상동중석광상(上東重石鑛床)의 현미경적(顯微鏡的) 연구(硏究) (Microscopic Study of Sangdong Tungsten Ore Deposit, Korea)

  • In the Sangdong Mine area, Taebaegsan series (Pre-Cambrian) and Chosun System (Cambro-ordovician) are widely distributed. The Chosun System consists of Yangdug Series (Jangsan Quartzite and Myobong Slate) and The Great Limestone Series (Pungchon Limestone, Shesong Shale, Hwajeol Formation and Dongjeom Quartzite). The mineralized zone containing the main ore body of the Sangdong Mine was developed in the Myobong Slate formation. The result of the field and microscopic study on the mineral paragenesis and it's wall rock alteration in the tungsten ore deposit shows the following features. The orogenic movements of the Post-Chosun System in the Hambaeg Geosyncline are closely related to the tungsten ore deposition in the area, the ore minerals are composed mainly of scheelite, powelite molybdenite and sulfide minerals, and gangue minerals are hornblende, diopside, garnet, quartz, phlogopite, tremolite, biotite, muscovite, fluorite, etc., main ore body was enriched by scheelite bearing quartz vein filling into interstices of formerly mineralized zones, and the minor faults, faults of N $60^{\circ}-70^{\circ}W$, $45^{\circ}-60^{\circ}NE$ and joints, which were formed at the end of the mineralization and the slate. Country rock of the ore body was altered into the following several zones from the outside to the inside; lowgrade recrystalline aureole, silicified sericite zone, and diopside-hornblende zone. Under the microscopic observation of 195 samples taken from throughout ore body can be classified into 10 different groups by their mineral paragenesis as shown in table 2. The garnet-diopside group is primary skarn and it shows gradational change to the groups of later stage by the successive processes of metasomatism. From the stage of quartz-bearing group, the dissemination of scheelite is seen. The crystallization of scheelite in the bed started with the quartz deposition and continued to the last stage when quartz vein intruded into the main ore body. In the field and the under ground investigation a durable limestone bed in thickeness about 20 meters and their remnants in ore body are observed and under microscope calcite remnants are recognized. Hence it is posturated that the ore material moved up through the faults, shear zones or feather cracks and was assimilated with the interbeded limestone, after that the body was affected by the successive differentiated ore solution by gradational increasing in $SiO_2$, $K_2O$ and $H_2O$. Evidently this ore deposit shows the features resulted from pyrometasomatic processes.

Stress Induced Phosphate Solubilization by Aspergillus awamori bxq33110 Isolated from Waste Mushroom Bed of Agaricus bisporus

  • A fungal strain, capable of solubilizing insoluble phosphate under diverse temperature, pH and salt conditions was isolated from Waste Mushroom bed of Agaricus bisporus in South Korea. Based on 18S rRNA analysis, the strain was identified as Aspergillus awamori bxq33110. The strain showed maximum phosphate solubilization in AYG medium (525 ${\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$) followed by NBRIP medium (515 ${\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$). The strain solubilized $Ca_3(PO_4)_2$ to a greater extent and rock phosphate and $FePO_4$ to a certain extent. However $AlPO_4$ solubilizing ability of the strain was found to be very low. Glucose at the rate of 2% ($561{\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$) was found be the best carbon source for Aspergillus awamori bxq33110 to solubilize maximum amount of phosphate. However, no significant difference ($P{\leq}0.05$) in phosphorus solubilization was found between 1% and 2% glucose concentrations. $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ was the best nitrogen source for Aspergillus awamori bxq33110 followed by $NH_4Cl$ and $NH_4NO_3$. At pH 7, temperature $30^{\circ}C$ and 5% salt concentration (674 ${\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$) were found to be the optimal conditions for insoluble phosphate solubilization. However, strain Aspergillus awamori bxq33110 was shown to have the ability to solublize phosphate under different stress conditions at $30-40^{\circ}C$ temperature, pH 7-10 and 0-10% salt concentrations indicating it's potential to be used as bio-inoculants in different environmental conditions.

인도네시아 중부 칼리만탄 따까오이 지역 사금광상의 산출상태 (Occurrence of Placer Gold Deposits from the Takaoi Area of the Middle Kalimantan, Indonesia)

  • 사금광상은 주로 따까오이 지역에 분포한다. 충적층은 미고화 또는 반고화된 자갈층, 사질층과 토양층으로 구성된다. 이들은 석탄기-페름기 편암과 백악기 화강섬록암위에 부정합으로 놓인다. 상 분석에 의하면 충적층은 하도 충진의 자갈과 모래 퇴적광상 및 범람원 토양광상을 포함하는 전형적인 하성퇴적광상으로 사료된다. 금 입자는 주로 자갈층 내에 함유되어 있으며, 자갈층을 구성하는 역들 중에서 석영맥 기원의 역들만이 금을 함유하고 있다. 이러한 양상은 원암이 석영맥이었고, 이동과 삭박작용 동안 석영맥으로부터 금입자가 분리되었음을 지시한다. 이 지역에서의 금 매장량은 최소 792kg에 달한다.

