  • Flight termination system(FTS) is used to terminate safely the launch vehicle's flight when it faces an emergency situation by transmitting termination command from ground FTS. RCC standard IRIG tone method has been used widely for FTS commands method in foreign ranges and Naro Space Center, but this method has a weakness for security of command signal. Therefore RCC had studied more secured EFTS standard and chose CPFSK digital modulation method. This paper describes basic concept and types of FTS and FTS types which foreign ranges had applied and describes standardization of EFTS in the U.S. based on RCC EFTS study reports.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a communication model of teaching-learning at culinary practical learning class in school. Statistically, the organizational culture of culinary schools was influenced by the nature of hierarchical culture, task outcomes, and the conservative culture of organizations in companies. First, in basic skill class, teaching and learning methods are based on a teacher who leads students according to his plans and decisions. Second, in a higher skill course, teaching and learning methods are based on students who take an active part by injecting some fresh ideas into their class. Third, the model of three courses for culinary skill development has an effect on processing into a modeling-scaffolding-fading method by teaching and learning in school. It was ascertained that organizational culture directly or indirectly influenced organizational effectiveness and organizational culture in culinary schools. Moreover, it was found that organizational culture was the biggest influencing concept for communication effectiveness between teachers and students.

  • There is an increasing appreciation of the vital role that biomechanics play in the performance of oral implant. The aim of this article is to provide some basic principles that will allow a clinician to formulate a biomechanically valid treatment plan. However, at this point in the history of oral implantology, the clinician should realize that we do not know enough to provide absolute biomechanical rules that will guarantee success of all implants in all situations. To examine the biomechanical questions, one must begin with an analysis of the distribution of biting forcess to implants. Related topics, such as stress transfer to surrounding tissues and interrelationships between bone biology and mechanical loading are major subjects, deserving a separate discussion. Once rigid fixation, angulation, crestal bone level, contour, and gingival health are achieved, stress beyond physiologic limits is the primary cause of initial bone loss around implants. The restoring dentist has specific responsibilities to reduce overload to the bone-implant interface. These include proper diagnosis, leading to a treatment plan designed with adequate retention and form, and progressive loading to improve the amount and density of bone and further reduce the risk of stress beyond physiologic limits. The major remaining factor is the development of occlusal concept in harmony with the rest of the stomagnetic system.

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to analyse the content of health-textbooks in elementary school in order to offer the basic data required for development or revision of health-textbook for elementary school. Methods: This study was methodological study of the content of health-textbooks. The study sample consisted of 10 health-textbooks of elementary school which were edited in 2009~2010. The components of contents divides into holistic analysis and specific areas. Results: One textbook was no introductory remarks and 2 textbooks were no preface. The health-textbooks consisted of 7 areas and were comprehensive for school education. The proportion of each was different in 10 textbooks. Sexuality and health was accounted for the largest portion of the seven areas in both the fifth and sixth grade. However, given that the mortality rate for the child's safety accidents is higher than in developed countries, the proportion of accident prevention and first aid can be relatively weak area. Conclusion: It is essential that health-textbooks empower schoolers to make healthy decisions through the promotion of useful life skills that provide a more integrated concept of health. Therefore, there is a need for approaches to health textbook to integrate more values of health.

  • In the field of control technology, too, it is about time that the students should free themseleves from the paradigm of Newtonian mechanics. Otherwise, they might fail to grasp the essence of control. Now, let us consider the essence of control. Control consists of manipulating a particular object, matter, energy of environment on the basis of certain medium information. (measurement data, force, etc.) So, we shall look into the methods of manipulation. Here, we consider natural control, constraining control, and hybrid control as basic methods of manipulation. In this paper, we would like to put forward the daring proposal that it's called a Holon-type hybrid control system. It is intended to control a plat with complicated or unknown characteristics where a conventional control theory is not easy to apply. A prototype system has been developed and applied to a real plant. The control system is a multi-layer system. Each layer includes different control input. The important features of the system are as follows: 1) Each layer behaves autonomously and also cooperates with each other to optimize the whole plant. 2) The controller optimizes a plant without mathematical models when these models are not easy to obtain.

