카본블랙 촉매를 이용한 유동층 반응기에서 메탄과 프로판 혼합물의 촉매 분해에 의한 수소생산 연구 (Hydrogen production by catalytic decomposition of methane and propane mixture over carbon black catalyst in a fluidized bed)

  • A fluidized bed reactor made of quartz with 0.055 m I.D. and 1.0 m in height was employed for the thermocatalytic decomposition of methane to produce $CO_{2}$ - free hydrogen. The fluidized bed was proposed for the continuous withdraw of product carbons from the reactor. The methane decomposition rate with the carbon black N330 catalyst was quickly reached a quasi-steady state rate and remained for several hour. The methane and propane mixture decomposition reaction was carried out at the temperature range of 850 - 900 $^{\circ}C$, methane and propane mixture gas velocity of 1.0 $U_{mf}$ ${\sim}$ 3.0 $U_{mf}$ and the operating pressure of 1.0 atm. Effect of operating parameters such as reaction temperature, gas velocity on the reaction rates was investigated. The produced carbon by the methane decomposition was deposited on the surfaces of carbon catalysts and the morphology was observed by SEM image.

Resulting production in our experiment were not only hydrogen but also several by products such as methane, ethylene, ethane, and propylene.

  • 활성탄과 제올라이트 13X에 대한 벤젠의 정적흡착실험으로부터 Freundlich isotherm과 Toth isotherm을 구하였으며 똑같은 흡착제로 충진된 흡착탑을 이용하여 벤젠의 파과곡선을 측정하였다. 파과시간과 벤젠 분압의 관계를 해석하여 Freundlich isotherm의 파라미터를 결정하였다. 파과실험 결과의 해석으로부터 예측되는 벤젠의 흡착량이 정적 실험 결과로부터 예측되는 것과 비교적 잘 일치하였다. 활성탄에 대한 동적 실험 결과에서 좀 더 대칭형태에 가까운 파과곡선이 얻어져서 제올라이트 13X에 비해 더 적은 오차가 나타났다.

  • 이리듐 촉매의 국산화 개발과정에서 고온/고압으로 인한 촉매파손, 유실, 소결현상 등이 관찰되었고, 이렇게 손상된 촉매대로 인하여 추력기의 성능이 저하된다고 보고되었다. 이에 본 논문의 연구에서는 촉매대를 1차원 다공질성 매질로 가정, 모델링하여 수치해석코드를 개발하였다. 개발된 수치해석코드는 실험데이터와 비교하여 검증하였으며, 촉매유실에 의해 변하게 되는 촉매대의 공극률을 변화시켜 다양한 경우의 촉매유실을 가정하여 해석을 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 촉매유실이 하이드라진과 암모니아의 분해반응에 끼치는 영향을 연구하였다.

  • 본 논문은 유동층반응기에서 메탄 열분해에 의한 수소 생산과 탄소 생성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 환경에 대한 영향을 최소화한 상태에서 one-step에 의한 메탄의 전환반응을 메탄 분해촉매활성에 영향을 미치는 인자에 대하여 연구하였다. 측정된 압력요동특성치의 해석을 통하여 유동층 열분해촉매의 유동화현상을 측정하였으며, 유동화특성에 따른 메탄열분해능을 측정하였다. 메탄의 분해능는 생성되는 수소의 농도로부터 측정하였다. 유동층의 특성인 층내 입자 이동성, U-Umf, 마모, 비산유출, 유동화가스의 효율밀도에 따른 분해효율에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다.

  • It is necessary to store and supply hydrogen isotopes for Tokamak operation. A storage and delivery system (SDS) is used for storing hydrogen isotopes as a metal hydride form. We designed and fabricated a depleted uranium (DU) bed to store hydrogen isotopes. The rapid storage of hydrogen isotopes is very important not only for safety reasons but also for the economic design and operation of the SDS. The delivery rate at the desorption temperatures without the operation of a dry pump was analyzed in comparison with that with the operation of the dry pump. The effect of the initial desorption temperatures on the dehydriding of the DU without the operation of the dry pump was measured. The effect of the initial desorption temperatures on the dehydriding of DU with the operation of the dry pump was also measured and analyzed. The primary pressure on the desorption temperatures without the operation of the dry pump was analyzed in comparison with that with the operation of the dry pump. The temperature gradient of the coil heater and the primary vessel was also analyzed. Our results will be used to develop pilot scale hydrogen isotope processes. It was confirmed that dehydriding of a medium-scale DU bed has enabled without the operation of the dry pump.

The carbon which was by-product of methane decomposition reaction was deposited on the catalyst surface that was observed by SEM. Resulting production in our experiment were not only hydrogen but also several by products such as methane, ethylene, ethane, and propylene.

THERMAL AND STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF CALANDRIA VESSEL OF A PHWR DURING A SEVERE ACCIDENT

  • In a postulated severe core damage accident in a PHWR, multiple failures of core cooling systems may lead to the collapse of pressure tubes and calandria tubes, which may ultimately relocate inside the calandria vessel forming a terminal debris bed. The debris bed, which may reach high temperatures due to the decay heat, is cooled by the moderator in the calandria. With time, the moderator is evaporated and after some time, a hot dry debris bed is formed. The debris bed transfers heat to the calandria vault water which acts as the ultimate heat sink. However, the questions remain: how long would the vault water be an ultimate heat sink, and what would be the failure mode of the calandria vessel if the heat sink capability of the reactor vault water is lost? In the present study, a numerical analysis is performed to evaluate the thermal loads and the stresses in the calandria vessel following the above accident scenario. The heat transfer from the molten corium pool to the surrounding is assumed to be by a combination of radiation, conduction, and convection from the calandria vessel wall to the vault water. From the temperature distribution in the vessel wall, the transient thermal loads have been evaluated. The strain rate and the vessel failure have been evaluated for the above scenario.

피라미드형 패조류용 어초의 수리학적 특성 (Hydraulic Characteristics of Two Types of Pyramid-Shaped Artificial Reefs)

  • 본 연구에서는 2종류의 피라미드형 패조류용 인공어초의 안정성 평가를 위해 Froude 상사법칙을 적용한 고정상 및 이동상 수리모형실험을 수행하였으며, 현장 설계외력(파랑, 흐름 등) 조건에 따라 이론적/실험적 검토를 하였다. 실험 결과는 파랑-흐름 공존장에서 어초의 안정성에 영향을 미치는 무차원 영향인자(설계파라메타)인 쇄파상사지수, 수립자속도, 파압 등을 사용하여 상호관련성을 검토하였다. 그 실험결과, 어초의 활동을 일으키는 한계조건은 고정상 실험에서는 쇄파상사지수에 따라서 무차원 최대수립자속도가 약 0.4 이상일 때, 이동상 실험에서는 무차원 파압에 따라서 상대수심이 약 0.11 이하일 때 나타났다. 또한 상대수심에 따른 수평 및 연직 파압은 상대수심이 증감함에 따라서 선형적으로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.
