innovativeness and figure. 15. Consumers with no foreign brand's pur-chasing experience showed positive relation between fit and fashion opinion exchange. The study shows that colors is most import-ant factor in purchasing clothes. And imported brands are very strong in terms of proposing various and unique colors. not all brands succeeded in Korea. Those brands that failed to group consumers have the following problems. Therefore it is critical to review the above factors when importing the foreign brand.
In this research, through experiments, we show that incongruity of color between mediums has positive influence on brand attitude in terms of integrated management of brand. We also present that self-image congruence of 'brand-consumer' has moderating effect on such influence of color incongruity. Mediums were limited to the ones that magnifying visual influence in order only to observe influence of color. With the same reason, visual factors other than color were coherently set or held constant and we chose brands with either low familarity or no previous knowledge. As a result, we find that brand attitude by the incongruity of color between mediums was higher compared to brand attitude by the congruence of color. In case with lower self-image congruence of brand-consumer we show higher change in attitude compared to the one with higher self-image congruence of brand-consumer. We believe our findings are interesting to note that brand may be enhanced by forming positive brand attitude through brand expression i.e., color of visual factors. In addition, we suggest that level of congruence and diversity of brand expression is in fact deeper or wider than that of brand manager's intuition. We see that it is possible for studying brands the incongruity which has been studied as a strategy to reposition mature brands can be a way of improving the recognition on new brands.
