An eBook Adoption Model Based on Smart Devices (스마트기기 기반의 전자책 수용 모형)

  • The widespread use of smart phones and smart pads has given rise to the use of eBook services based on these smart devices. Consequently, the size of eBook services has exploded both in the domestic as well as overseas market. However, the growth curve becomes flatter than before, and the adoption rate is still not high in Korea. Hence, this study explores the factors affecting the intention to use eBook services based on smart devices, and their relationships. Finally, we propose an eBook adoption model, which extends the Technology Adoption Model. An online survey was conducted to validate the research model. By applying Partial Least Squares, we found that there are strong relationships among perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, social influence, and intention to use. In addition, we found that smart devices enjoyment positively affects the perceived playfulness of eBooks, and that personal innovativeness positively affects perceived ease of use. Our findings shed some light on how to design eBook services based on smart devices.

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 다중 사용자 환경의 eBook 어노테이션 시스템 개발에서 데이터를 의미 기반으로 관리하고, 데이터에 대하여 상호 공통적인 이해를 표현하며, 그리고 데이터에 대한 무결성 검사 등을 지원하기 위해서 eBook 어노테이션 온톨로지를 구축하였다. eBook 어노테이션 테이터에 대한 상호 공통적인 이해의 표현을 위해서 한국 전자책 문서 표준인 EBKS(Electronic Book of Korea Standard)를 기반으로 구축 하였으며 구축된 온톨로지는 Conceptual Graph(CG)를 사용하여 표현하였다. 의미 기반의 처리를 위해서 본 온톨로지에서는 다국어(Multilingua) 관계를 고려하였으며 또한 오노테이션 데이터 생성 시 중요도를 표현하기 위해서 중요성 axiom을 고려했고, $NF^2$(Non-First Normal Form)에 입각하여 온톨로지를 설계함으로서 어노테이션 데이터의 검색에 활용도를 높였다. 제안된 온톨로지는 어노테이션 데이터의 재사용성을 높일 수 있고 의미 정보를 활용함으로써 eLearning, cyberclass과 같은 다중 사용자 환경에서 효과적인 협업을 가능하게 한다. 본 연구에서는 구현한 eBook annotation 시스템은 구축한 온톨로지를 사용함으로써 의미 기반의 데이터 관리가 가능하다. 또한 어노테이션 생성 시 온톨로지 구조를 모르더라도 어노테이션을 생성할 수 있는 인터페이스를 구현하였다.

  • 발전하는 IT 기술은 사회, 문화, 교육 등 전 산업 분야에 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며, e-book 및 콘텐츠 시장은 여러 산업분야에서 주목받고 있는 중요한 기술개발분야 중에 한 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 현재까지 e-book의 경우 비 표준화 확장, 단 방향성 비 상호작용, 2차원적인 콘텐츠 사용 등 여러가지 한계적 사용에 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 WebGL 3D 콘텐츠를 이용한 인터렉티브 가상 시뮬레이션 e-book 협업 저작도구를 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 표준화된 HTML5 기술과 IDPF에서 제안된 EPUB3를 통해 기존의 e-book 활용의 한계점들을 극복하고, WebGL 웹 표준 기술을 적용하여 인터렉티브 가상 시뮬레이션 사용이 가능한 전자책 그래픽 요소를 구현 하였다. 향후 본 연구를 통해 표준화된 e-book 콘텐츠 시장의 활성화와 효율적인 교육 도구의 발전을 기대한다.

  • 본 연구는 3차원 가상현실 e-book도서관 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 제안한 시스템은 입체적 가상공간의 전자도서관으로 사이버 상에서 실제의 도서관을 방문한 것처럼 사용자 우호적 인터페이스로 자료를 관리/서비스할 수 있는 가상현실 전자도서관 시스템이다. 이 시스템은 문헌 정보에 대한 온톨로지 기반의 정보검색 에이전트로 개발되며, 온라인 서비스를 통한 3차원 가상현실에서 도서관을 네비게이션으로 이동하면서 문헌을 검색할 수 있다.

  • According to Mental accounting theory, humans sort money according to their psychological purpose. It plays a major role as a means of self-control. However, humans sometimes make mistakes that violate very simple economic principles. Many consumers experience this mistakes. So consumers use account book to manage their income and expenses. These days, they use mobile account book applications. And because of platform characteristics, there are various user interfaces. This paper examines an efficient user interface design that can reduce errors caused by mental accounting and support rational economic activities. For this, we compared and analyzed households exposed on top of Application store based on advanced research on Mental Accounting. Through this case study, We found some cases of efficient user interface for reasonable consumption. In further studies, We will design optimal account book's UI and do a usability test based on this.

Whe n we take a look at the commercial success of "Puppy s shit", it is possible that domestic work holds a position in the publishing market. "Puppy s shit" is the story about valuable nature with Korean styled illustration, which tells the prefemece of Korean book in do mestic pu blis hin f.i market.   • Recently, consumer who has a desire to spend less money want to buy a cheap and good product because of long economy recession. Secondhand trading is regarded as a good method which allows people to buy cheap and good product. Activation of secondhand trading reduces the psychological distance among customers. Especially, in the case of expensive books such as major books, each university has community only for used book trading. However, existing used book community is hard to find current real-time trading state at a look, and it is impossible to purchase reasonably because of a one-way pricing of the seller. In this paper, we design and implement a used book trading web service using an auction system which can help anyone to trade used book easily. It is designed web based system and it provides convenience to user through efficient book registration function and book search function.

  • A study on e-book viewer terminal in the native language of the platform-dependent studies are based, This is inefficient in memory usage and screen rendering speed, and there are frequent system updates, e-book viewer, the nature of mobile terminal platform application compatibility issues may occur. In this paper, using the mobile app framework in order to design e-book e-book viewer, analyzed the structure of ePub file parser and file more structured modules were designed and MVC. Designed and implemented to test the functionality of the memory information that is currently running to provide the ability to show the relationship of DDMS and layout components were used to show Hierarchy Viewer. As a result, rendering the screen 150%, 84% in the heap memory usage, improved performance was confirmed.
