토사자(兎絲子) 약침(藥鍼)이 자연발증(自然發證) 고혈압(高血壓) 백서(白鼠)의 혈압(血壓)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Aqua-acupuncture of Semen Cuscutae on the Blood Pressure in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats)

  • The aim of the experiments was to investigate the effect of Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 20(脾兪) and BL 23(賢兪) on the blood pressure, plasma renin activity, plasma levels of aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). The results of this study were as follows: 1. Systolic blood pressure was decreased significantly after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 20, BL 23. 2. Plasma renin activity was increased significantly after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at meridian point BL 23, BL 20. 3. Plasma levels of aldosterone was increased significantly after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 20. 4. Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) was increased significantly after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 23, but it was decreased significantly after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 20. These results suggest that the changes of the depressor response after Semen Cuscutae aqua-acupuncture at the meridian point BL 20, BL 23 are related to the changes of the plasma renin activity, plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and aldosterone.

푸렁통구멍 Gnathagnus elongatus 자치어의 형태 발달 (Larval Morphology of Gnathagnus elongatus (Uranoscopidae))

  • 푸렁통구멍 자치어 시료는 1997~1999년 제주도 연안에서 봉고네트와 트롤형자치어네트로 총 45개체 채집되었으며, 체장 범위는 2.7~8.7 mm였다. 이 종은 제주도 연안과 대한해협에 분포하였다. 성장에 따른 푸렁통구멍 자치어의 체형변화는 다음과 같다. 1) 지느러미의 여린줄기는 체장이 약 5 mm부터 나타나기 시작하며 체장이 약 8.7 mm에서 정수에 달하였다. 2) 흑색 소포의 변화는 체장 3 mm 전 후에서 급격하게 일어났다. 3) 미부봉상골 위아래에 일렬로 된 혹색소포는 체장 4.3 mm 이하의 크기에서 나타났다. 4) 꼬리자루에 흑색소포는 체장 6 mm부터 나타나기 시작하였다.

블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 컴퓨터 실습수업에서의 학습자 만족 연구: 콘텐츠 요인과 교수자 상호작용을 중심으로 (A Study on the Learner's Satisfaction of Computer Practice Classes by applying BL: Focusing on contents and instructor interactions)

  • BL(Blended Learning) has been presented as a promising alternative learning approach. BL is defined as a learning approach that combines e-learning and face-to-face classroom learning. The adoption of BL in computer practice class is necessary due to the characteristics of computer practice class itself. This study proposes a research model that examines the determinants of learner's satisfaction of computer practice classes in BL environment. Considering the characteristics of computer practices classes contents and instructor interaction were identified as the determinants. The research model is tested using a questionnaire survey of 141 participants. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed to test the reliability and validity of the measurements. The partial least squares (PLS) method was used to validate the measurement and hypotheses. The empirical findings shows that contents easiness and contents constructs are the primary determinants of instructor interaction in BL. Instructor interaction was also found to be related to the learner's satisfaction resulting in re-using. The findings provide insight into the planning and utilizing BL in computer practice classes to enhance learner's satisfaction.

Occurrence and Biological Control of Postharvest Decay in Onion Caused by Fungi

  • Postharvest decay of onion bulbs was examined by inspecting the commercial packages in the market or in storage. Bulb rot incidence was unexpectedly high, and onion bulbs with 1st quality grade were rotten most severely by 51%, followed by 32% for 2nd and 21% for 3rd grades. This indicates that larger bulbs had higher incidences of bulb rots. Major pathogens associated with basal and neck rots were Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus sp. or Botrytis allii, respectively, of which basal rot was most prevalent and damaging during storage. Among the epiphytic microorgani는 from onion plants, several Bacillus and Paenibacillus spp. and previously selected Pseudomonas putida and Trichoderma harzianum had inhibitory efficacy against bulb rot pathogens. Among these B. amyloliquefaciens BL-3, Paenibacillus polymyxa BL-4, and P. putida Cha 94 were highly inhibitory to conidial germination of F. oxysporum and B. allii. P. putida Cha 94, B. amyloliquefaciens BL-3, P. polymyxa BL-4, and T. harzianum TM were applied in the rhizoplane of onion at transplanting. Initially antagonist populations decreased rapidly during the first one month. However, among these antagonists, rhizoplane population densities of BL-3, Cha 94, and TM were consistently high thereafter, maintaining about 10$^4$-10$^{5}$ cells or spores per gram of onion root up to harvest time. The other bacterial antagonist BL-4 survived only for two months. TM was the most effective biocontrol agent against basal rot, with the number of rotten bulbs recorded at 4%, while that of the control was 16%. Cha 94 was effective for the first 20 days, but basal rot increased thereafter and had about the same control efficacy as that of BL-3 and BL-4. When the antagonists were applied to the topping areas of onion bulbs at harvest, TM was the most effective in protecting the stored onion bulbs from neck rotting. The second effective antagonist was BL-3. TM and BL-3 completely suppressed the neck rot in another test, suggesting that biocontrol of postharvest decay of onion using these microorganisms either at the time of transplanting or at harvesting may be promising.

