Background Open thyroidectomy is conventionally performed at the anterior side of neck, which is a body part with a comparatively great degree of open exposure; due to this, postoperative scarring may cause distress in patients. We aimed to compare the effects of ablative and nonablative fractional laser treatments on thyroidectomy scars. We examined medical records in a retrospective manner and analyzed scars based on their digital images by using the modified Manchester Scar Scale (mMSS). Methods Between February 2012 and May 2013, 55 patients with thyroidectomy scars were treated with ablative (34 patients) or nonablative (21 patients) fractional laser. Each patient underwent 4 laser treatment sessions in 3-4 week intervals, 1-2 months postoperatively. Scar improvement was assessed using patient images and the mMSS scale. Results The mean decrease in scar score was 3.91 and 3.47 in the ablative and nonablative groups, respectively; the reduction between 2 groups did not exhibit any significant difference (P=0.16). We used the scale once again to individually evaluate scar attributes. The nonablative group accounted for a considerably higher color score value (P=0.03); the ablative group accounted for a considerably higher contour score value (P<0.01). Patient satisfaction was high and no complications occurred. Conclusions Both types of fractional laser treatments can be used successfully for thyroidectomy scar treatment with minimal complications; however, results indicate that higher effectiveness may be obtained from the use of ablative and nonablative lasers for hypertrophic scars and early erythematous scars, respectively. Therefore, the appropriate laser for scar treatment should be selected according to its specific characteristics.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the willingness to adopt mass customization and four proposed characteristics: organizational, individual, technological, and environmental. Retail managers' and consumers' point of view was separately examined to distinguish their characteristics and willingness to adopt mass customization. The sample of this study consisted of 66 managers and 274 consumers in their twenties. The researcher obtained seven findings from the hypotheses testing. The determinants of mass customization adoption were managers' technology and environmental characteristics, and consumers' individual, technology, and environmental characteristics. The most influential variables for the willingness to adopt mass customization were technology characteristics and retailer's customer relationship management process, where customer satisfaction and customer relationships are the top priority in an organization.

Acne is a common chronic disease which most frequently affects the face, appearing in both males and females near puberty, and in most cases becomes less active as adolescence ends. The intensity and duration of activity vary for each individual. The disease may be minor, with only a few comedones or papules, or it may occur as the highly inflammatory and diffusely scarring acne conglobation. Permanent scarring of the skin and psyche can result from such inaction. The disease, however, has implications far beyond the few marks that may appear on the face. The lesions cannot be hidden under clothing; each is prominently displayed and detracts significantly from one's personal appearance and self-esteem. Recently many of acne patients are visiting to Oriental Medicine Hospitals. They want to receive the treatment of acne related another disease and causes, or worry about side effects of antibiotics and hormone therapy. This study was performed at Pundang Cha Oriental Medicine Hospital Department of Dermatology from March 1, 1997 to February 29, 2000 in 31 patients with recurrent acne. We investigated the clinical findings, included distribution of age & sex, severity of acne, sites on face, related causes, duration of disease and causes of visiting Oriental Medicine Hospital and so on. The results were as follows : The peak age at onset was 20-29 years old in females with 16 cases reported. The 22 total cases patients had severe signs with most frequently sites being forehead & chin. They visited Oriental Medicine Hospital because they want to take the treatment of acne related with another body problems(12 cases) and worry about side effects of antibiotics. Twenty cases were diagnosed 肺熱血熱(20 cases). And given acupuncture treatment, herb-medication and sometimes we used external applications. Relatively, their satisfaction grade was high. Dermatologists are trying to treat new methods in order to remove scar and decrease sebaceous gland secretion,. And we, Oriental Medicine doctors, have to develop and offer to patients the most effective management and successful treatment of this disease.