  • The Design of automotive IP must be designed for improving safety, and for satisfying the consumer's preference and for enlarging the usability of various gauges and information displaydevices. Also, these objects become more important by regarded and will be treated very sensitively for the next-generation vehicle concepts. Therefore, Automotive IP must be designed to adjust these trends, besides accord with car-inner lifestyle. One of these concept's designs is to apply Human Sensibility Ergonomics. This study suggestes the driver-centered design of the IP components that focused on the audio unit and HVAC(Heat and Ventilation Air Conditioner) through cognitive experiment. Primarily, analyzed components of IP in use, then, combined these components (especially, the number and arry of buttons, the position of LCD panel, etc.) nd designed some sample images(prototypes) the same as real size. After the subjects looked at the sam ples at the interval of 0.2/0.4/0.6 seconds, subjects should fill out the given forms from their memory. Then, the optimal prototype of IP was designed in respect to the correctness of cognition. The results will show the basic guideline of optimal design of IP that in the case of aaudio unit, the position of LCD, the array and the number of channel, in the case of HVAC, the position of LCD, TEMP button type and other button types.

  • Focusing on the holistic concept of health, which embraces both physical and mental health, we investigated the effects of parenting and community factors on the health of 1,248 first- and second-year middle school students, on the basis of the data of the Korean Survey on the Activities and Culture of Youth and Children in 2009. The latent class analysis revealed three types of holistic health groups from the data, named as follows: (1) the healthy group, (2) moderate group, and, (3) fragile group. Then, we analyzed the effects of parenting factors and community safety on these health types according to the students' year in school and their mother' s status of employment. The results showed that the first-year students had consistent parenting effects on their own type of health, while the safety of the community only partly contributed to the probability of affiliation to healthier types. However, in the case of the second-year students, a neglectful parenting style and community safety consistently had significant effects on the students' type of health, while parental concern about an adolescent's health did not contribute to the probability of affiliation to healthier types when only the mother was unemployed. The discussion considers how these results provide basic resources for formulating policies and creating intervention programs for addressing the health problems of adolescents.

  • This study focused on the body modification in fashion illustration based on 'Corps sans Organes' of Deleuze. An argument about the changes of ideal body to define the aesthetic consciousness of times has lasted for a long time. Therefore, analyzing body modification in fashion illustration to express the ideal beauty could be effective motives to understand the changes of ideal bodies related with socio-cultural meanings, and be helpful to understand the overall trends of modern fashion illustration. To classify the types of body modification, the concept of 'Corps sans Organes' of Deleuze was used as an analyzing tool. As the final result, the characteristics of body modification could be divided into three groups; the fragmentation of bodies, the pastiche of bodies, and the abstraction of bodies. First, in the fragmentation of bodies, which is related with flexibility, pluralism, and subjective views on body, the bodies were separated as molecules. Second, the elements of pastiche of bodies could be subdivided into five sub-groups; sex, plants, animals, texts and figure, and machines. The pastiche of bodies was used to extend the limitation of human capabilities and to reinterpret the human identities. Last, the abstraction of bodies based on contingency, indeterminacy, and subjective associations could be related with the nomadic and indefinite body images. The body modification could be considered as the context of nomadism, indeterminacy, and virtuality of modern-times, and it would be the basic data to understand the body modification in fashion illustrations.

  • A CAD program for metal bellows diaphragm was developed in this study. This program was written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD system with a personal computer. Basic design concept used in this program is composition of a convolution that is tangent to two lines and 5 circles from given design parameters(initial radius, inner and outer diameter, thickness, pitch, etc.). The effects of altering some design parameters on stress distribution and fatigue life of bellows were estimated using commercial FEM code, NISAII. As a result, the metal bellows diaphragm was successfully designed by the CAD program. It is used to model a bellows geometry in pre-processor of FEM code. The FEM result shows that stress is dependent on straight line length, bellows diameter with same span, and fatigue life is also affected by design parameters.
