A dual-band (UHF: 470-862 MHz, L: 1452-1492 MHz) digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) antenna is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of a planar inverted F-shape antenna (PIFA) with an input impedance matching circuit. The matching circuit improves antenna performance in the broad UHF bands (470-862 MHz: 63%). The proposed antenna has omni-directional patterns and sufficient gain (Ave. peak gain is about 1.70 dBi over 470-862 MHz) for the PMP applications. The antenna is contact with a PMP case (${\varepsilon}_r=3.2$) which is used as a substrate for the size reduction and compact design.

In these days, importance of the power electronic devices and modules keeps increasing due to electric vehicles and energy saving requirements. However, current silicon-based power devices showed several limitations. Therefore, wide band gap (WBG) semiconductors such as SiC, GaN, and $Ga_2O_3$ have been developed to replace the silicon power devices. WBG devices show superior performances in terms of device operation in harsh environments such as higher temperatures, voltages and switching speed than silicon-based technology. In power devices, the reliability of the devices and module package is the critically important to guarantee the normal operation and lifetime of the devices. In this paper, we reviewed the recent trends of the power devices based on WBG semiconductors as well as expected future technology. We also presented an overview of the recent package module and fabrication technologies such as direct bonded copper and active metal brazing technology. In addition, the recent heat management technologies of the power modules, which should be improved due to the increased power density in high temperature environments, are described.

This paper applies a compressed algorithm to improve the spectrum sensing performance of cognitive radio technology. At the fusion center, the recovery error in the analog to information converter (AIC) when reconstructing the transmit signal from the received time-discrete signal causes degradation of the detection performance. Therefore, we propose a subspace pursuit (SP) algorithm to reduce the recovery error and thereby enhance the detection performance. In this study, we employ a wide-band, low SNR, distributed compressed sensing regime to analyze and evaluate the proposed approach. Simulations are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
We have now constructed a novel recombinant baculovirus producing fusion protein with Autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcNPV) polyhedrin and Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt) cryIA(c) crystal protein. The fusion protein expressed by the recombinant baculovirus in insect cells was characterized. The N-terminal of cryIA(c) gene of Bt subsp. kurstaki HD-73 was introduced under the control of polyhedrin gene promoter of AcNPV, by fusion in the front of intact polyhedrin gene or by insertion into the HindIII site in polyhedrin gene. The recombinant baculoviruses were named as BtrusI or BtrusII, respectively. Although single transcript from the fusion protein gene was apparently observed. BtrusI was produced the two proteins, 92 kDa fusion protein and only polyhedrin. In addition, fusion protein produced by BtrusI did not form polyhedra. Interestingly, however, the cells infected with BtrusII did not show a 33 kDa polyhedrin band as a cells infected with BtrusI. Cells infected with BtrusII were only produced fusion protein, but the polyhedra formed by fusion protein was not observed. To determine the insecticidal toxicity of fusion protein, therefore, Sf9 cells infected with BtrusI were inoculated to Bombyx mori larvae. Sf9 cells infected with BtrusI that expressed the fusion protein caused larval mortality although the insecticidal toxicity was low. In conclusion, our results clearly demonstrated that the fusion protein with polyhedrin and Bt cryIA(c) crystal protein have a insecticida toxicity.
In order to develop procedures for the rapid isolation of recombinant sugar transporter in functional form from away from the endogenous insect cell transporter, gene fusion techniques were exploited. Briefly, BamH1-digested human HepG2 type glucose transport protein cDNA was first cloned into a transfer vector pBlueBacHis, containing a tract of six histidine residues. Recombinant baculoviruses including the human cDNA were then generated by allelic exchange following transfection of insect cells with wild-type BaculoGold virus DNA and the recombinant transfer vector. Plaque assay was then performed to obtain and purify recombinant viruses expressing the human transport protein. All the cell samples that had been infected with viruses from the several blue plaques exhibited a positive reaction in the immnuassay, demonstrating expression of the glucose transport protein. In contrast, no color development in the immunoassay was observed for cells infected with the wild-type virus or no virus. Immunoblot analysis showed that a major immunoreactive band of apparent Mr 43,000~44,000 was evident in the lysate from cells infected with the recombinant baculovirus. Following expression of the recombinant fusion protein with the metal-binding domain and enterokinase cleavage site, the fusion protein was recovered by competition with imidizole using immobilized metal charged resin. The leader peptide was then removed from the fusion protein by cleavage with porcine enterokinase. Final separation of the recombinant protein of the interest was achieved by passage over $Ni^{2+}$-charged resin under binding conditions. The expressed transport protein bound cytochalasin B and demonstrated a functional similarity to its human counterpart.

