FLBT를 향해 접안하는 LNGC의 수치해석 및 안정성 평가 (Numerical Assessment of LNGC Berthing Operation to FLBT)

  • 국제해사기구의 연료유 황 함유량 제한 등, 세계적으로 강화되고 있는 환경규제로 LNG를 선박 연료로 사용하는 연구 및 사업이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기본설계 되어 있는 부유식 벙커링 터미널(FLBT, Floating LNG bunkering terminal)을 대상으로, STS LNG 하역 작업을 위해 접안 하는 과정을 수치 시뮬레이션으로 평가하였다. 수치해석에서는 예인선이 대상선박을 밀 경우 이를 가상의 펜더로 가정하였으며, 당길 때는 HMPE 로프 특성을 적용하였다. 해석에는 파랑, 조류, 바람 1년 재현 확률의 해상조건을 적용하였다. 수치모델은 선행 모형시험 결과로부터 조정되어 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 해석 결과 LNG선은 대부분의 1년 환경조건에서 안전한 접안이 가능하였다. 파랑 방향에 따라 안정성의 차이가 큼으로 FLBT의 Heading control 기능을 적용하여 횡파를 피한다면 더욱 안정적인 운용이 가능할 것이다.

  • 해양수산부는 2016년 유실어구에 의한 피해를 최소화하기 위해 전자어구실명제 실행계획을 발표하였다. 어구의 과다사용 및 폐어구 저감을 위해 어구의 종류 및 위치, 사용자의 실명을 포함한 정보를 IoT 기반의 통신을 이용하여 어선 및 관제센터에 효율적으로 전송할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 그 중 트래커 해양 부이 시스템은 사물 인터넷 기반의 통신 기술 중 하나인 NB-IoT통신을 이용하여 부이의 위치 및 수집된 상태정보를 관제센터에 전송하는 시스템으로써 장시간 해상에 배치되어 운용된다. 본 논문에서는 해양 트래커 부이 시스템을 저 전력으로 운용하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하고, 제안하는 알고리즘에 따라 설계 제작된 부이 장치의 소비 전류를 측정하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.

견인되는 선박의 조종성능 개선에 관한 연구 : 시스템 모델링 (A study on maneuvering performance improvement of a towed vessel without a power propulsion system: system modeling)

  • In this study, a motion control problem for the vessels towed by tugboats or towing ships on the sea is considered. The towed vessel looks like the barge ship, which is used for many purposes. In these vessels, basically, the power propulsion system is not installed but just towed by a towing vessel such as tugboats with ropes and wires. It means that the motions of towed vessel are basically dependent on the tracking route of towing boat. Therefore, in some cases, undesirable and unpredictable motions may be made by environmental factors such as wave, wind attack and so on. As a result, a collision accident with others may occur during maneuvering situation. Based on these facts, the authors try to encourage the steering performance of the towed vessel by using controllable rudders without any propulsion system. In this study, especially, a controllable vessel with three rudders is considered, and a mathematical model is induced for the future study. The model is described as surge, sway motion and inertia moment by following the general representation method for the surface ship.

The Comparison and Analysis of Maritime Precise Positioning using GPS Based Smartphone

  • According to the Korea Coast Guard's maritime disaster statistics (Korea Coast Guard 2017, Korean Statistical information Service 2018), an average of 2,140 marine accidents occurred every year for the past 6 years and the number of accidents is increasing every year. Among them, maritime accidents of fishing vessels are the most frequent, and recently accidents involving fishing boat and leisure vessels are rapidly increasing as well. In particular, the number of accidents involving leisure vessels increased to about one-third of the accidents of fishing vessels, and emergency rescue requests are increasing every year accordingly. However, the number of crash accidents involving users of small vessels and marine leisure activities are increasing because of the difficulties of installing navigation equipment and electronic navigation charts. Recently, the demand for precise positioning using mobile devices is increasing in the fields of maritime safety, piloting support, and coastal survey. Although various applications of smart devices provide location-based services for users, the measurement results are discontinuous when using the position coordinates of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) calculated by smartphone. Recently, Google announced that they will provide GPS raw data to developers from Android 7.0 Nougat. As a result, developers have an opportunity to receive precise carrier phase and code measurements to make more accurate positioning according to the performance of Android devices. This study analyzed GPS positioning performance using Android devices, and compared and analyzed the positioning performance at sea with high-performance GPS receivers.

안전·운용 지원 시스템을 적용한 해양레저선박 이송장치 개발 (Development of Transporter for Marine Leisure Ship with Safety and Operation Support System)

  • Recently, the interest in marine leisure activities has been growing rapidly with the work-life balance trend. In response to this demand, the Korean government is supporting fostering and revitalizing the relevant industries and facilities. In particular, a marina has been making efforts to change itself into a resort with multiple amenities instead of a simple mooring facility. However, the facilities in a marina for the transport of marine leisure equipment mostly consist of cranes and boat-lifts using ropes, which can result in incidents such as damage and accidents during lifting or movement. This paper proposes the equipment and support system for the safe transportation of marine leisure ships. Aluminum transport equipment was designed by performing a structural analysis to achieve a lighter weight than the existing steel products. In addition, a safety support system with alarms for tilting or obstacles and a slope monitoring system was developed to enhance the safety during operation and transportation. The safety support system developed in this study was implemented and installed in the transport system, and verified through commissioning on land.