부산일원(釜山一圓) 연안해빈사(沿岸海賓砂)의 퇴적학적(堆積學的) 연구(硏究) (Sedimentological Study of Littoral Beach Sand in Busan Area, South Korea)

  • This report deals with the sedimentological study of the littoral sand of beaches in the Busan area. The purpose of this report is to know the grain size, mineralogical composition, heavy mineral and clay mineral of the beach sands, and gravity measurements of the Nagdong River Deltas. 1) As a whole, the littoral sand of the beaches are composed of uniformly medium grained, moderately sorted and nearly symmetrical. The barrier sand of the Nagdong Estuary is composed of fine grained, well sorted and nearly symmetrical. 2) The littoral sand of the beaches is transported by saltation and rolling. The barrier sand of the Nagdong Estuary is transported by suspension and saltation. 3) In the littoral sand of the beaches, the ratio of feldspar to quartz is 1 :2.31 and in the barrier sand of the Nagdong Estuary 1:1.40. 4) The content of heavy mineral of samples ranges from 0.54 to 3.87 %. The principal heavy minerals are hornblende, pyroxene, epidote, garnet, leucoxene, zircon, apatite, magnetite, hematite and ilmenite with minor accessories of rutile and olivine. 5) The x-ray diffraction analysis of the clay mineral informs the existence of quartz, feldspar, kaolinite and montmorillonite. The montmorillonite is considered to have been derived from the alteration of acidic volcanic rocks. 6) To determine the depositional structure of the Nagdong Estuary, Gravity measurements were made. Free air anomaly ranges from 14.5 mgal to 33.5 mgal and Bouguer anomaly ranges from 14.3 to 23.5 mgal and both are closely related to the topography. According to the interpreted layer structure, the upper layer composing sand, silt and clay, the intermediate layer composing sand with gravel, the lower layer composing weathered and soft rock, and bed rock composing hornfels or andesite. 7) The depositional environments of the study, the littoral area is dominated by the marine environment and the Nagdong Estuary by the mixed environment.

인광석분말을 증량제로 사용한 연초(煙草)재배용 복합비료(10-0-30)의 조립(造粒)특성 및 비효 (Granulation Characteristics of Mono-granular NPK(10-0-30) Fertilizer Incorporated with Rock-Phosphate Powder and its Effects on Tobacco Plant)

  • 조립 복합비료의 증량제를 점토광물 대신 인광석분말로 대체하여 연초용 복합비료(10-0-30)조립시험을 수행했다. 황산칼리 60%, 요소 22%, 인광석 18%로 조성된 분말에 10% 인산액을 점결제로 조립한 결과 소량의 점결제로서 양호하게 조립되었으며 입자분포, 입자경도, 수중 붕괴도, 흡습성 등 물리성이 매우 이상적인 입자로 조사되었다. 담배직물을 묘상기, 본포기로 나누어 폿트 비효실험 결과 생육기간이 짧은 묘상에서는 시제품의 생육이 부진하였고 본포기 폿트 재배시험에서도 인산축적이 없는 개간지 토양에서는 생육이 부진하였으나 인산이 축적된 숙전에서는 정상적으로 생육하였다.

고함량 자연방사성물질 우려지역에 대한 지하수 환경 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Groundwater Environment in Highly Enriched Areas of Natural Radionuclides)

  • Groundwater sampling was performed at 38 wells where they are located in the areas with high uranium and radon (marked as A and B, respectively) concentrations, which were based on the previous research results. In-situ parameters (temperature, pH, EC, Eh, DO) and natural radionuclides (uranium and radon) were analyzed to figure out the characteristics of groundwater environments. In-situ data did not show any relations to natural radionuclide data, which could be caused by groundwater mixing, depths of wells, and geological settings, etc. But the highest radon well presented relatively low temperature value and the highest uranium well presented relatively low pH values The highest uranium concentration ranging $1.14{\sim}188.19{\mu}g/L$ showed in the area of A region consisted of Jurassic two-mica granite. The areas of Jurassic biotite granite and Cretaceous granite in the A region have the uranium concentrations ranging $0.10{\sim}49.78{\mu}g/L$ and $0.36{\sim}3.01{\mu}g/L$, respectively. The uranium values from between wells of community water systems (CWSs) penetrating fractured bed-rock aquifers and personal boreholes settled in shallow aquifers near the wells of CWSs show big differences. It implies that the groundwaters of the two areas have evolved from different water-rock interaction paths that may caused by various types of wells having different aquifers. High radon activities in the area of B region composed of Precambrian gneiss showed ranging from 6,770 to 64,688 pCi/L. Even though the wells are located in the same geological settings, their rodon concentration presented different according to depth and distance.