This paper presents a method for detecting tumors on chicken carcasses by fusion of hyperspectral fluorescence and reflectance images. Classification of normal skin and tumor is performed by the image obtain 어 from optimal band ratio which minimizes the overlapping area of PDFs for normal skin and tumor. This method yields four feature images, each of them represents the ratio of two intensity values from a pixel. Classification is achieved by applying ISODATA to each pixel from the feature images. For the analysis of reflectance image, band selection method is proposed based on the information quantity, many effective features are acquired for the classification by defining the linear transformation selecting the projection axis, accordingly, accurate interpretation of images is possible in the reflectance image and automatic feature selection method is realized. Feature images from reflectance images are also classified by ISODATA and combined with the result from fluorescence images. Experimental result indicates that improved performance in term of reducing false detection rate is observed.
Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone secreted from primarily cells of the peritubular capillary endothelium of the kidney, and is responsible for the regulation of red blood cell production. We constructed and expressed dimeric cDNAs in Chinease hamster ovary (CHO) cells encoding a fusion protein consisting of 2 complete human EPO domains linked by a 2-amino acid linker (Ile-Asp). We described the activity of dimeric hyperglycosylated EPO (dHGEPO) mutants containing additional oligosaccharide chains and characterized the function of glycosylation. No dimeric proteins with mutation at the $105^{th}$ amino acid were found in the cell medium. Growth and differentiation of the human EPO-dependent leukemiae cell line (F36E) were used to measure cytokine dependency and in vitro bioactivity of dHGEPO proteins. MIT assay at 24 h increased due to the survival of F36E cells. The dHGEPO protein migrated as a broad band with an average molecular mass of 75 kDa. The mutant, dHGEPO, was slightly higher than the wild-type (WT) dimeri-EPO band. Enzymatic N-deglycosylation resulted in the formation of a narrow band with a molecular mass twice of that of of monomeric EPO digested with an N-glycosylation enzyme. Hematocrit values were remarkably increased in all treatment groups. Pharmacokinetic analysis was also affected when 2.5 IU of dHGEPO were intravenously injected into the tails of the mice. The biological activity and half-life of dHGEPO mutants were enhanced as compared to the corresponding items associated the WT dimeric EPO. These results suggest that recombinant dHGEPO may be attractive biological and therapeutic targets.

$Eu^{3+}$-doped $MgMoO_4$ phosphor thin films were deposited on quartz substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering with changing various growth temperatures. The effects of growth temperature on the structure, transmittance, optical band gap, and luminescence of the phosphor thin films were characterized. All the phosphor thin films, irrespective of growth temperature, showed a monoclinic structure with a main (220) diffraction peak. The thin film deposited at a growth temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ indicated an average transmittance of 90% in the wavelength range of 500 ~ 1100 nm and band gap energy of 4.81 eV. The excitation spectra of the phosphor thin films consisted of a broad charge transfer band peaked at 284 nm in the range of 230 ~ 330 nm and two weak peaks located at 368 and 461 nm, respectively. The emission spectra under ultraviolet excitation at 284 nm exhibited a sharp emission peak at 614 nm and several weak bands. All the phosphor thin films showed high asymmetry ratio values, indicating that $Eu^{3+}$ ions incorporated into the host lattice occupied at the non-inversion symmetry sites. The results suggest that the growth temperature plays an important role in growing high-quality phosphor thin films.

Interspecific fusion products were obtained from fusion of Ganoderma applanatum and Ganoderma luridum. Frequency of fusion was 0.77-1.38%. Fusion products were selected by the comparision of morphology and color of colony. Fusion Products had chracteristics of two parental strains and generally grew faster than the parents. Some fusants were segregated on GCM. Fusion products were confirmed by mycelial morphology and electrophoretics pattern of esterase isozyme from mycelium. Most of fusion products were lack in clamp connection but those fusion products, that were segregated produced mycelium with and without clamp connection. Some of the fusion products produced fruit body on sawdust medium.

Two frequency-reconfigurable antennas have been designed and combined in a space with limited volume, i.e., 40mm ${\times}$ 20mm ${\times}$ 6mm. Each antenna can be reconfigured to operate at different frequency bands depending on the state of an embedded switch, which is implemented using a PIN diode. The first antenna can be switched between 0.82GHz ${\sim}$ 0.96GHz band (GSM/ CDMA) and 1.7GHz ${\sim}$ 2.17GHz band (DCS/ PCS/ WCDMA), which are cellular bands. The second antenna can be switched between 3.4GHz ${\sim}$ 3.6GHz band (mWiMax) and 2.3GHz ${\sim}$ 2.5GHz, 5.15GHz ${\sim}$ 5.35GHz bands (WiBro/ WLAN 11a/b/g/n), which are connectivity bands. The proposed combined antenna operates both over cellular bands and connectivity bands concurrently. The choice of the operation bands is made independently by the states of the two switches.
