실사고 기반 자동긴급제동장치 차량의 교차로 사고 경향 분석 (Analysis of Intersection Accident Trend of Autonomous Emergency Braking system Vehicle based on Actual Accident)

  • The purpose of this study is to predict how the actual accident changes by reconstructing the accident with an Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB) based on the actual accident of the LTAP-OD (Left Turn Crossing Path - Opponent Direction) intersection. A virtual AEB sensor was developed, and 150 head-on collision accident reports were secured to the insurance company to reconstruct the accident. As a result of the accident type analysis, a total of 13 types of head-on collision accidents were derived, and it is the LTAP-OD intersection accident with the highest frequency. In the LTAP-OD intersection accident, the simulation was conducted by applying the virtual AEB of each vehicle, the accident rate decreased by 90% or more when the AEB of the left-turn vehicle was applied, and the accident rate decreased by 50%. In addition, the most frequent collision types in LTAP-OD accidents were the front bumper on the driver's side of a vehicle going straight and the front bumper on the passenger's side of a vehicle turning left.

유로조건에 따른 압축공기 초음속 유동 현상의 해석 연구 (Numerical Study on the Super Sonic Phenomenon of Compressed Air according to the Flow Path Conditions)

  • 일반적으로 열차 제동을 위한 제동력은 압축공기를 활용하여 제공된다. 열차에 상황별로 적절 제동력을 가하기 위해 사용하는 압력밸브 시스템은 복잡한 유동 회로를 가진다. 이를 일반적인 기계가공으로 제작 시, 유로형상 설계에 제약이 있는 반면, 3D 프린팅 기법으로 제작시 유동 효율을 증대할 수 있는 유로형상 제작이 가능하다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 기존의 제작 방식으로 유로를 제작하는 경우와, 3D프린팅의 장점을 살려, 자유로운 형상의 유로를 제작하는 경우를 비교하여, 압력 밸브 시스템 내의 압축공기 유동의 현상을 해석적으로 분석하였다. 해석을 위한 조건으로는, 유로 방향이 바뀔 때 유로의 곡률 크기, 유로의 직경, 입구 및 저장소 압력의 크기, 그리고 압축공기의 초기 온도로 구분하였다. 압력손실의 최소화 및 유동 특성의 균일성이 제동 효율 개선에 영향을 주는 요인이므로, 수치해석을 통한 연구를 통해 일반적인 기계가공을 통한 직각 유로 형상보다는 3D 프린팅을 통한 곡률 유로의 경우가 제동효율 개선에 유리함을 확인하였다.

능동전륜조향장치 및 능동후륜제동장치의 통합제어기 개발 (Development of an Integrated Control System between Active Front Wheel System and Active Rear Brake System)

  • An integrated dynamic control (IDCF) with an active front steering system and an active rear braking system is proposed and developed in this study. A fuzzy logic controller is applied to calculate the desired additional steering angle and desired slip of the rear inner wheel. To validate IDCF system, an eight degree of freedom, nonlinear vehicle model and a sliding mode wheel slip controller are also designed. Various road conditions are used to test the performance. The results show that the yaw rate of IDCF vehicle followed the reference yaw rate and reduced the body slip angle, compared with uncontrolled vehicle. Thus, the IDCF vehicle had enhanced lateral stability and controllability.

  • The Objective of advanced EMU Project is development of new technologies, that can resolve the system problems of conventional EMU, for reducing vehicle maintenance, improving passenger's service using IT and providing environmental friendly. As a concept of advanced EMU, We will develop the DDM with individual driving wheel for reducing of maintenance cost and full-electric braking system without pneumatic braking, and a new bogie for loadable DDM, and pre-diagnosis system which informs possible system error, and decentralization of vehicle control. To improve transport reliability, and energy storage system for saving energy, and fallen passenger detection system for improving passenger's safety at the platform.

  • This study proposed a fault tolerant control algorithm for electro-hydraulic brake systems where permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive is adopted to boost the braking pressure. To cope with motor position sensor faults in the PMSM drive, a braking pressure controller based on an open-loop speed control method for the PMSM was proposed. The magnitude of the current vector was determined from the target braking pressure, and motor rotational speed was derived from the pressure control error to build up the braking pressure. The position offset of the pump piston resulting from a leak in the hydraulic system is also compensated for using the open-loop speed control by moving the piston backward until it is blocked at the end of stroke position. The performance and stability of the proposed controller were experimentally verified. According to the results, the control algorithm can be utilized as an effective means of degraded control for electro-hydraulic brake systems in the case that a motor position sensor fault occurs.

섬유공급 롤링장치의 유압모터 감속도 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reducing Speed Control of Hydraulic Motor of Textiles Supply Rolling Equipment)

  • The textiles supply rolling equipment is a part of inspection machine which inspect finished textiles and it check up textiles through rolling hydraulic equipment. This study suggests a method to select the capacity and initial gas pressure of accumulator to control reducing speed of the hydraulic motor to a desired degree. An accumulator in hydraulic systems is hydraulic machinery which stores kinetic energy of inertia body during braking. A series of computer simulations were done for the brake action and the selection method was based upon a trial and error approach. The results of the simulation work were compared with those of experiments and these results show that the proposed method can be applied effectively to control reducing speed of the hydraulic motor when braking action in textiles rolling system.

웨지 구조를 이용한 전기기계브레이크 시스템 연구 (Study of EMB System Using Wedge Structure)

  • According to the needs of change to hybrid, fuel cell and electric vehicle, and to the increasing demand for safety and eco-friendliness, the necessity of Electro-Mechanical Brake(EMB) is being increased. But, one of the most important problems for realizing EMB to the practical use is that the required motor power for braking is too high. So the high braking efficient EMB is required. In recent years, the Electronic Wedge Brake(EWB) is noticeable for the high braking efficiency. In this research, we examine the improvable matter of the recent published EWB, and we propose the improved mechanism and the cost effective control method using this mechanism. And we test these feasibility by experiment and discuss these meaning and effect.

Analysis of large deformation and fatigue life of fabric braided composite hose subjected to cyclic loading

  • The braking hose in the automotive hydraulic braking system exhibits the complicated anisotropic large deformation while its movable end is moving along the cyclic path according to the steering and bump/rebound motions of vehicle. The complicated large deformation may cause not only the interference with other adjacent automotive parts but also the durability problem resulting in the fatal microcraking. In this regard, the design of high-durable braking hose with the interference-free layout becomes a hot issue in the automotive industry. However, since it has been traditionally relied on the cost-/time-consuming trial and error experiments, the cost- and time-effective optimum design method that can replace the experiment is highly desirable. Meanwhile, the hose deformed configuration and fatigue life are different for different hose cyclic paths, so that their characteristic investigation becomes an important preliminary research subject. As a preliminary step for developing the optimum design methodology, we in this study investigate the hose deformed configuration and the fatigue life for four representative hose cyclic paths.

  • It requires to study on accurate control skill for the technical improvement of servo system require. It needs to study on brake that has constant-torque speed range as load. In this paper, braking torque of eddy current brake between electromagnet stator and rotating disk are analyzed. The torque-speed characteristics and proper disk construction are presented in here. From the computer simulation results, it was found that eddy current braking torque is linear or approximately constant over the desired speed range depending on the rotor material, disk construction, pole number and pole displacement of stator, these are confirmed by experimental results.
