《황앵아(黃鶯兒)》에 관한 서지적 분석

  • Huangying-er黃鶯兒 is regarded as one of Feng Menglong's folk song books such as Guazhi-er掛枝兒, Shange山歌, and Jiazhutao夾竹桃. However, preceding researches criticized Huangying-er as 'a fly in the ointment' for laughing at pitiable female entertainers and harming the spirit of edification. In response, there has not been a detailed research on basic items such as editions, compiler, and written time. Thus, this study tried to shed new light on bibliographic information of Huangying-er. To discuss the bibliographic information of Huangying-er, this study organized and supplemented the 8 editions featuring Huangying-er in Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty periods. Most of these editions have signature of 'Fubaizhuren浮白主人' or 'Fubaizhaizhuren浮白齋主人'. After organizing the existing theories, this study came to support the theory claiming that the complier is Feng Menglong himself. Also, in reference to the works related to Huangying-er, this study concluded that Huangying-er was complied before compilation of Guazhi-er and Shange, the middle of the Wanli萬曆 reign period.

A Study on the Photograph Management at the University Archives - The Case of the Pusan National University Library - (대학 아카이브즈의 사진자료 관리에 관한 연구 - 부산대학교 도서관의 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • In comparison with conventional types of documents, photographs present special problems in the management of any archives because of their physical properties and the nature and format of their informational content This paper is case study for the effective photographs management at the university archives. At first, sort out photographic images in the university publications, draw up work sheet by the bibliographic information of the photographic images and construct a bibliographic database based on the work sheet. Secondly, the photographic images is linked with bibliographic database. In result, users can confirm immediately photographic images on the screen by searching OPAC. This paper concludes with a problem and improvement of the photograph database at the university archives.

Frequency Analysis of Scientific Texts on the Hypoxia Using Bibliographic Data (논문 서지정보를 이용한 빈산소수괴 연구 분야의 연구용어 빈도분석)

  • The frequency analysis of scientific terms using bibliographic information is a simple concept, but as relevant data become more widespread, manual analysis of all data is practically impossible or only possible to a very limited extent. In addition, as the scale of oceanographic research has expanded to become much more comprehensive and widespread, the allocation of research resources on various topics has become an important issue. In this study, the frequency analysis of scientific terms was performed using text mining. The data used in the analysis is a general-purpose scholarship database, totaling 2,878 articles. Hypoxia, which is an important issue in the marine environment, was selected as a research field and the frequencies of related words were analyzed. The most frequently used words were 'Organic matter', 'Bottom water', and 'Dead zone' and specific areas showed high frequency. The results of this research can be used as a basis for the allocation of research resources to the frequency of use of related terms in specific fields when planning a large research project represented by single word.

Cataloging Trends after LRM and its Acceptance in KORMARC Bibliographic Format (LRM 이후 목록 동향과 KORMARC 통합서지용에서의 수용 방안)

  • This study was to develop KORMARC-bibliographic format reflecting cataloging trends after LRM using literature review, analysis of MARC 21 discussion papers, and comparison of the fields in MARC 21 and KORMARC. The acceptance and consideration of fields and sub-fields that need to be revised in KORMARC are as follows. First, in terms of LRM / RDA, fields 381 or 387 for the representative expression, field 881 and the change and addition of its sub-fields for the manifestation statement, and data provenance code to ▾7 sub-field for date provenance may be considered. Second, in terms of Linked Data, ▾1 sub-field for RWO, and field 758 for related work identifier can be added. Third, for the data exchange of KORMARC and BIBFRAME, it should be developed in consideration of mapping with BIBFRAME classes and attributes in KORMARC. Fourth, additional fields such as 251 version information, 334 mode of issuance, 335 expansion plan, 341 accessibility content, 348 format of notated music, 353 supplementary content characteristics, 532 accessibility note, 370 associated place, 385 audience characteristics, 386 creator/contributor characteristics, 388 time period of creation, 688 subject added entry-type of entity unspecified, 884 description conversion information, 885 matching information could be developed. This study will be used to revise KORMARC-bibliographic format and to build and utilize bibliographic data in domestic libraries.

Comparative analysis on the distinctive functions and usability of bibliographic data analysis softwares (서지데이터 분석 툴에 대한 특성 및 편의성 비교분석)

  • Recently KISTI has developed the KnowlegeMatrix which is a stand-alone type bibliographic data analysis software. In this paper, we try to benchmark test on the performance level of KnowledgeMatrix with well-known S/Ws such as VantagePoint and BibTechMon. We compare distinctive functions and usability of each S/Ws on comparative categories including Data, Matrix, Analysis, Visualization and Preprocessing. Test results show that all S/Ws have differentiated specific feature, but there is some performance gaps. KnowledgeMatrix overally shows better performance than others.