We need to develop a target market for elderly women by increasing the ratio of functional apparel. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing a Leisure Sports Jumper and improving the quality of life of clothing for female elderly consumers. This study reviewed the current situation on the production of the functional Leisure Sports Jumper for the elderly women in literature. For the experimental study, we selected Leisure Sports Jumpers from five apparel brands, and evaluated a sensory test on 20 subjects representing the average body shape of the elderly women aged from 65 to 75. After the first sensory test, we manipulated the patterns for samples of the Leisure Sports Jumper. In the second sensory test, visual and cognitive appropriateness of the Leisure sports jumpers were assessed by the elderly women. The results of the study were as follows: the Leisure Sports Jumper of brand 'C' showed the highest appropriateness in terms of neck, armholes, and sleeves among the 5 brands. The Leisure Sports Jumper of brands 'B' and 'D' showed the lowest appropriateness in the width of the armpits among the 5 brands. Except for the length of the Leisure Sports Jumper, the margin, location of the pocket, and armholes had the lowest score in the first test showing over 3.5 points.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine physical activities and health belief in order to provide basic data on obesity prevention and management among elementary school students based on the health belief model. Methods: Participants included 194 fifth grade students in an elementary school located in Seoul. Data were collected by questionnaires and physical measurement, including weight and height. The SPSS Win 17.0 program using descriptive statistics, ANOVA with Scheff$\acute{e}$ post hoc tests, and Cronbach's alpha coefficients was used in data analysis. Results: Significant differences were observed in physical activity according to perceived severity (F=3.444, p=.034), perceived benefit (F=7.674, p=.001), perceived barrier (F=21.014, p<.001), and self-efficacy (F=22.098, p<.001). A significant difference in physical activity (t=4.502, p<.001) and perceived severity (t=-2.278, p=.024) was observed according to gender. Significant differences in physical activity (t=7.633, p=.006), perceived barrier (t=10.826, p=.001), and self-efficacy (t=5.928, p=.016) were observed according to obesity status. Significant differences were observed in physical activity (F=7.503, p=.001), perceived susceptibility (F=37.904, p<.001), and perceived barrier (F=3.425, p=.035) depending on level of satisfaction with body image. Conclusions: In order to promote physical activity among children with low physical activity, development of program with an emphasis on the benefits of physical activity and physical activity self-efficacy, and to decrease the barriers to physical activity is needed.

This study proposes a novel context-aware recommender system, which is designed to recommend the items according to the customer's responses to the previously recommended item. In specific, our proposed system predicts the user's emotional state from his or her responses (such as facial expressions and movements) to the previous recommended item, and then it recommends the items that are similar to the previous one when his or her emotional state is estimated as positive. If the customer's emotional state on the previously recommended item is regarded as negative, the system recommends the items that have characteristics opposite to the previous item. Our proposed system consists of two sub modules-(1) emotion prediction module, and (2) responsive recommendation module. Emotion prediction module contains the emotion prediction model that predicts a customer's arousal level-a physiological and psychological state of being awake or reactive to stimuli-using the customer's reaction data including facial expressions and body movements, which can be measured using Microsoft's Kinect Sensor. Responsive recommendation module generates a recommendation list by using the results from the first module-emotion prediction module. If a customer shows a high level of arousal on the previously recommended item, the module recommends the items that are most similar to the previous item. Otherwise, it recommends the items that are most dissimilar to the previous one. In order to validate the performance and usefulness of the proposed recommender system, we conducted empirical validation. In total, 30 undergraduate students participated in the experiment. We used 100 trailers of Korean movies that had been released from 2009 to 2012 as the items for recommendation. For the experiment, we manually constructed Korean movie trailer DB which contains the fields such as release date, genre, director, writer, and actors. In order to check if the recommendation using customers' responses outperforms the recommendation using their demographic information, we compared them. The performance of the recommendation was measured using two metrics-satisfaction and arousal levels. Experimental results showed that the recommendation using customers' responses (i.e. our proposed system) outperformed the recommendation using their demographic information with statistical significance.

