Hydrate Salt법을 이용한 Nano BaTiO3 저온합성 메커니즘 (The Synthesis Mechanism of BaTiO3 Nano Particle at Low Temperature by Hydrate Salt Method)

  • $BaTiO_3$ nano powder can be synthesized by hydrate salt method at $120^{\circ}C$ in air. Decreasing the thickness of thick film, the nano dielectric particle is needed in electronic ceramics. However, the synthesis of $BaTiO_3$ nano particle at low temperature in air and their mechanism were not reported enough. And ultrasonic treatment can be tried because of low temperature process in air. Therefore, in this study, the $BaTiO_3$ nano powder was synthesised with the synthesis time and ultrasonic treatment at $120^{\circ}C$ in air. In the synthesis process, the effects of process were evaluated. From the experimental observation, the synthesis mechanism was proposed. The homogeneous $BaTiO_3$ particle was synthesised by KOH salt solution at $120^{\circ}C$ for 1hour. It was conformed that the ultrasonic treatment effected on the increase of synthesis rate. After cutting the salt powder using FIB, $BaTiO_3$ nano particles observed homogeneously in the cross-section of the salt particle.

분쇄 방법 및 하소온도에 따른 Doner-doped BaTiO3의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Donor-doped BaTiO3 Ceramics by Attrition Milling and Calcination Temperature)

  • In this study, We have been investigated the effect of calcination temperature and high-energy ball-milling of powder influences the $BaTiO_3$-based PTCR(Positive Temperature coefficient Resistance) characteristics and microstructure. The mixed powder was obtained from $BaCO_3$, $TiO_2$, $CeO_2$ ball-milled in attrition mill. The mixed powder was calcine from 1000 $^{\circ}C$ to 1200 $^{\circ}C$ in air and then it was sintered in reduction- re-oxidation atmosphere. As a result, The room-temperature electrical resistivity decreased and increased with increasing calcination temperature. specially, Attrition milled powder could have low room-temperature resistivity and high PTC jump order at 1100 $^{\circ}C$. attrition milling had lower room-temperature resistivity than ball milling. Particle size decreased by Attrition milling of powder influences in calcination temperature and room-temperature resistivity.

$BaTiO_3$계 PTC 재료에서 입계 modifier의 역할 (The role of grain boundary modifier in $BaTiO_3$ system for PTCR device)

  • 본 연구에서는 입계의 성질을 이용한 PTCR 재료에 입계 modifier로서 $Bi_2O_3$를 첨가하고 입계의 미세구조와 결함농도를 변화시켜 이에 따른 소결 및 전기적 특성변화를 TMA, XRD, 복합 임피던스방법 등을 이용하여 해석하였다. 실험 결과 Y이 도우핑된 $BaTiO_3$PTCR 재료에 $Bi_2O_3$를 첨가하였을때 약 0.1mol%까지 고용이 되는 것으로 밝혀졌다. $Bi_2O_3$를 고용한계 이하로 첨가시에는 생성되는 vacancy등의 결함으로 말미암아 $Y-BaTiO_3$의 치밀화가 촉진되었으나, 그 이상 첨가하면 치밀화 뿐만 아니라 결정립 성장도 억제되었다. $Bi_2O_3$의 첨가량에 따라 계내에 존재하는 각 이온의 반경, 결함 반응식 및 격자 탄성 변형 에너지 등을 고려하면 $Y-BaTiO_3$결정립 내부에 Ba와 Ti vacancy가 동시에 생길 수 있어 고온저항이 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. BN은 $BaTiO_3$에 고용이 되지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌으며 $B_2O_3$를 주성분으로한 액상형성으로 인하여 저온에서의 급격한 치밀화가 관찰되었다. 또 Ba-Y-Ti-B-O의 비정질 상이 tripie junction에 존재함으로써 상온저항이 크게 변화하였으며, PTCR jump도 높아졌다.

Y2O3 및 TiO2 첨가 Ba(Mg0.5W0.5)O3 세라믹스의 마이크로파 유전 특성 (Microwave Dielectric Properties of Y2O3 and TiO2-Doped Ba(Mg0.5W0.5)O3 Ceramics)

  • The phase evolution, microstructure, and microwave dielectric properties of $Ba(Mg_{0.5-2x}Y_{2x}W_{0.5-x}Ti_x)O_3$ (x = 0.005~0.05) ceramics sintered at $1,700^{\circ}C$ for 1h were investigated. All compositions exhibited a 1:1 ordered cubic perovskite structure. The field emission scanning electron microscopy image revealed a dense microstructure in all the compositions. As the value of x increased, the lattice parameter, dielectric constant, and quality factor increased. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency changed from $-19.6ppm/^{\circ}C$ to $-5.9ppm/^{\circ}C$ with increasing x value. The dielectric constant, quality factor, and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of $Ba(Mg_{0.40}Y_{0.10}W_{0.45}Ti_{0.05})O_3$ were 21.7, 132,685 GHz, and $-5.9ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • The dielectric and electrical properties of $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3-BaTiO_3$ have been investigated. Perovskite crystalline phase of the specimens is confimed by XRD. The curie temperature decrease with increasing $BaTiO_3$ and hysteresis phenomena decrease with increasement of $BaTiO_3$. The strain vs. applied voltage characteristics exhibit nonlinear relationship and the specimen. of 0.9PMN-0.08PT-0.02BT shows the largest strain.

  • Transparent glass-ceramics containing fresnoite crystals have been prepared by controlled heat treatment in $K_2O-BaO-TiO_2-SiO_2$ and their nonlinear optical and luminescent properties were investigated using Maker fringe method and Spectrofluorometer. The second harmonic generation was observed in all samples and the values decreased with increasing $K_2O$ content. The luminescence of blue light at ${\sim}482nm$ could be observed and it was shown that the luminescent property was controlled by the $K_2O$ content.

  • The glass-electroceramics were composed of glass composition(CaO, $SiO_2$, $B_2$ $O_3$) and electroceramic composition(BaO, N $d_2$ $O_3$, B $i_2$ $O_3$ and Ti $O_2$) Their dielectric properties have been investigated as a function of sintering temperature and glass contents. In the ceramics composed of 0.16BaO-0.15(N $d_{0.87}$,B $i_{0.13}$)$_2$ $O_3$-0.69Ti $O_2$with glass [EG-2782] 3wt% addition and sintered at 108$0^{\circ}C$ for 2h, we could obtain microwave properties of dielectric constant $\varepsilon$$_{r}$ = 80.1, quality factor Q $\times$f = 810(at 3.5 GHz) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency $\tau$$_{f}$ = -1.3 [ppm/$^{\circ}C$]. These experimental results show that dielectric constant and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency could be estimated by empirical equations involving the rule of mixture.e.

  • The electrical conductivity of $(M_2O_3)_x (BaTiO_3)_{1-x}$ has been measured over the temperature range of 30 to 27$0^{\circ}C$. The substitution of rare earth oxide such as $La_2O_3$, $Nd_2O_3$, or $Dy_2O_3$ can be represented by $M_2O_3$. The additional mole fraction of the rare earth oxide is ranged over 0.0015 to 0.0030. The electrical conductivity exhibits an anomalous decrease near the tetragonal to cubic transition about 12$0^{\circ}C$. The decrease in the electrical conductivity is observed at the higher impurity concentrations owing to space charge layer. The increase in the electrical conductivity is observed as the impurity ion is varied from $La^{+3}$$Nd^{+3}$ to $Dy^{+3}$, due to overlap of 4f electrons of the inner shell.
