  • This paper investigates the influences of water content and viscosity agent on the bleeding of concrete. According to test results, fluidity shows decline tendency as water content decreases, and dosage of viscosity agent increases. PEO viscosity agent does not affect the air contents while, MC viscosity agent causes air loss. As for bleeding, bleeding decreases with decrease of water content. As dosage of viscosity agent increase, bleeding decreases, regardless of viscosity kinds. It is thought that viscosity agents have the favorable effect of reducing bleeding, if fluidity and air loss are improved.

  • This study is intended to investigate the fundamental properties of concrete which AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding is used, and the properties of bleeding reduction. According to the results, when the adding ratio of AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding increases, a range of normal fluidity and aimed air content arc satisfied, setting time is faster than that of normal AE water reducing agent. And bleeding amount decreases, bleeding speed is highest between 60 and 90 min, and sinking depth increases drastically in 60 min. When, AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding is added, compressive strength shows a slight variation by air content, but there is not a large influence by addition of AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding. Synthetically, it proves that AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding satisfies aimed air content in the range of normal slump and can reduce only bleeding without quality variation of compressive strength.

  • This study is intended to investigate the properties of bleeding reduction of concrete using AE water reducing agent for the type of bleeding reduction with the replacement admixture. According to the results, when the adding ratio of AE water reducing agent for the type of bleeding reduction increases, a range of normal fluidity and aimed air content are satisfied, setting time is faster than that of normal AE water reducing agent. And bleeding amount decreases, bleeding speed is highest between 60 and 90 min, and sinking depth increases drastically in 50 min. When AE oater reducing agent for the type of bleeding reduction is added, compressive strength shows a slight variation by air content, but there is not a large influence by addition of AE water reducing agent for the type of bleeding reduction. • This study is to investigate the probability to develop the AE Water-reducing agent which can decrease the bleeding by mixing melamine type super-plasticizer(SP) and methyl cellulose(MC) viscosity agent. According to the result, as the mixing ratio of melamine type SP and MC viscosity agent increases, the bleeding is reduced due to a increase of the air content. When the mixing ratio of melamine type SP and MC viscosity agent is 1:2 and 1;3 at the water content of 165kg/$m^3$ and 175kg/$m^3$ respectively, slump and air content are satisfied and bleeding is reduced to some extent, so this is determined as the mixing ratio of AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding. It is prove that the developed AE water reducing agent for reduction of bleeding can reduce the amount of bleeding and prohibit the plastic shrinkage crack by slowing down the bleeding speed. Compressive strength of hardened concrete does not make any difference in comparison with plain concrete.

  • This paper describes the properties analysis of concrete using bleeding reduction agent. According to the results, the fluidity and the air content of fresh concrete with increase of bleeding reduction agent show little difference in compare with plain concrete which does not use bleeding reduction agent. The efficiency of bleeding reduction agent is confirmed because in variation of W/C and slump, the increase of bleeding reduction agent dosage reduces bleeding remarkably. And the compressive strength of hardened concrete does not show any differences with increase the dosage of bleeding reduction agent. Bleeding reduction agent does not have bad effect on the quality of concrete such as fluidity, air content and the strength of hardened concrete and so on, the dosage of it can reduce bleeding effectively.

  • This paper investigates the influence of fine aggregates on bleeding of concrete. According to test results, as water content decreases, crushed sand content increases, fluidity shows decline tendency. As for aggregates kinds, concrete using sea sand shows most fluidity loss among the tested results. Compressive strength gains highly when crushed sand is used. As for bleeding of concrete, bleeding shows decline tendency because of increasing in powder content and filling effect of voids. Bleeding amount is in a decreasing order of magnitude for concretes made with the following aggregates: sea sand, river sand, and crushed sand. Accordingly, crushed sand mixed with river sand and sea sand with certain proportion enable to reduce bleeding and enhance strength.

  • Recently, the coal-ash production has been increased by increase of consumption of electric power. So it is important to secure a reclaimed land from pollution and develop practical application of coal ash. This is an experimental study to compare and analyze the properties of concrete using high volume of coal ash (including fly ash and bottom ash) as a part of fine aggregate. For this purpose, the mix proportions of concrete according to replacement ratio of coal ash (10, 20, 35, 50%) were selected. And then air content, slump, setting time, bleeding content, chloride content, compressive strength and carbonation test were performed. According to test results, it was found that the bleeding content of concrete using the coal ash decreased according to increase of replacement ratio. And the chloride content of concrete using the bottom ash as a part of fine aggregate increased as the replacement ratio of bottom ash increased, but it is satisfied with the total chloride content of concrete recommended by KCI - $0.3kg/m^3$ below. Also, the compressive strength of concrete using the bottom ash was similar to that of plain concrete(BA 0) after 28days of curing and the carbonation depth of concrete increased as the replacement ratio increased. However, the carbonation depth of concrete using the fly ash decreased as the replacement ratio of fly ash increased.

  • The study investigates the effects of the content and using method of chemical admixtures such as superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture on the fluidity, bleeding ratio, volumetric change and compressive strength of the grout in order to provide basic data for the development of high-quality grout for prestressed concrete. It appeared that the combination of superplasticizer and viscosity modifying admixture decreased the fluidity of grout with small content of superplasticizer. On the contrary, Grout used more than 0.1% of superplasticizer appeared to have significant effect on the improvement of the fluidity. On the other hand, bleeding of grout reduced according to increasing the content of viscosity modifying admixture. Superplasticizer with less than 0.05% had practically no effect on the reduction of bleeding, whereas superplasticizer with more than 0.1% appear to have significant effect on the reduction of bleeding. Also the combination of superplasticizer with 0.15% and viscosity modifying admixture with 0.15% resulted in satisfactory fluidity accompanied with fair reduction of bleeding and shrinkage of the grout.

  • This study is focused on the influence of mixture and construction factor on bleeding amount of concrete According to the results, Amount of bleeding with mixture factor increases with increase of water contents and W/C. Amount of bleeding with construction factors is larger in the case of placing height of 1m than in the case of placing height of 0 and 0.5m. Amount of bleeding is larger at the temperature of 20℃ than at the temperature of 35℃ and 5℃, and increases in order of vibration compacting, standard lamping and non tamping. Therefore, to reduce bleeding, it is thought that it is profitable to reduce water content within the range that fluidity and workability don't go bad, to lower the placing height and not to do compacting too much.
