A self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection. First, factors of conspicuous consumption orientation were high price and luxury brand, fashion style, altruism, prestige, and brand. Mongol women were segmented into the price and prestige pursuit group, the fashion and brand pursuit group, the altruism pursuit group, and the conspicuous consumption retard group. Second, factors of motivating the selection of imported apparel were value, symbolism, and aesthetics, and Mongol women considered the aesthetics of imported apparel important. Married Mongol women in their 30's chose imported apparel because of its symbolism. More married women selected imported apparel because of its value and more educated women selected imported apparel because of its aesthetics. Women with higher apparel expenditure selected imported apparel because of its value and symbolism. Quality, diversity, and the fit of imported apparel were the selection criteria for Mongol women and they were satisfied with the quality, diversity, and fit of the imported apparel. Brand awareness was very important when selecting imported apparel but the women's satisfaction level was significantly low. Third, more women in their 30's, unmarried, or with a lower educational level were found in the price and the prestige pursuit group, and the price and prestige pursuit group and the altruism pursuit group selected imported apparel for its aesthetics. More unmarried women in their 30's with a higher educational level were found in the fashion and brand pursuit group and selected imported apparel for its value, symbolism, and aesthetics. More unmarried women in their 20's with a higher educational level were found in the altruism pursuit group, but unmarried women in their 20's with a lower educational level were found in the conspicuous consumption retard group.

  • The heightened consumers' interest in health and well-being gave rise to the needs for performance infants' wear, which are made with environmentally-friendly and healthy functional materials. This study intends to compare purchasers and non-purchasers of performance infants' wear in terms of their shopping behavior, shopper and infants' characteristics, and reasons for purchasing or not purchasing performance infants' wear. A total of 241 questionnaires were collected from women with infants less than 4 years old, who are living in the Seoul metropolitan area. Using SPSS 10.0, chi-square, paired t-test, and descriptive statistics were calculated to analyze the data. The results of the study were as follows: First, the purchasers of performance infants' wear shopped more often at department stores and were more likely to buy comparatively high-price products than non-purchasers. Second, for performance infants' wear, non-purchasers considered laundry/care methods and fiber contents more, while purchasers considered colors, design, price, and performance of the products less than for infants' wear in general. Third, in terms of demographic characteristics, significant differences were found for the number of children and the child's birth order. Fourth, the primary reason for buying performance infants' wear was 'health'. The primary reason for not buying was 'too high price' and 'lack of information'. The 'high price compared to its performance' and 'lack of color choice' were among the purchasers complaints about performance infants' wear.

  • With the advancement of Internet, electronic commerce has rapidly expanded and considered as a major retail channel. In the early days of the Internet, many studies compared offline and online stores on their price level and dispersion. Since e-commerce is considered matured, we need to see price change behavior in e-commerce rather than comparing it with traditional channels. Thus, this study investigated the trend of price changes in e-commerce. The data that was gathered from a price comparison site also contained six product categories. The decrease in minimum and average price was identified and the increase in maximum price was also identified. The critical factors in the increase of maximum price are number of sellers (positive effect) and the time span after a product was released (negative effect). The differences in price changes between product categories were also investigated.

  • In this paper, we designed the extended ATA(AT Attachment interface with extension) interface that combines with goods price and ability and intellectual behavior of SCSI, for make progress the ability and structure of ordinary interface for connect with device of using PC. ATA is establish a standard of IDE(Intelligent Drive Electronics) public in small form factor. SCSI bus is device behaving intellectual and have stable hardware structure, calssified instructions structure. But it is device that difficult to buy, because of price of more than two times. The other side, ATA device is worse than SCSI bus in part of ability, but it came to SCSI in part of speed after improve and it's price is less expensive. another improvement of ATA is a standard of ARAP(AT Attachment Packet Interface) and use method of packet transmission and behaves as if SCSI use a method. Finally, improvement of ATAPI behave from interface of only HDD to ability of ordinary interface. This paper propose the structure of extended interface that satisfied the price and ability.

  • Evaluations of fashion products are often influenced by consumers' knowledge of the country where the products were made in. As globalization progresses, country-of-origin information is widely regarded as a powerful cue on consumers' shopping behavior. The purpose of study was to examine the consumer evaluation of apparel products with uni-national or bi-national country of origin. The effect of price level and gender were also investigated. The empirical research design took 2${\times}$2 factorial design with the country-of-origin coincidence (uni-national vs. bi-national) and price (high vs. low) of gender (male vs. female). Consumers' ethnocentrism and country-of-origin interest were taken into account as covariates in the factorial design. The consumers' evaluation of fashion products was measured in terms of brand attitudes and product attitudes. Data from 514 respondents were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Results of this study affirmed the importance of price information rather than country-of-origin coincidence in brand attitudes and product attitudes. Only for male consumers, interaction effects of price and country-of-origin coincidence had significant eflects on utilitarian attitude. Effects of two covariate variables included in the study were significant for female respondents but not for male respondents.