  • This study is to suggest the bibliographic description of RDA & KCR4 cataloging rules for FRBRizing the aggregates based on aggregates modeling. It is to suggest bibliographic description of RDA & KCR4 cataloging rules of aggregates through analyzing FRBR and LRM aggregates modeling and comparing RDA and KCR4 cataloging rules about aggregates. First, it is to describe the bibliographic records based on object oriented model, and to describe both aggregates works and separate works appropriately. Second, in case of aggregates by one person, family, or corporate body, collective title as aggregates work and separate works in aggregates must be regulated in RDA. In KCR4, collective titles rules should be regulated for aggregate works and separate works should be described. Third, aggregates of works by different persons, families, or corporate bodies should be accessible by aggregates work and separate works, and aggregates of works by different persons, families, or corporate bodies without collective title should be accessible by each of the works in both RDA and KCR4. Fourth, augmentation aggregates could be accessible by main work's expression, the expression of aggregates work, and separate expressions of the augmentation. This study will contribute to FRBRize the aggregates by suggesting bibliographic description of RDA & KCR4 cataloging rules.

A Study on the Bibliographic Characteristics of Most-cited Articles - Focusing on the Domestic Social Science Field - (피인용 최상위 학술논문의 서지적 특성에 관한 연구 - 국내 사회과학 분야를 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify bibliographic characteristics of the top level articles among KCI indexed academic articles. Unlike the existing analysis on citation and most-cited articles, this study analyzed their bibliographic characteristics. The 3,453 articles were collected from 17 social science fields in KCI. The characteristics of authors, institutions, publications, journals, and citations were analyzed. According to the result of the analysis, there was a difference in the ratio of single authors to co-authors and in the number of co-authors. The authors were mostly single authors or two co-authors. In general, the percentage of authors of one article was high. Second, the types of institutions were mostly universities, and there were differences in the number of institutions with authors in each field. And the frequency of the authors' affiliation appeared uneven. There were a number of excellent research institutes and authors depending on the field. Third, the average of years to take to become the top articles for publication was 11 years in 2018. Fourth, most of the published journals were KCI registered journals, and the influence of the journals was not a factor. Fifth, there were differences in the number of cited counts between fields. This study is meaningful to grasp the influencing factors on the bibliographic characteristics of the most-cited articles for the social science field.

Current Practices of the Customized Bibliographic Instructions in Academic Libraries (대학도서관 맞춤형 이용자교육의 운영 현황 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current practices of the customized bibliographic instructions (CBI) at four-year academic libraries in Korea. Among the entire 206 academic libraries, a total of 149 libraries participated in the survey. Study result shows that the libraries providing CBI was 63.1%. The findings of the study revealed the overall picture of the CBI operated in Korean academic libraries. The findings of the study suggested useful strategies to apply in adopting and operating the CBI in academic libraries in Korea.

Domain Analysis on Electrical Engineering in Korea by Author Bibliographic Coupling Analysis (저자서지결합분석에 의한 국내 전기공학 분야 지적구조에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the domain on the field of Electrical Engineering in Korea by the author bibliographic coupling analysis. The data set contains a total of 2,157 articles from two core journals with 23,411 citation data from 2005 to 2009 published in two prestigious journals. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, MDS analysis, clustering analysis and network analysis were used to examine core subject areas. In addition, the centrality analysis in the weighted networks was used to explore the key authors in this field such as the top global centrality authors and the top local centrality authors. The findings of this study can be utilized to guide the current research trend and author network for collection development and information services in the field of Electrical Engineering.

A Study on Converting bibliographic data of public libraries expressed in KORMARC into BIBFARME

  • BIBFRAME, which is attracting attention as an alternative to the machine-readable catalog format (MARC) in the library world, presents a new bibliographic data model in the open web environment while maintaining compatibility with existing data. To convert KORMARC(Korean data model of MARC) records into BIBFRAME, we extract 25 key fields by analyzing the latest 5,000 bibliographic data from Nowon-gu Library in Seoul. The extracted core fields are classified into three types according to the compatibility of MARC 21, and define conversion rules for each type. In addition, implement an open source-based converter to perform KORMARC to BIBFRAME conversion. As a basic study on KORMARC to BIBFRAME conversion, this study is meaningful in that it analyzes the latest KORMARC information actually used, defines conversion rules, and attempts BIBFRAME conversion.
