농업용 전기차량의 전기식 동력인출장치용 전력변환시스템 (Power Conversion System for Electric Power Take-off of Agricultural Electric Vehicle)

  • 본 논문은 농업용 전기차량의 전기식 동력인출장치용 전력변환시스템에 대해 제안한다. 대부분의 전기식 동력인출장치(Electric Power Take-Off : e-PTO)는 상용전원 $220V_{AC}$를 사용한다. 농업용 전기차량의 낮은 배터리 전압을 사용하여 높은 출력 전압을 공급하기 위한 DC-DC 컨버터와 DC-AC 인버터로 구성된 2단 구조를 갖는 양방향 전력변환시스템이 적합하다. 제안하는 전력변환시스템은 1단의 Dual Active Bridge(DAB)컨버터와 2단의 양방향 풀 브릿지 인버터로 구성된다. 또한, 초기 구동시 DC 버스단 커패시터 충전에 의해 발생되는 돌입 전류 저감을 위해 소프트 스타트 알고리즘을 제안한다. 3kW급 전력변환시스템 시제품 및 알고리즘을 구현하고 실험을 통해서 실용성을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, a bidirectional power supply charger is proposed. This system used a solar cell panel to generate electricity and used super capacitors to store these energies, which can be used for the robot cleaner or some other electronic products. This system include a phase-shift controlled bidirectional dual active bridge (DAB) converter, solar panel super capacitors and DSP controller. In the daytime it can charge to the super capacitors to store the energy generated by the solar cell panel and in the night it will release the energy stored in the super capacitors to loads. A prototype of the proposed bidirectional power supply charger system was designed which can achieve 18V to 30V input, 10V/20W output to super capacitors and 9V/6.5W output when it acts as a charger for the robot cleaner. The system is verified to be sTable and reliable by both the simulation and experimental results.

Single Pulse-Width-Modulation Strategy for Dual-Active Bridge Converters

  • This paper describes a single pulse-width modulation control strategy using the Single Pulse-Width Modulation (SPWM) method with a soft-switching technique for a wide range of output voltages from a bidirectional Dual-Active Bridge (DAB) converter. This method selects two typical inductor current waveforms for soft-switching, and proposes a rule that makes it possible to achieve soft-switching without any compensation algorithm from the waveforms. In addition, both the step-up and step-down conditions are analyzed. This paper verifies that the leakage inductance is independent from the rule, which makes it easier to apply in DAB converters. An integrated algorithm, which includes step-up and step-down techniques, is proposed. The results of experiments conducted on a 50-kW prototype are presented. The system efficiency is experimentally verified to be from 85.6% to 97.5% over the entire range.

  • 본 논문은 군용 UPS 시스템에서 Dual Active Bridge(DAB) 컨버터를 이용한 절연형 양방향 배터리 충전기를 제안한다. 일반적인 군용 UPS 시스템은 AC-DC 정류기, DC-AC 인버터, 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터, 배터리 충전기, 배터리로 구성되며, 여러 부하상태들에 대한 지속적인 전력공급을 위하여 안정적인 에너지 저장 시스템이 요구된다. 다양한 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터들 중, DAB 컨버터는 buck, boost 동작이 가능한 고효율 절연형 양방향 컨버터이다. 본 논문에서는 6kW(입력 380Vdc, 출력 32/21Vdc) DAB 컨버터에 대한 토폴로지 분석하고, 파라미터 및 제어 알고리즘 설계를 제안하고 시제품을 통해 이를 검증하였다.

  • This study proposes a new pulse-width modulation switching pattern for the low conduction loss of a three-level neutral point clamped (NPC)-based dual-active bridge (DAB) converter. The operational principle for a bidirectional power conversion is a phase-shift modulation. The conventional switching method of the three-level NPC-based DAB converter shows a symmetric switching pattern. This method has a disadvantage of high root-mean-square (RMS) value of the coupling inductor current, which leads to high conduction loss. The proposed switching method shows an asymmetrical pattern, which can reduce the RMS value of the inductor current with lower conduction loss than that of the conventional method. The performance of the proposed asymmetrical switching method is theoretically analyzed and practically verified using simulation and experiment.

  • This paper proposes a grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) system, consisting of Voltage-fed dual-active-bridge (DAB) dc-dc converter with single phase inverter. The proposed converter allows a small dc-link capacitor, so that system reliability can be improved by replacing electrolytic capacitors with film capacitors. The double line frequency free maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is also realized in the proposed converter by using Ripple Correlation method. First of all, to eliminate the double line frequency ripple which influence the reduction of DC source capacitance, control is developed. Then, a designing of Current control in DQ frame is analyzed and to fulfill the international harmonics standards such as IEEE 519 and P1547, $3^{rd}$ harmonic in the grid is directly compensated by the feedforward terms generated by the PR controller with the grid current in stationary frame to achieve desire Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). 5-kW PV converter and inverter module with a small dc-link film capacitor was built in the laboratory with the proposed control and MPPT algorithm. Experimental results are given to validate the converter performance.

  • 1차와 2차측의 위상 변조를 이용하는 Dual Active Bridge (DAB) 형태의 직렬 공진형 양방향 컨버터는 이미 구현되었다. 하지만 이는 좁은 영전압 스위칭 범위를 가지고 경부하시 전력변환 효율을 떨어뜨린다. 본 논문은 Sinple Phase Shift (SPS)와 Extended Phase Shift (EPS)를 사용하는 양방향 직렬 공진형 컨버터를 제안하고 이를 이용하여 전부하 구간동안 소프트 스위칭을 얻고자 한다. 정방향 및 역방향 전력 변환에 따른 영전압 스위칭의 조건을 분석하고 공진 탱크와 제어 자유도를 조절 방법에 대해 분석하고자 한다. 제안하는 분석 및 디자인 방법은 500 W 직렬 공진형 컨버터를 통해 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차 긴급구난용 이동식 충전시스템에 절연형 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터인 DAB(Dual Active Bridge) 컨버터를 적용하여 시스템 안정성 향상과 함께 출력주파수를 높임으로서 수동소자의 용량을 줄일 수 있고 고효율성을 확보할 수 있으며, 이에 대한 유효성을 시뮬레이션 해석을 통해 검증한다.

Reactive Power and Soft-Switching Capability Analysis of Dual-Active-Bridge DC-DC Converters with Dual-Phase-Shift Control

  • This paper focuses on a systematical and in-depth analysis of the reactive power and soft-switching regions of Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converters with dual-phase-shift (DPS) control to achieve high efficiency in a wide operating range. The key features of the DPS operating modes are characterized and verified by analytical calculation and experimental tests. The mathematical expressions of the reactive power are derived and the reductions of the reactive power are illustrated with respect to a wide range of output power and voltage conversion ratios. The ZVS soft-switching boundary of the DPS is presented and one more leg with ZVS capability is achieved compared with the CPS control. With the selection of the optimal operating mode, the optimal phase-shift pair is determined by performance indices, which include the minimum peak or rms inductor current. All of the theoretical analysis and optimizations are verified by experimental tests. The experimental results with the DPS demonstrate the efficiency improvement for different load conditions and voltage conversion ratios.
