This study focus on the history of Scottish kilt and the application of kilt designed by Vivienne Westwood 1993 F/W. Up to late the 16 Century saffron shirt was worn among Highland men and belted plaid become common dress after the 17 Century. The early the 18 Century belted plaid have developed as a kilt separated to a upper and a lower skirt style. However Government banned wearing tartan and kilt after Culloden battle (1745) as highland Dress(tartan, kilt, belted plaid etc) was the symbol of rebellion. This legislation by Hanoverian authority continued for 35 years. Although most of tartan was disappeared during those period it has become popular among European upper class after george IV's visiting Scotlan in 1822. Highland Dress become Scottish national dress after Industrial revolution. Currently Vivienne Westwood's 93 F/W using tartan and kilt and its accessaries those items were successfully transformed modern ladies dress.

Belted Bias 타이어의 타이어 품질등급제 (UTQGS: Uniform Tire Quality Grading Standard)가 79년 10월1일 발효되었다. 다음 일람표는 미국운수성(DOT) 국유 High Way 교통안전국(NHTSA)에 79년 10월 3일까지 등록된 각 타이어 메이커 및 자가 Brand 품(Private Brand)업자로부터 제출된 등급표시이다. Bias타이어의 등급표시는 지난 호(5~6월)에 게재한 바 있으며, 앞으로 Radial 타이어의 UTQGS에 의한 등급표시도 곧 입수되는대로 게재할 예정이오니 참고하여 주시기 바랍니다. 그리고 Grades 표시내용에 대해서는 지난 호에 주석해 놓았으므로 참조바랍니다.<편집자주>

Bias Ply 타이어의 타이어 품질등급제 (UTQGS: Uniform Tire Quality Grading Standard)가 작년 4월 1일부로 발효되었다. 한편 Belted Bias 타이어의 UTQGS도 79년 10월1일 부터 발효되었으며, Radial타이어의 UTQGS는 80년 4월에 발효되었다.

Sterling W. Alderfer씨는 세계고무타이어업계에서 널리 알려져 있는 저명인사로서 200건이상의 발명특허를 소유하고 있음은 물론, 기중에서도 1927년에 발명한 Steel Wire Bead 가공법은 현금에 있어서도 전세계의 타이어 제조업계에서 이용되고 있는 것입니다. 또한 미국 The Steelaastic Company에서는 Steelastic System을 발전확대하여 Steel Carcass자체의 생산기계까지도 연구개발중에 있으며 불원간 완성 공급 단계에 이를 것입니다.

The US-NCAP was rated by the head and chest injury, but the new US-NCAP requires various dummy injury parts such as head, neck, chest, and femur. So, new restraint systems are needed. Particularly, the knee bolster must meet both unbelted and belted test condition requirements. This paper analyzed the dummy response of both test condition and suggested a knee bolster F-D requirement as well as a new knee bolster structure.
