  • Balance Shaft Module is module parts that is installed to vehicles engine to reduce noise and vibration of vehicles engine. Balance Shaft Module's performance exerts important influence on performance of engine. Therefore, must be able to warrant quality and performance of Balance Shaft Module. Existing product found and revised error at continuous process of production, and estimated failure mode in Balance Shaft Module. Previous method hard to secure product that performance is excellent, and bring a lot of damages economically. Therefore, development of inspectin system for quality inspection of parts and performance test of assembly is essential in Balance Shaft Module. In this study, represented development process of automatic dynamic inspection system to test performance and detect breakdown of Balance Shaft Module that is producing in Dongbo.

  • Game balance is an very important factor for game design, it is necessary factor to make game more fun. Most of game companies have been using their own balance method for successful game development. An efficient balance method always can't guarantee successful game development but it is true for game developer to need standard balance method for efficient game development. Fighting system between characters is mainly implemented in genre including action. Direct balance factors for fighting between characters are their characteristics and attack patterns. In this paper, We identify direct balance factors for game including fighting system between characters and propose mathematical method for it.

Effects of 8-Week Elastic Resistance Exercise on Knee Isokinetic Rate of Velocity Development and Balance by Age

  • Ten women in their 20s and 10 women in their 50s were selected to investigate the effect of an elastic band exercise program for 8 weeks according to age on women's knee speed expression rate and balance. Knee isokinetic muscle strength measurement, single-legged standing with eyes closed, and YBT were performed 1 week before and after the exercise program. The measured data were analyzed through a mixed design two-way ANOVA, and if there was a significant difference, post hoc verification was performed using the bonferoni method. In our study, as a result of an 8-week elastic band exercise program, there was no difference in the speed development rate according to the measurement period, and the speed development rate according to age was found to be higher in people in their 50s than in their 20s. In our study, there was no difference in balance ability depending on the measurement period, and there was also no difference in balance ability depending on age. Discussing the results of our study, we found that 8 weeks of elastic band exercise cannot bring about significant changes in speed development ability and balance ability, which become more accurate with age.

Custom-made Golf Insole Recommender System for Optimizing The Foot Balance During Golf Swing

  • In this paper, we propose the method and development of custom-made golf insole recommender system to optimize the foot balance during golf swing. This system development procedures are as follows : (1) Using the measured data of the golf swing, the analysis of the individual golf hitting and balance will be done. (2) Based on the analysis results, the system will recommend the golf custom-made insole to optimize the individual balance using recommender algorithm. (3) After the golf custom-made insole is recommended, the modeling and design of the recommended insole is processed. Golf custom-made insole will be possible to reduce the excessive shaking and increase the lower-body supporting force. Therefore, we have expected that the recommended insole will improve the swing results through the optimization of golf swing balance. In the future, it is necessary to secure the higher validity and reliability through the more diverse experiments and research.

  • This study analyses factors facilitating work-family balance through quantitative research and case study. A sense of balance is more closely related to cognition and satisfaction in work and family than demographic factors. Based on these results, two kinds of educational programs for employees and employers were developed. Both programs consist of 4 sessions and focus on the necessity of work-family balance and the application of family-friendly policie.

  • There has been no systematic accumulation in the aircraft weight data even though those are crucial in the full life-cycle weight and balance program of aircraft. Companies, government agencies, and the Korea Air Force have been controling the data separately. The lack of communication between these institutes prevented the mutual use of the data. This study deals with a SE model-based weight and balance program development process for the full life-cycle weight and balance control of aircraft which enabled the efficient and mutual use of the weight data from the various institutes.

Correlation between agility and balance (민첩성과 균형감각 간의 상호관계)

  • Background: While agility is a critical factor in the performance of sport in the court field, due to the diversity of agility occurrences, it is generally difficult to develop by strength and conditioning training. Previous study reported the correlation with the static balance and agility. However, the correlation between dynamic balance and agility is insufficient. It is necessary to study how static and dynamic balance affect agility respectively, for agility development. Design: Cross sectional correlational study design Methods: Twenty young women participated in the study. Three tests were used : one leg stance(static balance),Y-balance(dynamic balance), side-step(agility). One leg stance measured time, Y-balance measured distance, and side-step measured number of times. Correlation between balance and agility was used by Pearson Correlation. Results: One leg stance and side steps were shown to be not correlated. The Y balance and the side step showed with a moderate positive correlation. Conclusion: Agility is a decisive factor in fast-moving sports performance, which is generally difficult to improve with muscle strength and conditioning training. Since the correlation between dynamic balance and agility was found in this study, the importance of dynamic balance was found to improve agility to promote coordination.

  • Balance measurement is widely used in fields of physiotherapy, neurology, sport medicine and rehabilitation medicine. This paper presents the development of balance measurement and rehabilitation training system. To this end, we have developed a prototype system using an 3-axis accelerometer sensor attached to the under surface of balance board. As a results, the system is stable and shows a good degree of balance function. Also, the various patterns for rehabilitation training can be added easily. This system can be used for daily balance monitoring and will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of training.

The Estimation of Water Balance at Regional Upland According to RCP8.5 Scenario from 2011 to 2020

  • In order to evaluate water balance at upland according to RCP8.5 climate change scenario distributed by Korean Meteorological Administration (KMA), we simulated soil moisture using estimation model, called AFKAE0.5 for 66 sites from 2011 to 2020, and established the water balance maps. The amount of annual average precipitation by RCP8.5 scenario was highest in 2016 as recorded 2,062 mm and lowest in 2011 with 1,134 mm. As result of analysis for monthly precipitation and runoff, the amounts of precipitation and runoff have been especially intensive in July in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2020. Overall, the area of Kyeongbuk and Gyeonggi was estimated more dried status of soil compared with precipitation. Except 2015 and 2020, soil water balance was recorded as negative value in other years which was calculated by subtracting output from input. The status of soil moisture was the most dry in 2020 among those in other years.

  • Prototype of an electric charge/discharge balance simulator was developed for evaluation of matching charging/discharging balance between real system and simulation results for specific vehicle in this research. Battery modeling and other electric modeling were done and real car experiments were performed. Then, We developed a balance simulator on the basis of proposed model and experiment results. Also, we can analyze charging/discharging balance for specific new car as real experiments.
