Purpose - This study is to identify the relationship between the gap of in-role behaviour (IRB) on employee's interpersonal behaviour with the different perspective considering this behaviour as a social action that employees show in their work life, away from the perspective of conventional research that treats IRB as task performance. Design/methodology/approach - This study focus on the level of IRB gap that individuals have with their colleagues and its effect on the interpersonal behaviours such as helping and incivility instigation. The higher the level of difference, the more likely it would negatively affect their interpersonal behaviour through stress. The analysis was conducted on 250 employees of Korean companies through partial least squares structural equation modelling. Findings - The analysis shows that IRB gaps have a negative effect on employee's fully helping, and partly instigated incivility, in mediating stress. Implications based on the results of the study were presented in the conclusion. Research implications or Originality - The approaches and findings thus study showed are unique because most of existing studies have not tried to focus on the gap of in-role behaviour between employees and their colleagues. This study can give novels inspirations to other researchers in the related field.
Composite nature of the masonry structures in general causes complex and non-linear behaviour, especially in intense vibration conditions. The presence of different types and forms of structural elements and different materials is a major problem for the analysis of these type of structures. For this reason, the analysis of the behaviour of masonry structures requires a combination of experimental tests and non-linear mathematical modelling. The famous UNESCO Heritage Old Bridge in Mostar was selected as an example for the analysis of the global behaviour of reinforced stone arch masonry bridges. As part of the experimental research, a model of the Old Bridge was constructed in a scale of 1:9 and tested on a shaking table platform for different levels of seismic excitation. Non-linear mathematical modelling was performed using a combined finite-discrete element method (FDEM), including the effect of connection elements. The paper presents the horizontal displacement of the top of the arch and the failure mechanism of the Old Bridge model for the experimental and the numerical phase, as well as the comparison of the results. This research provided a clearer insight into the global behaviour of stone arch masonry structures reinforced with steel clamps and steel dowels, which is significant for the structures classified as world cultural heritage.

The primary purpose of using bracings is to improve tile lateral rigidity of main structural system, i.e., columns and beams, by reinforcing them with much smaller members. Conventional design methods consider bracings as tension-only mambers, since difficulties arise in the analysis to consider the P - effects and post-buckling behaviour of the bracing members. This is particulary true for X-bracings. Recently, however, both analytical and experimental studies have been conducted to investigate the more precise and real behaviour of bracing members, especially for the nonlinear un plastic behaviour under cyclic loads. In this study, an analytical model is proposed to investigate the nonlinear behavior of steel bracing members subjected to cyclic loads. Results of tile analysis were compared with previous experimental results, and good agreements were obtained between these results.
The purpose of this study was to find out if body image and conspicuous consumption tendency influenced luxury brand buying behaviour. A survey questionnaire was used to collect information from 430 females in their 20's. Collected data were subjected to descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and path analysis. Results showed that body image and conspicuous consumption tendency consisted of five factors. In terms of body image, attitude towards changing appearance, attitude towards changing body figure/weight, and interest in health/appearance had a positive effect on conspicuous consumption tendency, which ultimately influenced luxury brand buying behaviour. In contrast, body cathexis and physical self-concept had a negative effect on conspicuous consumption tendency, which also directly influenced luxury brand buying behaviour.
This paper presents the results of deformation measurement and numerical analysis carried out to study the behaviour of the rock mass around large underground oil storage caverns. Displacements during excavation have been monitored using borehole extensometers which had been installed before the excavation of caverns proceeded. Numerical analysis has been carried out to examine the three-dimensional behaviour of rock and the face advance effect. The input parameters for this analysis were determined from the results of laboratory and field tests. The deformation modulus of the rock mass was determined from plate loading test at the site and in-situ stresses were measured from the overcoring method with USBM deformation gauge. The results from this study gave a clear picture for three-dimensional behaviour of the rock mass, hence would be used for the optimum design.
Numerical simulations are prevalently used to evaluate the seismic behaviour of structures. The accuracy of the simulation results depends directly on the accuracy of the modelling techniques employed to simulate the behaviour of individual structural members. An empirical modelling technique is employed in this paper to simulate the behaviour of column members under cyclic and seismic loading. Despite the common modelling techniques, this technique is capable of simulating two important aspects of the cyclic and seismic behaviour of columns simultaneously. The proposed fiber-based modelling technique captures explicitly the interaction between the bending moment and the axial force in columns, and the cyclic deterioration of the hysteretic behaviour of these members is implicitly taken into account. The fiber-based model is calibrated based on the cyclic behaviour of square hollow steel sections. The behaviour of several column archetypes is investigated under a dual cyclic loading protocol to develop a benchmark database before the calibration procedure. The dual loading protocol used in this study consists of both axial and lateral loading cycles with varying amplitudes. After the calibration procedure, a regression analysis is conducted to derive an equation for predicting a varying calibrated modelling parameter. Finally, several nonlinear time-history analyses are conducted on a 6-story steel special moment frame in order to investigate how the results of numerical simulations can be affected by employing the intended modelling technique for columns instead of other common modelling techniques.

