The study was conducted from November 27, 2020 to January 31, 2021, with 20 women in their 20s and 30s divided into 4 groups, A~D, by age, 5 per group. Skin measurements were taken four times at 4 hour intervals at 0H, 4H, 8H, and 12H based on the first measurement that was taken within 30 minutes after waking up, and the oil and moisture indices were observed over time. As a result, both T and U zones showed significant differences in moisture levels over time, with no difference between groups for both T and U zones. Moisture decreased the most between 0H to 4H, and moisture changed the least between 4H to 8H. Changes in moisture increased the similar at 0H and 12H. The oil condition changed more irregularly compared to moisture over time, but all groups showed lower oil content in the U-zone compared to the T-zone. Overall, the facial oil and moisture conditions of women in their 20s and 30s changed over time, indicating that the skin changes in real time. The fact that the skin data, which was measured in the primary activity living environment, can be used as basic research data in the beauty self-care market is meaningful.

Population aging and longevity have compelled major worldwide consumer markets to focus on senior citizens who exhibit a desire to nurture their appearance and obtain related products such as cosmetics. This trend signals an increasing need for in-depth research on elderly consumers in the color cosmetics market. This study identified the characteristics of seniors in the pre-elderly stage ("new seniors") based on their lifestyle and market segments. It employed online surveys with participants consisting of pre-elderly Korean women born between 1955 and 1963 who reside in the greater Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The study used SPSS 23.0 for factor analysis, reliability verification, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's test, and cross-analysis. The results show that new seniors could be classified into four groups based on lifestyle: Prime Seniors, Potential Seniors, Rational Seniors, and Slump Seniors. Each group has distinct characteristics. The findings suggest that the senior market requires further segmentation and is no longer a single uniform market. This study also confirms that the lifestyles of the elderly is an instrumental variable for their segmentation.

We investigate the impact of marital status on the levels of satisfaction of online shoppers in the beauty and cosmetics industry in Vietnam. We find a significant difference in satisfaction between married and divorced/separated online shoppers. More specifically, the latter reveals higher level of satisfaction than the former. Extended analyses further show that this finding is only observed for female online shoppers whilst it is insignificant for their male counterparts. Moreover, we find significant differences in determinants of customer satisfaction between three different groups of online shoppers: single, married, and divorced/separated. While married individuals' satisfaction is affected by all factors (Online shopping experience; Seller Services; External Incentives; Security/Privacy), that of their divorced/separated peers are influenced by only seller services and external incentives. Also, single participants are satisfied with their online shopping driven by their online shopping experience and external incentives. Our findings contribute to the stream of customer satisfaction literature, and to the studies in beauty and cosmetics sector as well as online shopping trends in Vietnam. They contain implications for existing online businesses and new or potential market entrants as to which customer demographic factors have significant influences in terms of customer psychology, behaviour and their satisfaction.
