Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to report clinical effectiveness of the Boheo-tang-gagambang with acupuncture, moxa and physiotherapy treatments on the after-effects of myomectomy or hysterectomy. Methods: The subjects of this study were five women who were diagnosed with uterine myoma and underwent myomectomy or hysterectomy. They mainly complained of lower abdominal pain, back pain, and pelvic pain. They received combination treatment of Korean medicine and physiotherapy. The Korean medicine included Boheo-tang-gagambang, acupuncture and moxa. The effects were evaluated through Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: In this study, patient's clinical symptoms, including lower abdominal pain, low back pain, and pelvic pain, improved after hospitalization treatment. Conclusions: This case report shows that the combination treatment of Korean medicine with Boheo-tang-gagambang, acupuncture and moxa may be effective for treating after-effects of myomectomy or hysterectomy.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Boheo-tang Gagambang (BG) with acupuncture and moxa treatments on the after-effects of hysterectomy. Methods Three women who were undertaken a hysterectomy within a month were enrolled in this study. They complained of abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea, fatigue, etc. BG was prescribed 3 times a day and the acupuncture and moxa treatments were applied to decrease pain and improve the symptoms. Results After the acupuncture and moxa treatments with BG, symptoms were markedly decreased. Conclusions These clinical cases indicated that BG were effective in the treatments for patients who were undertaken a hysterectomy.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medicine treatment on chronic pelvic pain with gynecological diseases. Methods: Three female patients with gynecological diseases who suffered from chronic pelvic pain got Korean medicine treatment such as Boheo-tang-gagambang, acupuncture, Jungsongouhyul pharmacopuncture, moxibustion, fumigation therapy with Hyeonhosaek-tang and Sasangja-tang and physiotherapy during hospitalization. Numerical Rating Scale(NRS) of pains and percentage of other symptoms were measured every morning. Results: In three cases, after 9, 15, and 22 days of treatment in each case, pelvic pain decreased by more than 50% and other symptoms were also improved. Conclusions: These cases showed that Korean medicine treatment of chronic pelvic pain with gynecological diseases was effective for alleviating symptoms.
