Purpose: Bisphosphonates (BPs) are the analogues of endogenous pyrophosphates: they have been used in the treatment of skeletal diseases such as Paget's disease, osteoporosis, and tumorinducing ostelysis, and are used in treatment of osteolytic metastasis of breast cancer recently. They are also used as one of the therapeutic agents for metastasis of prostatic cancer of which metastasis makes the mixed nature of osteolysis and ostegenesis. Although the action mechanism of BPs are well known for diseases with excessive osteoclastic bone resorption, the direct effect of BPs has not been known yet. This study was intended to see the tumor suppression capability of Zoledronic acid(ZOL) using nude mouse with osteosarcoma. Materials and Methods: MG-63 and HOS osteosarcoma cell lines were used and the transforemed MG-63-GFP and HOS-GFP cells, which were made for detection under fluorescent light, were subcutaneously injected to make osteosarcoma. The five 6-week male mice were used for the experiment at each group. After the injection, mice were cultivated until tumor pieces grow up to $3{\times}3{\times}3$ $mm^3$ and ZOL of 120 ug/kg was subcutaneously injected twice a week. Sizes of tumor were measured twice a week and photographed under fluorescent light. Results: In in vivo test with HOS osteosarcoma cell lines, mean size of tumors was 2,520 $mm^3$ in control group and was 131 $mm^3$ in ZOL group, which showed 94% of reduction comparing with the control ; with MG-63 osteosarcoma cell lines, mean size of tumors was 2,866 $mm^3$ in control group and was 209 $mm^3$ in test group with 72% of reduction (p<0.05). Conclusion: In in vivo tests with nude mice, we suggest that ZOL has direct effect on osteosarcoma cells and it would be used as one of the therapeutic agents for osteosarcoma, especially to ZOL-sensitive osteosarcoma cells.

Code Excited Linear Prediction(CELP) speech coders exhibit good performance at data rates as low as 4800bps. The major drawback to CELP type paper, a comparative performance study of three pitch searching algorithms for the CELP vocoder was conducted. For each of the algorithms, a standard pitch searching algorithm was used by the sequential pitch searching algorithm that was implimented in the QCELP vocoder. The algorithms used in this study were 1) using the skip table(TABLE), 2) using the symmetrical property of the autocorrelation(SYMMT), and 3) using the preprocessing autocorrelation(PREPC). Performance scores are presented for each of the three pitch searching algorithms based on computation speed and on pitch prediction error.

Performance scores are presented for each of the five pitch searching algorithms based on computation speed and on pitch prediction error.

Functionally and physiologically active peptides are produced from several food proteins during gastrointestinal digestion and fermentation of food materials with lactic acid bacteria. Once bioactive peptides (BPs) are liberated, they exhibit a wide variety of physiological functions in the human body such as gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. These functionalities of the peptides in human health and physiology include antihypertensive, antimicrobial, antioxidative, antithrombotic, opioid, anti-appetizing, immunomodulatory and mineral-binding activities.

기업내부의 최적화를 위하여 도입 된 ERP 는 급변하는 경영환경을 반영하여 전략적 수단으로 기능하는데 까지 발전하여 왔으며, 현재에는 다른 시스템이나 경영 도구들과의 연계성이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 특히 확장된 ERP 의한 영역인 SEM(Strategic Enterprise Management)은 각 기업들이 성과평가와 시나리오 경영 등 최신 경영도구들의 본격적인 도입으로 각광받고 있으며, 경영계획 및 시뮬레이션(BPS : Business Planning & simulation), 경영 통합 및 소싱(BCS : Business Consolidation & Sourcing), 기업실적 모니터(CPM : Corporate Performance Monitor), 이해당사자 관계관리(SRM : Stakeholder Relationship Management) 등의 세부 시스템으로 구성된다. 특히 경영계획 시스템은 개선된 경영계획 프로세스 모델과 시뮬레이션을 바탕으로 구현될 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 경영계획 프로세스 모델을 바탕으로 이를 시스템화 하기 위한 경영계획 시뮬레이션 시스템 아키텍처와 User Interface를 제안하였다.

This paper represents a dual-mode type transmission technique for a high reliable narrow-band power line communication(PLC) modem, and its design and implementation of a system-on-chip(SoC). The proposed transmission technique is based on a Chirp modulation for the purpose of overcoming time variations of power line channel environments in the narrow-bandwidth of the frequency range of 95-145.5 kHz. The designed modem is fabricated utilizing a mixed 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology. Especially, according to the power line channel environments the data transmission rate can be selectively changed into 2.5 kbps and 480 bps. The total hardware complexity of the implemented chip is about 50,000 gates, the power consumption is about 26mW, and the operating frequency is up to 5.12 MHz.

As we know, gigabit ethernet is a new technology to be substituted for current fast ethernet used widely in local area network. The switch used in gigabit ethernet should deal with frames in giga-bps. To do such a fast switching, we need that serveral processes meet the budgets, such as MAC address table lookup, several giga speed path setup, fast scheduling, and etc. Especially MAC address table lookup has to be processed in the same speed with speed of incoming packets, thus the bottleneck in the process can cause packet loss by the overflow in the input buffer. We devise new practical hardware hashing method to perform fast table lookup by minimizing the number of external memory access and accelerating with hardware.

The GFSK Transceiver of 400MHz ISM band for data communication is designed and fabricated. To reduce the occupied bandwidth of transmitted signal, the GFSK modulation is selected. The measured results of fabricated transceiver show the data rate of 2400bps at 8.5kHz bandwidth, frequency deviation of less than $\pm$3kHz, sensitivity of -111dBm, SNR of 21.58dB. The fabricated transceiver is satisfied with the regulation of radio wave and has the good performance. This transceiver is well suited for data communication of 400MHz ISM band.

COMS (Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite) will be launch at end of year 2008. For receiving of COMS LRlT, KARl (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) finished design and software realization of COMS SDUS (Small Data Utilization System). SDUS is a small station receiving LRlT data for distribute satellite image, weather information, and so on. For the future project, KARl preparing COMS MDUS (Mass Data Utilization System) that can receiving large size of data over than 2M BPS (Bit Per Seconds) data size.
