군간부 숙소에 적용된 중용량 및 멀티 보일러 시스템의 난방 및 급탕에너지 비교 (Heating and Hot Water Supply Energy Comparison of Medium Capacity and Multi Boilers System applied to Military Officer Housing)

  • Heating and hot water supply energy consumption of medium and multi boiler systems applied to military officer housing are compared with in-situ experiment and TRNSYS dynamic simulation program. In a multiple boiler system, small capacity boilers are connected in parallel to meet the required capacity. For handling partial loads, medium capacity boiler relies on on-off control, while multi boiler adopts PI control. Since multi boiler has higher efficiency and better control strategy, the results show that energy consumption can be reduced significantly with the multi boiler system.

  • In this paper we obtain a discrete mathmatical model of a Boiler control system from expermental data, we find appropriate input signal and parameter estimation algorithm for identification of the Boiler control system in power plant. Under these conditions experimental data are collected from real system and parameters are estimated by the Recursive Least Square algorithm. The computer simulation results show the parameter estimation algorithm for identification and the effectiveness of controller design of the Boiler control system.

  • In this paper a boiler control system simulator is designed and inplemeted in order to evaluate performance of the Fault Tolerant Control System. It simulates a boiler control system of a thermal power plant containtng boiler process, peripheral units and analog controller. The simulator uses a low order linear model for boiler first order models for the peripheral unit. Specifically the model of the analog controller is modularized and transformed to digital form if order to be implemented using a micro-processor board. The experimental results show the usability of the developed simulator for the performance test of the FTCS.

  • This paper proposes supplementary control of conventional coordinated control of a power plant which directly affects network frequency. The supplementary control with dynamic matrix control is applied for 1000 MW power plant with ultra-supercritical (USC) once-through boiler. The supplementary control signal is added to the boiler feedforward signal in the existing coordinated control logic. Therefore, it is a very practical structure that can maintain the existing multi-loop control system. This supplementary controller uses the step response model for the power plant system, and on-line optimization is performed at every sampling step. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed supplementary control in a wide operating range of a practical 1000 MW USC power plant simulator. These results can contribute the stable operation of power system frequency.

  • Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) dynamic matrix control (DMC) technique is applied to control steam temperatures in a large-scale ultrasupercritical once-through boiler-turbine system. Specifically, four output variables (i.e., outlet temperatures of platen superheater, finish superheater, primary reheater, and finish reheater) are controlled using four input variables (i.e., two spray valves, bypass valve, and damper). The step-response matrix for the MIMO DMC is constructed using the four input and the four output variables. Online optimization is performed for the MIMO DMC using the model predictive control technique. The MIMO DMC controller is implemented in a full-scope power plant simulator with satisfactory performance.

  • Tangjin Power Plant is modern Korean standard plant which is made up Once Through Super Critical Boiler, Turbin, Generator and Flue Gas Desulfarization System. INFI-90 system fur control of the 500 MW Korean standard super critical once through boiler Mark-V for Turbine, EX-2000 fer Generator, WDPF for FGD were installed in Tangiin thermal power plant. There were two BFPTs, BFPM, 25% control valve, 35% control valve to control boiler feed water flow. It is very difficult to tune the Separator Tank level control system and change the mode from Wet to Dry. This paper focuses on test results and modification control logic for feed water control system in Tangjin power plant.

  • Three single loop fuzzy logic controllers are designed independently for the control of boiler system of fossil-power plant. The control rules and the membership functions of proposed fuzzy logic control system are generated automatically without using plant model. The simulation shows successful results for wide range operation of boiler system of fossil-power plant.

  • This paper is written for the development and application of boiler fuel control algorithm and distributed control system of coal-fired power plant by the steps of design, coding, simulation test, site installation and site commissioning test. Fuel control algorithm has the upper algorithm and it is boiler master control algorithm that controls the fuel, feed water, air by generation output demand. Generation output demand by power load influences fuel control. Because fuel can not be supplied fast to the furnace of boiler, fuel control algorithm was designed adequately to control the steam temperature and to prevent the explosion of boiler. This control algorithms were coded to the control programs of distributed control systems which were developed domestically for the first time. Simulator for coal-fired power plant was used in the test step. After all of distributed control systems were connected to the simulator, the tests of the actual power plant were performed successfully. The reliability was obtained enough to be installed at the actual power plant and all of distributed control systems had been installed at power plant and all signals were connected mutually. Tests for reliability and safety of plant operation were completed successfully and power plant is being operated commercially. It is expected that the project result will contribute to the safe operation of domestic new and retrofit power plants, the self-reliance of coal-fired power plant control technique and overseas business for power plant.

  • It is important and difficult to control the steam temperature in the once through boiler. Generally, steam temperature of once through boiler not only is controlled by boiler spray water flow, but also is influenced by feed water flow and fuel flow. So we have to make the same gain of fuel flow controller and feed water flow controller. This paper is shown the design and test of steam temperature and feed water flow control system for once through boiler in pusan thermal power plant.

  • In this paper, we present simulation results of Dynamic Matrix Control(DMC) to a boiler steam temperature. In order to control of steam temperature, we choose the input-output variables and generate the step response model by each input variable's step test. After that, the control structure executes on-line control with optimization using step response model. Proposed controller is applied to the APESS(Doosan company's boiler model simulator) and it is observed that the simulation results show satisfactory performance of proposed control.
