공작 기계 벨트 구동계의 동적 해석 (Dynamic analysis on belt-drive system of machine tools)

  • The needs of ultraprecision machine tools, which manufacture and machine the high precision parts used in computers, semiconductors and othe rprecise machines, have been increased recentrly. So it is important to design the driving parts of the ultraprecision machine tools which affect significantly on the performance of them. In this paper, the dynamic analyses on the belt-drive system were studied. The correlational equations between the acoustic natural frequency and the tension of belt were derived by experiments. The dynamic delections while the dynamic loads on the motor system changed were analyzed by the finite element analysis. The nonlinear characteristics of the bearings on the dynamic performance was studied and the belt connecting the motor to the spindle of a machine tool was modeled by the truss element and the beam element.

  • The nonlinear vibration of moving viscoelastic belts excited by the eccentricity of pulleys is investigated through experimental and analytical methods. Laboratory measurements demonstrate the nonlinearities in the responses of the belt, particularly in the resonance region and with the variation of tension. The measurements of the belt motion were made using a noncontact laser sensor Jump and hysteresis phenomenon are observed experimentally and are studied with a model which considers the nonlinear relation of belt stretch. An ordinary differential equation is derived as a working form of the belt equation of motion. Numerical results show good agreements with the experimental observations, which demonstrates the nonlinearity of viscoelastic moving belts

  • The media transport in automatic office machines such as printers, ATMs, copying machines is achieved by a complicated belt system. The system generally uses a crowning roller and belt which has been well-known for its intrinsic belt centering advantage during its operation. Since the modern office machines require precise high operating speed, stabilization of media transporting system has been one of the important issues of the machine design. Even a minor defect of the belt or the roller in the transport system directly affects its operating stability. This paper delivers a simulation technique that combines a multi-body dynamics analysis routine and a FEM based flexible continuum modeling for the efficient simulation of the flexible media transport problems.

벨트 구동계의 비선형 진동특성 해석 제목 (Analysis on the Nonlinear Vibration Characteristics of a Belt Driven System)

  • In this paper, a mathematical model for a belt driven system is proposed to analyse the vibration characteristics of the driving units with belts and the free and forced vibraiton anlyses are carried out. The mathematical model for a belt-driven system includes belts, pulleys, spindle and bearings. By using Hamilton's principle, four nonlinear governing equations and twelve nonlinear boundary conditions are derived. To linearize and discretize the nonlinear governing equations and boundary conditions, the perturbation method and Galerkin method are used. Also, the free vibration analyses for various parameters of a belt driven system, which are the tension of a belt, the length of a belt, the material properties of belts, the velocity of a velt and the mass of pulley are made. The forced vibration analyses of the system are performed and the dynamic responses for main parameters are anlysed with a belt driven system.

  • According to the considerable increase of the length of belt conveyors, the dynamic analysis of systme becomes necessary to consider the variation of tensions and transient motion of components during starting and stopping of conveyor. The mathematical model of system is derived using the lumped parameter method. The input driving force is represented with two functions of time and pulley speed to count the characteristics of motor and fluid coupling. An example system was studied with 14 km in the distance of carrying. At head, it has two drivers and one gravity take-up and at tail ond driver and one power winch take-up. In the example, the transient tensions and responses, calculated using two cases of driving force, are mutually compared in starting mode. Also, the position of maximum tension and the braking force of take-up are obtained in stopping mode.

  • Power transmission characteristics and speed ratio-torque load-axial force relationship for a metal V-belt CVT were investigated theoretically and experimentally. In the metal V-belt CVT drive, it was found that the power was transmitted by thrust force and that band tension should be greater than compression force between the metal blocks. The experimental results for the speed ratio-torque load-axial force relationship showed good agreement with those predicted using equations developed from theoretical considerations.

  • Stick-slip of belt-pulley system produces vibration which results in the noise problem. Experimental study was carried out to investigate the phenomenon of stick-slip with simple v-belt system. The optical displacement sensor detected the vibration caused by the stick-slip of which the frequency was significantly dependant on tension of the belt. The rotation speed of putties also affected the frequency and magnitude of the stick-slip vibration. Existence of misalignment between the driven and drive pulleys made some difference in the stick-slip frequency, but not much. Further study is necessary to identify the generation of noise from the stick-slip vibration.

  • 최근 다양화된 합섬소재의 등장으로 인해 원사가 다양화되고 그에 따른 가공기술 등의 공정이 복잡해짐에 따라 이들 소재의 기본이 되는 원사의 물성은 여러 공정들을 거치게 되면서 그 역학적 물성들이 변화하게 된다. 원사이후의 공정 특히 사가공 공정에서의 공정에 따른 絲의 물성을 파악하는 것은 직물의 물성 예측에 중요하다. 원사를 가공하는 공정 중 Belt type의 가연기구는 絲손상이 크고 가연 torque가 크며 특히 belt spped의 변화에 의해 적당한 장력이 선정되기 때문에 Pin type과 frictin disk type에서 설정 불가능한 낮은 T$_2$(Untwisting Tension) 장력범위의 가공도 가능하여 부가가치가 높은 絲의 가공이 가능하다.   • In the motorized retractor of the smart seat belt system, anti-overload clutch is a very important element to prevent the excessive belt tensional force. Anti-overload clutch is the essential device to protect drivers from chest damage by the excessive belt tension. It generates slipping motion under excessive webbing moment and the belt tensional force is limited below critical value. In this study, slipping mechanism in the antioverload clutch is investigated by analysis and experiment. On the prototype model, finite element analysis is performed to identify the slipping condition and to determine the critical load. Analysis result is compared with the experimental result and the validity of the analysis model is verified. The purpose of the study is to provide the analytical background for the systematic design of the anti-overload clutch mechanism.