구례지역 하상퇴적물의 지질집단별 자연배경치에 대한 연구 (The Study of Natural Background of Geologic Units for Stream Sediments in the Gurye Area)

  • 구례지역의 1차 수계를 대상으로 하상퇴적물을 채취하여 지질집단별 주성분 및 미량성분원소의 자연배경치를 설정하고자 하였다. 하상퇴적물은 구례지형도에서 오염의 우려가 없고 단일지질로 구성된 집수분지를 대표할 수 있는 시료를 1999년 4월과 5월에 걸쳐 채취하였고 화학분석을 실시하였다 유해원소들의 부화정도를 알아보기 위해 tolerable level윽 이용하여 살펴본 결과 일부 지역에서 Ni과 Cr의 함량이 tolerable love의 허용한계치를 초과하는 것으로 나타나는데, 이는 이들 지역의 기반암인 변성암류의 영향으로 인한 것으로 판단된다. 유해금속원소의 종합적인 부화양상을 규명하기 위하여 tolerable level을 이용하여 부화지수를 산출한 격과, 화강편마암지역은 0.39, 반상변정질화강편 마암지역은 0.32, 흑운모편마암지역은 0.42, 혼성편마암지역은 0.41, 응회암지역은 0.30, 안산암지역은 0.46, 역암지역은 0.42, 화강암지역은 0.26으로 매우 낮은 부화지수를 보여주고 있는 것으로 보아 연구지역의 자연배경치는 유해금속원소의 오염에 노출되지 않은 것으로 판단된다.

국내 지반특성에 적합한 설계지반운동 결정 방법에 대한 연구 (Evaluation of Earthquake Ground Motion Considering Dynamic Site Characteristics in Korea)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 148개 지반에 대한 전단파속도 주상도, 기반암 깊이 및 지반의 동적변형특성을 획득하여 미국 서부해안지역의 지반특성과 비교하였고, 등가선형해석을 수행하였다. 해석은 1등급 붕괴방지수준인 0.154g를 암반노두에 적용하여 수행하였다. 해석결과 국내 지반특성에 적합한 증폭계수 $F_a$$F_v$는 UBC 기준의 증폭계수와 매우 다른 경향을 보였다. 단주기 증폭계수 $F_a$의 경우 UBC 기준보다는 큰 값이 얻어졌고, 장주기 증폭계수 $F_v$는 UBC 기준보다 작은 값으로 나타났다. 따라서, 국내 지반특성을 적절히 반영할 수 있는 설계지반운동 결정방법을 개선해야할 필요를 확인하였다.

  • A number of unconsolidated deposits, consisting of a layer of gravels and silt, are found in Dangjeong-ri, Seocheon-gun in the western coast. From below in the stratigraphic sequence, the gravel layer ranging up to a maximum thickness of about 2 meters is interpreted as being formed by fluvial processes of an old channel (Dangjeong S.), and the overlying silt or sandy silt layer of 2 to 3 thickness meters is assumed to be emerged paleo-tidal sediments which was deposited in low tidal-energy environments. As the results of rock surface IRSL datings, the depositional ages of gravels are confirmed as ca. 78,000 ~ 83,000 years BP, indicating that the layer was formed in response to a high-stand sea level of MIS 5a along the Dangjeongcheon estuary. It is presumed that the relative height of 4.5 meter between the altitude of the stream bed (9.5 m) and the altitude of the bedrock boundary in the gravel layer (14 m) indicates the uplift amount since deposition. Paleo-sedimentary environments and an altitude of paleo-shoreline in the study area will be discussed with additional age dating focused on the silt layer.

흑색사암(오석)과 흑색셰일(청석) 석재자원의 지질과 산출유형 (Geology and Occurrence of Black Sandstone and Black Shale Dimension Stones, Korea)

  • 국내의 흑색사암 및 흑색셰일 석산에 대한 전반적인 연구가 수행된 바가 없다. 따라서 이들에 대한 상황을 파악하기가 용이하지 않다. 보령지역의 기존 석산에서 채석되는 흑색사암 및 흑색셰일의 분포, 산출상태 및 암질에 대하여 조직적, 과학적으로 이 연구를 수행하는데 목적이 있다. 흑색사암 층의 조사는 4개 도폭의 54개 광구에서 실시되었다. 연구 지역에서 37개 광구내에서 140 개소의 흑색사암 석산, 22 개소의 흑색셰일 석산이 확인되었다. 이러한 기존 석산에 대한 전반적인 개발정보 자료가 수집 및 종합되었다. 이들 중에서 묘비석 및 기념비용의 흑색사암 석산, 벼루용 흑색셰일 석산에서 채석작업이 진행 중에 있다. 대부분의 흑색사암 석산은 개화리, 수부리, 성주리 지역에 밀집하며 이들 석산은 흑색사암의 생산에서 주요한 역할을 담당하고 있었다. 상업적인 석재의 관점에서 볼 때, 흑색사암 원석은 산출상태 및 형태의 특성에 따라서 핵석과 신선한 암체로 구분된다. 흑색사암층은 독특하게 절리가 잘 발달하며, 특히 3 절리조 내에서 입방체 또는 사각형으로 분리되어 있다. 이러한 흑색사암류는 암회색내지 회흑색으로 나타난다. 흑색사암층은 대동누층군의 아미산층, 조계리층, 백운사층 및 성주리층 내에 협재하며, 층후는 약 $1\~10m$ 이다.