흰쥐의 신맥(申脈)($BL_{62}$)에 시술한 저주파 전침자극의 항산화 효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (The Study on the Effect of Electroacupuncture at Shinmaek($BL_{62}$) on Anti-Oxidation)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the anti-oxidative effect of electroacupuncture at Shinmaek($BL_{62}$) in rats. Methods : In order to cause oxidative stress, AAPH was administered to the abdominal cavity of rats, after we stimulated $BL_{62}$ of the rat by electroacupuncture. Blood test and anti-oxidative test(LDL-cholesterol, GOT, GPT SOD, GSH, catalase, NO, MDA) were performed at the end of treatment. Results: 1. SOD, glutathione, catalase activity were significantly increased in the $BL_{62}-EA$ group compared with the holder group. 2. NO density was significantly decreased in the $BL_{62}-EA$ group compared with the holder group. 3. Glutathione was significantly increased in the $BL_{62}-EA$ group compared with the sham-EA group. Conclusion : These results suggest that electroacupuncture at $BL_{62}$ has an anti-oxidant effect in human.

Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate가 간내 Cytochrome $P_{450}$ 1A1과 2Bl 및 $CCl_4$ 유도 간독성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate on Cytochrome $P_{450}$ 1A1 and 2B1 and ${CCl_4}-Induced$ Hepatotoxicity in Rat Liver)

  • In this study, we have investigated the effect of Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate (DDB), a synthetic analogue of Schizandrin C isolated from Schizandrae Fructus on cytochrome $P_450$ lAl and 2Bl, and the protective mechanism against $CCl_4-induced$ hepatotoxicity in rat liver. After DDB was administered into male rats for different periods of time (1~7 days) and with different doses (25, 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg), mRNA levels of CYPlAl were measured by polymearse chain reaction (PCR) and assayed the activities of CYPlAl specific ethoxyresorufin-O-dealkylase (EROD) and CYP2Bl specific benzyloxyresorufin-O-dealkylase (BROD). DDB treatment resulted in increase in CYP2Bl mRNA level and BROD activity, whereas there was no change in CYPlAl mRNA level and EROD activity. This effect of DDB was time-and dose-dependent and reached maximal level by 3 day and 200 mg/kg treatment. In addition, rats were pre-treated with DDB at doses of 25, 50 or 100 mg/kg daily for 4 days, 3-hr after final treatment on the 4th day, $CCl_4$ 0.3ml/kg was intraperitonially injected into the rats to examine the effect of DDB on $CCl_4-induced$ hepatic injury. Serum levels of ALT and AST were determined and histopathological examination was done in rat liver. Furthermore, we have measured hepatic microsomal malondialdehyde(MDA) level, a parameter of lipid peroxidation. Based on serum ALT level and lipid peroxidation, pretreatment of DDB, 50 mg/kg appeared the most protective effect against $CCl_4-induced$ heapatotoxity. These results indicate that DDB stimulates CYP2Bl mRNA level and BROD activity in time and dose dependent manner and suggest that protective effect of DDB on $CCl_4-induced$ hepatotoxicity may be mediated through free radical scavenging.

Bifidobacterium longum과 자일로올리고당을 포함한 synbiotics 섭취가 건강한 성인의 변내 균총과 배변 상태에 미치는 영향 (Effect of administration of synbiotics mixture containing Bifidobacterium longum and xylooligosaccharide on fecal microbiota and defecation characteristics in healthy volunteers)

  • 본 연구는 probiotics와 prebiotics로 구성된 synbiotics 섭취가 건강한 성인의 배변 활동 및 변내 균총의 개선 효과를 확인하고자 하였고, probiotics 섭취 중단 후에도 prebiotics인 XOS 섭취가 장내 유익균총의 유지에 미치는 영향을 파악함으로써 XOS의 건강기능성 확인을 위한 근거자료를 확보하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과 BL2XO6군과 BL2XO2군의 체위 자료는 두 군 간에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 변내 pH는 시료 섭취 전 두 군 모두 7.0이하로 약 산성이었으나, 시료 섭취 1주차 BL2XO6군에서 pH 7.16으로 유의적으로 높았으나 2주차 이후는 pH 7.0 이하의 값을 보여 시료 섭취에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 변내 균총의 변화를 보면 BL2XO6군의 경우 Clostridium spp. 은 시료 섭취 후 변 내 균 수가 감소하는 양상을 보인 반면, Bifidobacterium spp.은 시료 섭취 후 서서히 증가하는 양상을 보여 4주차에 시료 섭취 전에 비해 유의적으로 높았으나, 이외 주차에서는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. B. longum은 모든 주차에서 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나 서서히 증가하는 추이를 보였다. BL2XO2군의 경우 시료 섭취 후 Lactobacillus spp.과 B. longum은 synbiotics 섭취 1주에만 증가하는 추이를 보였다. 각 주차별로 변 내 균총의 변화율에서 군별로 유의적인 차이를 보인 균총은 Clostridium spp.와 Lactobacillus spp.이었다. 즉, Clostridium spp.은 2주차에서, Lactobacillus spp.는 4주차에서 BL2XO6군과 BL2XO2군 사이에서 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 시료 섭취 전·후 Bacteroidetes와 Firmicutes의 비율은 두 군 모두 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 시료 섭취 전·후의 변의 양, 변의 상태 및 배변 횟수, 복통 및 CSS점수에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았을 뿐만 아니라 군에 따른 차이 역시 존재하지 않았다. 이상의 결과 synbiotics 섭취 후 prebiotics만을 섭취할지라도 장내 균총의 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있을 뿐만이 아니라 정상적인 배변 활동을 유지하고 있어 synbiotics 섭취 후 prebiotics로 XOS 섭취는 자일로올리고당을 선택적으로 이용할 수 있는 B. longum을 장내에서 지속적으로 증식할 수 있도록 도와 장내 균총을 개선하는 효과와 정상적인 배변활동을 통한 장 건강에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