A discrete dynamic model for tracking feature points in 2D images is developed. Conventional snake approaches deform a contour to lock onto features of interest within an image by finding a minimum of its energy functional, composed of internal and external forces. The neighborhood around center snaxel is a space matrix, typically rectangular. The structure of the model proposed in this paper is a set of connected vertices. Energy model is designed for its local minima to comprise the set of alternative solutions available to active process. Block on tracking is one dimension, line type. Initial starting points are defined to the satisfaction of indent states, which is then automatically modified by an energy minimizing process. The track is influenced by curvature constraints, ascent/descent or upper/lower points. The advantages and effectiveness of this layer approach may also be applied to feature points tracking of digital image whose pixels have one directional properties with high autocorrelation between adjacent data lines, vertically or horizontally. The test image is the ultrasonic carotid artery image of human body, and we have verified its effect on intima/adventitia starting points tracking.
The study aims to design the corset type long-line bra patterns that compensate part-somatotype of women in their 20s. The corset type long-line research bra patterns consist of 4 sections: cup, front bodice, back bodice, and shoulder strap. The full cup is made up of 2 lower part pieces and 1 upper part piece, and the shoulder strap is 16 millimeters wide. The method to design the patterns is shown in figure 4 and figure 5. The result of wearing test showed that, while the wearing testers recognized some significant differences in 19 out of 26 criteria, the examiners did in 17 out of 23. The criteria more than 1 in an average value between research bras and commercial bras were 'appropriateness of breadth of shoulder strap', 'appropriateness of pressure of armhole circumference'. 'appropriateness of pressure of waist', 'suitability of side line and body curve', 'appropriateness of positional pressure of chest circumference', 'appropriateness of positional pressure of upper part line', 'appropriateness of positional pressure of bottom part line', and 'satisfaction of whole silhouette of side and back'. The research and commercial bras were evaluated 4.23 and 3.44 respectively by the testers, and 4.25 and 3.40 by the examiners. The former ones were scored higher by both parties. They were also appreciated higher in general silhouettes of fitting and appearance.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of depression among school girls in Korea and identify factors influencing the tendency to depression. Methods: A self-report survey was conducted with South Korean middle schoolgirls who were in the 8th and 9th grades. Four hundred and one schoolgirls were included in the study. The instruments utilized in this study were the Center for Epidemiologic Studies - Depression Scale and Social Problem Solving Inventory-Revised. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and multiple logistic regression with SPSS WIN 14.0 program. Results: The average depression score of the participants was 20.68, which indicates moderate levels of depression. About 35% of the schoolgirls in this study reported a tendency to depression. Significant predictors for depression were 'decreased problem-solving abilities', 'no family members with whom they can discuss their concern', 'decreased satisfaction in relationship with friends', and 'increased negative self-perception of body-image'. Conclusion: The study findings suggest that schoolgirls require special concern regarding the risk of developing depression. Regular depression screening could be beneficial for early detection of depression in schoolgirls and enhancing problem-solving ability could be considered as an effective strategy to reduce the risk of depression among schoolgirls.
To develop the traditional tea culture into tourism product, we will review the characteristics of traditional tea culture. Since our ancestor introduced tea, our tea culture has expressed the culture and spirit of ancestors' life and practiced the body and mind. Based on this facts, we want to build the program for applying.the tea culture into the characteristics of tourism products. The program for tea culture is following; reception; visiting the Korean Tea Museum consisting of reception room, tea-related document room, tea pottery room and korean traditional dress room; experiencing tea ceremony, tea traditional foods, natural dyeing, tea pottery making and tea etiquette; seeing visitors out. However, we didn't evaluate the satisfaction of tourists from Japan, China, America and Europe who participated in this program through the objective data. But they understood the excellency and creativity of Korean traditional culture through experiencing Korean invisible-visible culture. Therefore this study intends to develop the program for the attractive and differentiated culture tourism and build the competitive model of Korean culture tourism product.