In this paper, an application of finite element procedure fur tunnel failure analysis has been studied. The numerical model is applied to the simulation of a series of plane strain laboratory tests on the small scale model of a shallow tunnel. By comparing experimental and numerical results some conclusions are drawn on the effectiveness of the numerical approach. The findings from these numerical experiments show relative differences in the pattern of failure behaviour for shallow tunnels.

The aim of this paper was to identify high school girls'satisfaction toward Korean traditional style school uniform and their clothing behaviour. The questionnaires were administered to 133 high school girl students in Pusan. To find out attitudes of Korean traditional style school uniform and their clothing behaviour, PC model, mineigen and Varimax Rotation of factor analysis were adopted. The results have shown that each four factors are identified in Korean traditional style school uniform's satisfaction and their clothing behaviour. Multiple Regression analysis has been used to investigate the relationship between these factors of attitudes and satisfaction toward Korean traditional style oriented school uniform. As a result, the relationship between factors of their school uniform behaviour and satisfaction of their school uniform has revealed. They tend to wear their school uniform in various occasions if their satisfaction becomes greater. Besides, the more students have recognized the uniform as symbol of status the more they become satisfied with their school uniform. The relationship between factors of clothing attitudes and satisfaction of school uniform has shown that its uniform doesn't promote students conformity since they might be aware of different style and design of their school uniform compared to other school uniforms.

This paper presents the details of an advanced Finite Element (FE) analysis of a plane steel portal frame with semi-rigid beam-to-column connections subjected cyclic loading. In spite of several component models on cyclic behaviour of connections presented in the literature, works on numerical investigations on cyclic behaviour of full scale frames are rather scarce. This paper presents the evolution of an FE model which deals comprehensively with the issues related to cyclic behaviour of full scale steel frames using ABAQUS software. In the material modeling, combined kinematic/isotropic hardening model and isotropic hardening model along with Von Mises criteria are used. Connection non-linearity is also considered in the analysis. The bolt slip which happens in friction grip connection is modeled. The bolt load variation during loading, which is a pivotal issue in reality, has been taken care in the present model. This aspect, according to the knowledge of the authors, has been first time reported in the literature. The numerically predicted results using the methodology evolved in the present study, for the cyclic behaviour of a cantilever beam and a rigid frame, are validated with experimental results available in the literature. The moment-rotation and deflection responses of the evolved model, match well with experimental results. This proves that the methodology for evolving the steel frame and connection model presented in this paper is closer to real frame behaviour as evident from the good comparison and hence paves the way for further parametric studies on cyclic behaviour of flexibly connected frames.
Most connections of steel structures exhibit flexible behaviour under cyclic loading. The flexible connections can be assumed as nonlinear rotational springs attached to the ends of each beam. The nonlinear behaviour of the connections can be considered by suitable moment-rotation relationship. Time-history analysis by direct integration method can be used as a powerful technique to determine the nonlinear dynamic response of the structure. In conventional numerical integration, the response is evaluated for a series of short time increments. The limitations on the size of time intervals can be removed by using Chen and Robinson improved time history analysis method, in which the integrated displacements are used as the new variables in integrated equation of motion. The proposed method permits longer time intervals and reduces the computational works. In this paper the nonlinearity behaviour of the structure is summarized on the connections, and the step by step improved time-history analysis is used to calculate the dynamic response of the structure. Several numerical calculations which indicate the applicability and advantages of the proposed methodology are presented. These calculations illustrate the importance of the effect of the nonlinear behaviour of the flexible connections in the calculation of the dynamic response of steel frames.