척수연화증 개에서 전통 수의학적 방법을 이용한 치료 시도: 증례 보고 (Therapeutic Approach by Traditional Veterinary Medicine in a Case with Canine Myleomalacia: Case Report)

  • 4년령의 중성화한 수컷 코커 스파니엘이 후지 마비와 진전 때문에 내원 하였다. 본 환축은 X-ray와 MRI를 이용하여 추간판탈출증이 합병된 척수연화증으로 진단되었다. 환축의 치료를 위하여 봉독 약침, 뜸 및 한약제의 투여를 이용하였다. 사용 혈위는 GV02-1, GV04, GV11, GV12, GV13, GV14, BL11, BL18, BL23, BL25, BL28, GB21, HT07, KI03, LI04, LU07, SI03, SI06, ST36, ST38, ST39, ST40, ST41, GB30, GB31, GB34, LIV03, SP06 및 압통점($T1{\sim}T4\;and\;T9{\sim}L1$) 이었다. 그 결과, 1차 치료 시 환축은 기립이 불가능하였으며, 사지를 움직이지 못하였다. 그러나 7차, 14차 및 21차 치료 시 점차적인 임상증상의 개선이 관찰되었다. 비록 한방수의학적 방법으로 임상 증상이 완치된 것은 아니지만, 21차 치료 후 임상증상이 일부 호전된 증례이었다.

  • From documentary comparative study on the chief virtues of the Back-Su(兪) points and the Front-Mo(募) points, the following results are obtained : 1. Contrast the Back-Su(兪) points with the Front-Mo(募) points, the needle-steadying depth of the Front-Mo(募) points is deeper than that of the Back-Su(兪) points. and Moxibustion dosage of the Front-Mo(募) points is more than that of the Back-Su(兪) points. 2. In the case of Kimun(LR14) and Kansu(BL18), Kergwol(CV12) and Shimsu(BL15), Chungwan(CV12) and Wisu(BL21), Kyungmun(GB25) and Shinsu(BL23), the Back-Su(兪) points can be chiefly used for the treatment of acute disease, external disease, exess disease and Jang(臟)-disease. contrary the Front-Mo(募) points can be chiefly used for the treatment of chronic disease, internal disease, deficiency disease and Bu(腑)-disease. 3. In the case of Kwangwon(CV4) and Sojangsu(BL27), Serkmoon(CV5) and Samchosu(BL22), Changmun(LR13) and Bisu(BL20), Chungbu(LV1) and Pesu(BL20), Chungguk(CV3) and Banggwangsu(BL28), the Front-Mo(募) points can be used for the treatment of unbalanced visceral funtion. contrary the Back-Su(兪) points can be used for not only the treatment of unbalanced visceral funtion but also the treatment of attached organs. 4. The Back-Su(兪) points can be used for the treatment of acute disease, external disease, exess disease, Jang(臟)-disease and attached organs-disease. contrary the Front-Mo(募) points can be chiefly used for the treatment of chronic disease, internal disease, deficiency disease, and Bu(腑)-disease.

  • Objectives : This study is aimed to investigate acupuncture treatments for blurred vision, tinnitus, difficulty in urination and bi-syndrome caused by aging process through oriental medical documents. methods : We researched 21 oriental medical classics for the acupuncture treatments of blurred vision, tinnitus, difficulty in urination and bi-syndrome caused by aging or deficiency. Results & conclusions : 1. Disharmony between yin and yang, disharmony between organs, disharmony of essence, qi, spirit, blood and body fluid are the main features of aging. 2. ST36, BL18, BL10, CV24, ST1, BL23 have been most frequently used for acupuncture to treat blurred vision caused by aging. For moxibustion, ST36 has been most frequently used. 3. GB2, TE21, TE17, SI19, TE3 are the mainly used points for acupuncture to treat tinnitus and deafness caused by aging. For moxibustion, LI1 and BL15 have been most frequently used. 4. CV3, CV7, CV4, BL67, LR8, LR4 have been most frequently used to treat difficulty in urination caused by aging. 5. LI11, GB34, GB30, LI4, ST36, TE10, TE5, Sama (extra point) have been most frequently used to treat numbness, paralysis and bi syndrome caused by aging.