소형 ROV를 이용한 IDEF0 기반의 수중 미확인 물체 식별절차에 관한 연구 (Study on Identification Procedure for Unidentified Underwater Targets Using Small ROV Based on IDEF Method)

  • Various sizes of ROVs are being utilized in offshore industrial, scientific, and military applications all around the world. Because of innovative developments in science and technology, image acquisition devices such as sonar devices and cameras have been reduced in size and their performance has been improved. Thus, we can expect better accuracy and higher resolution even in the case of exploration using a small ROV. The purpose of this paper is to prepare a standard procedure for the identification of unidentified hazardous materials found during the National Oceanographic Survey. In this paper, we propose an IDEF (Integrated DEFinition) method modeling technique to identify unidentified targets using a small ROV. In accordance with the proposed procedure, an ROV survey was carried out on target No.16 with a four-ton-class fishing boat as a support vessel on September 18th of 2018 in the sea near Daebu Island. Unidentified targets, which were not known by the multi-beam data obtained from the ship, could be identified as concrete pipes by analyzing the HD camera and high-resolution sonar images acquired by the ROV. The whole proposed procedure could be verified, and the survey with the small ROV required about 10 days to identify the target in one place.

해외에서 발생한 위험에 대한 두려움이 해외여행 선택에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Choice of Overseas Travel on Fear of risk in Overseas)

  • 연구목적: 해외에서 발생한 각종 위험으로 인한 두려움이 해외여행 선택에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위한 목적을 가진 연구이다. 연구방법: 해외여행 직전의 국민들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 통계기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 범죄를 비롯하여 테러, 자연재해, 사고 등 각종 위험에 직면할 경우 이에 대한 두려움이 발생하는데, 이러한 두려움은 시민들의 일상생활에 악영향을 끼치게 되고, 일상생활이 위축시켜 지역에 큰 악영향을 끼치곤 한다. 특히, 글로벌 시대에 맞춰 해외여행이 활성화됨에 따라 해외에서 발생한 위험은 해외여행 선택에 악영향을 미칠 것으로 보여진다. 연구결과 및 결론: 이 연구를 통하여 해외여행 직전 대기 중인 시민들을 대상으로 설문조사 한 자료로 분석한 결과, 자연재해 범죄 사고로 인한 두려움은 해외여행 선택에 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났으나, 테러에 대한 두려움은 유의미한 영향을 끼치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고, 이 요인 중 사고에 대한 두려움이 가장 크게 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 자연재해에 대한 두려움, 범죄에 대한 두려움 순으로 나타났다.

한국 남해에 출현하는 삼치(Scomberomorus niphonius)의 위내용물 조성 (Diet Composition of Spanish Mackerel Scomberomorus niphonius, in the South Sea of Korea)

  • The diet composition of Spanish mackerel Scomberomorus niphonius, was investigated using 853 specimens collected using two-boat trawl, stow net, gill net and set net from January to December 2019 from the South Sea of Korea. The size of the specimens ranged from 25.2 to 114.8 cm in fork length. S. niphonius fed mostly on fishes. Its diets also included small quantities of shrimps, cephalopods, crabs, stomatopods, etc. Among them, Engraulis japonicus was the dominant species. The dietary composition of S. niphonius exhibited significant differences based on their size. The proportion of Trichiurus japonicus increased as body size of S. niphonius increased, whereas the proportion of E. japonicus decreased gradually. As the body size of S. niphonius increased, the mean weight of prey per the stomach (mW/ST) tended to increase significantly (one-way ANOVA, P<0.05).

합성곱 오토인코더를 이용한 이상거동 선박 식별 (Detection of Abnormal Vessel Trajectories with Convolutional Autoencoder)

  • Recently there was an incident that military radars, coastal CCTVs and other surveillance equipment captured a small rubber boat smuggling a group of illegal immigrants into South Korea, but guards on duty failed to notice it until after they reached the shore and fled. After that, the detection of such vessels before it reach to the Korean shore has emerged as an important issue to be solved. In the fields of marine navigation, Automatic Identification System (AIS) is widely equipped in vessels, and the vessels incessantly transmits its position information. In this paper, we propose a method of automatically identifying abnormally behaving vessels with AIS using convolutional autoencoder (CAE). Vessel anomaly detection can be referred to as the process of detecting its trajectory that significantly deviated from the majority of the trajectories. In this method, the normal vessel trajectory is gridded as an image, and CAE are trained with images from historical normal vessel trajectories to reconstruct the input image. Features of normal trajectories are captured into weights in CAE. As a result, images of the trajectories of abnormal behaving vessels are poorly reconstructed and end up with large reconstruction errors. We show how correctly the model detects simulated abnormal trajectories shifted a few pixel from normal trajectories. Since the proposed model identifies abnormally behaving ships using actual AIS data, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of security level when it is applied to various maritime surveillance systems.

Simulink를 이용한 터그보트의 샤프트제너레이터 물리모델링 및 연료소모율 검증 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Physical Modeling of the Shaft Generator and the Fuel Consumption Verification Simulation of a Tugboat using Simulink)

  • 최근 해운산업에서는 환경규제에 대한 중요성이 높아지고 있으며, 이를 위한 산업의 요구가 급격히 높아지고 있다. 이에 샤프트제너레이터는 선박에 가장 빠르게 적용이 가능한 환경규제 대응기술로 선주의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 샤프트제너레이터는 메인추진엔진에 전동기를 설치하여, 부하환경에 따라 가변적으로 사용함으로 메인추진엔진의 연료소모율을 줄일 수 있는 장치이다. 저속에서는 모터의 힘으로 동작하고, 급격한 부하가 필요할 때에는 메인추진엔진과 모터가 함께 동작함으로 효율적인 운전이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 MATLAB Simulink를 이용하여 터그보트의 디젤엔진과 샤프트제너레이터를 모델링하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해서 연료소모율을 검증하였다.
