  • IEEE 802.15 WPAN(Wireless personal area network) technologies represented by Bluetooth are prevalent these days. However, they have short radio coverage and thus cannot be used to build a SNS for servicing users spread over a wide area. In this paper, we develop a mobile SNS(Social Network System) that does not necessitate any infrastructure support using the Bluetooth technology and the mobility based information dissemination technique. Using so-called mobility assisted data dissemination technique we overcome the short radio range restriction of WPAN technologies. We develop Blue Market, a free online marketplace program, as a proof of concept.

  • This paper presents the remote measurement of the ECU signals adopted with KWP 2000 protocol using the wireless communication technique of bluetooth. The bluetooth technology will be the most promising network paradigm which can open the new area in the information technology. Especially, bluetooth module is able to link all the electrical products and personal computers to cellular phone or PDA. This research has a try to design a wireless measurement model of ECU signal based on the car telemery system using bluetooth device. In order to measure the ECU signals, we designed the interface circuits which is able to communicate between the ECU system and the terminal circuits according to the ISO, SAE regulation of communication protocol standard. A microprocessor S3c341 OX is used for the system control and communication of ECU signals. The embedded system software is programmed to measure the ECU signals using the ARM compiler and ANCI C based on Micro/OS-II kernel to communicate between two bluetooth modules using bluetooth stack. The remote measurement of ECU signals using the bluetooth was designed and implemented to evaluate the performance of wireless network to the transmit measurement data. The possibility for the remote measurement of the self diagnosis signals of ECU adopted with KWP2000 protocol verified through the developed systems and algorithms in embedded system.

In Mobile 3D network game so far, there is a form the mainstream of wireless internet game using WAP and VM. But, VM game are popular because of an excessive communication expense problem for this mobile network game that occur when connect to wireless internet as point out to problem by it, that is, stand-alone game are very popular. This study introduce a mobile 3D Bluetooth Engine which is based on mobile 3D standard using OpenGL-ES to solve a mobile network game generally that occurs when connect to take pleasure a wireless internet from some people into a short distance.

When the number of concurrent packet datum by Bluetooth terminal transfers to each other, we shows that the proposed scheduling scheme for enhancing the process speed up on Bluetooth.

  • Recent advancement in RF technology and wireless communications has enabled the development of noble networks. Bluetooth that can be used in various application field is a kind of WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) standard that is widely known. Bluetooth enables voice and data applications to operate simultaneously. Various applications have been implemented based on standard Profiles. In this paper, we describes the development of Biuetooth network AP(Access Point) system for network connection of Bluetooth devices. Unlike headset, mouse, and keyboard, the access point should have capability to support multiple connection and stabilized network throughput. We have designed and developed the hardware system, core stack and profiles on embedded system to comply with standard specification. Our system showed compatibility and good protocol performance through testing with lots of products that is available in market.

  • This paper describes development of real-time condition monitoring system to observe state of a container crane in a port. To analyze the state of a crane, the strength and the direction of wind are measured with sensors along with the load resulted a crane at the moment. The measured signals are processed by especially developed conditioning board and converted into digital data. Measured data are analyzed to define the state of the crane at an indicator. For transmission of these data to the indicator, we implemented wireless sensor network based on IEEE 802.15.4 MAC(Media Access Control) protocol and Bluetooth network protocol. To extend the networking distance between the indicator and sensor nodes, the shortest path routing algorithm was applied for WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) networks. The indicator sends the state information of the crane to monitoring server through IEEE 802.11 b wireless LAN(Local Area Network). Monitoring server decides whether alarm should be issued or not. The performance of developed WSN and Bluetooth network were evaluated and analyzed in terms of communication delay and throughput.

  • Bluetooth technology is essentially a method for wireless connection of a diverse set of devices ranging from PDAs, mobile phone, notebook computers, to another equipments. The bluetooth system supports both point-to-point connection and point-to-multipoint connections. In point-to-multipoint connection, the channel is shared among several bluetooth devices. Two or more devices sharing the same channel form a piconet. There is one master device and up to seven active slave devices in a piconet. The radio operates in the unlicensed 2.45GHz ISM band. This allows users who travel world-wide to use bluetooth equipments anywhere. Since the link is based on frequency-hop spread spectrum, multiple channels can exist at the same time. The Bluetooth standard has been suggested that Bluetooth equipments can be used in the short-range, maximum 100 meters . It has been defined that the time takes to setup and establish a bluetooth connection among devices is 10 seconds. It is a long time and may be a cause to lose a chance of finding other non-fixed devices. We propose a routing protocols for scatternets which can be used to control a mobile units(MUs) in this network. The proposed routing protocol is composed of two kinds of bluetooth information, access point(AP) and MU.

  • Bluetooth uses baseband of 2.4G ISM and composes radio Ad Hoc network based on Ad Hoc wireless connectivity which it used low power and low complexity solution.   • Smartphones are fast growing in the IT market and are the most influential devices in our daily life. Smartphones are being studied for their use in body sensor networks with excellent processing power and wireless communication technology. In this paper, we propose a coordinator design that provides data collection, classification, and display using based on Android-smartphone in multiple sensor nodes. The coordinator collects data of sensor nodes that measure biological patterns using wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth and NFC. The coordinator constructs a network using a multiple-level scheduling algorithm for efficient data collection at multiple sensor nodes. Also, to support different protocols between heterogeneous sensors, a data sheet recording wireless communication protocol information is used. The designed coordinator used Arduino to test the performance of multiple sensor node environments.

  • This paper analyzes performance measures of a Bluetooth_based mobile home network system. The home network system consists of terminals with Bluetooth interfaces, access points (AP), a home PC, and a gateway A mobile host in wireless terminals uses Mobile IP for supporting the mobility This paper considers four types of data traffic, which are new connection traffic, handoff traffic, Internet data traffic, and control data traffic and suggests a queueing system model of the home network system, where the AP and the home PC are modeled as M/G/1 with four priority queues and the gateway is modeled as M/G/1 with a single queue The generation rate and service time of individual traffic influence their performance measures. Based ell the suggested model, we propose the elapsed time of data traffic in terms of the number of cells, the number of Home PCs, arrival rates of four types of traffic and the service rates of AP/Home PCs/Gateway To analyze influences on the elapsed time with respect to arrival rate of four types of traffic, some examples are given.
