발파굴착의 암반손상이 터널안정성에 미치는 영향분석 (Effect of Rock Damage Induced by Blasting on Tunnel Stability)

  • Rock damage induced by blasting can not be avoided during tunnel construction and may affect tunnel stability. But the mutual interaction between tunnel blasting design and tunnel stability design is generally not considered. Therefore this study propose a methodology to take into considration the results of the blasting damage in tunnel stability design. Rock damage is evaluated by dynamic numerical analysis for the most common blasting pattern adopted in road tunnel. Damage zone is determined by using the continuum damage model which is expressed as a function of volumetric strain. And the damage effect is taken into account by the damaged rock stiffness and the damaged failure criteria in tunnel stability assessment. The extend of plastic zone and deformation increase compared to the case of not considering blast-induced rock damage.

  • The Climate Change has been emerged as one of the most important social and economic issues and is affecting our daily life. The Post-Kyoto Protocol aims to reduce GHG(Greenhouse Gas) emission and mitigate climate change. Under this protocol, developed countries which are classified as Annex I implements programmes and strategies confronting against the climate change. South Korea has set voluntary GHG reduction goal of 30% reduction compared to BAU(Business As Usual) in 2020 and prepares National GHG inventory system and Negotiated Agreements(NA) with industries. It will affect seriously to industry and transport sector and its obligation to reduce GHG emission will be strengthened gradually. Therefore, there will be large impact on industry structure. In Korea, various strategies against climate change are being prepared as researches of development of GHG emission reduction technologies and integrated GHG emission management system in transport sector. In this study, strategy on climate change in transport sector is proposed by being based on developed countries' respond to climate change in transport sector.

  • Greenhouse gas and energy reduction goal management system is announced to reduce national CO2 emission in 2011. The target business sector of the system has to follow the procedure of the system and get the assessment. The percentage of the national CO2 reduction goad is 30 % compared to the amounts of BAU. In railway business sector, 6 bodies are included in this system so that railway industry cannot stay and sustain its better position any more than other transportation industry. Most of the industry except Railway industry is struggling to develop its product more environmentally friendly and get the 3rd party certification like Eco-labelling and Carbon footprint. To get environmental certification, LCA method has to be applied because life cycle approach is needed to respond current environmental requirement. The purpose of this project is to facilitate railway vehicle manufacturer obtaining the environmental certification termed Korea EPD. By doing so, the environmental performance evaluation tool would be developed and modelled within the LCA framework and therefore applied especially for rail vehicle.

A Study for the Measurement of a fluid Density in a ripe Using Elastic Waves

  • The effect of liquid confined in a pipe on elastic waves propagating in the pipe wall was studied theoretically and experimentally. The axisymmetric motion of the wave was modeled with the cylindrical membrane shell theory. The liquid pressure satisfying the axisymmetric wave equation was included in the governing equation as a radial load. The phase speed of the wave propagating in the axial direction was calculated, accounting for the apparent mass of the liquid. Experiments were performed in a pipe equipped with ring-shaped, piezoelectric transducers that were used for transmitting and receiving axisymmetric elastic waves in the pipe wall. The measured wave speeds were compared with the analytical ones. This work demonstrates the feasibility of using pipe waves for the determination of the density and, eventually, the flow rate of the liquid in a pipe.

  • Up to now, practical engineers applying simplicity value of rockfall block weight suggested in design manual without considering in-situ rockfall block weight which reflect joint characteristics. However, the size of rockfall block varies with joint spacing of discontinuities and influences over rockfall analysis results. In this paper, we estimate realistic rockfall block weight distribution using statistical invariances of joint spacing derived from scan-line survey result. And, we study whether this distribution is applicable in practical rockfall analysis directly. As the results of this study, rockfall analysis results that using rockfall block weight distribution estimated from scan-line survey show resonable and realistic outcomes.

Antitumor Components from Naematoloma fasciculare

  • The bioassay-guided fractionation of MeOH extract from Naematoloma fasciculare afforded a petroleum ether fraction (NFPF) and four known compounds, which showed good antitumor activities to inhibit MCF-7 cell line proliferation in vitro and tumor growth in $H_{22}$ implanted mice in vivo. In addition, a number of unsaturated aliphatic acids were identified in NFPF by GC analysis. These results showed that NFPF inhibits tumor growth through the activity of unsaturated aliphatic acids together with two active compounds, ergosterol peroxide (1: 62.17 mg/g in NFPF) and ergosterol (2: 3.13 mg/g in NFPF), and indicate the potential utility of NFPF as an antitumor drug.

The use of topology optimization in the design of truss and frame bridge girders

  • It is shown that topology optimization is a valuable tool for the design of bridge girders. This paper is a follow-up to (Kuty${\l}$owski and Rasiak 2014) and it includes an analysis of truss members' outer dimensions dictated by the standards. Moreover, a frame bridge girder mapped from a selected topology is compared with a typical frame girder on the basis of (Kuty${\l}$owski and Rasiak 2014). The analysis shows that topology optimization by means of the proposed algorithm yields a topology from which one can map a frame bridge girder requiring less material for its construction than the typical frame girder currently used in bridge construction.

  • This study deals with the design of bridge girder structures and consists of two parts. In the first part an optimal bridge girder topology is determined using a software based on structure compliance minimization with constraints imposed on the body mass, developed by the authors. In the second part, an original way in which the topology is mapped into a bridge girder structure is shown. Additionally, a method of converting the thickness of the bars obtained using the topology optimization procedure into cross sections is introduced. Moreover, stresses and material consumption for a girder design obtained through topology optimization and a typical truss girder are compared. Concluding, this paper shows that topology optimization is a good tool for obtaining optimal bridge girder designs.

법령과고시(2) - 제1차 녹색건축물 기본계획 수립

  • 국토교통부(장관 서승환)는 녹색건축물조성지원법의 후속조치로 지난해 12월 31일 제1차 녹색건축물 기본계획을 발표했다. 정부는 기본계획에 따라 2020년까지 건축물에서 배출되는 온실가스를 배출전망치(BAU) 대비 26.9% 감축 목표를 수립했다. 특히 정부는 녹색건축물의 보급과 육성을 비전으로 ${triangle}$신축 건축물의 에너지 기준 강화 ${triangle}$기존 건축물의 에너지 효율개선 촉진 ${triangle}$건축물 사용자의 에너지 절약 유도 ${triangle}$녹색건축 기술개발 및 인프라 구축 등 4대 추진전략과 10개 정책과제를 도출했다. 이번 녹색건축물조성지원법 수립을 통해 고효율 설비 의무화 등 기계설비를 확대 반영하여 기계설비업계 발전의 토대가 마련됐다. 향후 정책과제 추진에 따라 녹색건축 설비 및 시공품질 강화, 그린리모델링 활성화, 녹색건축 전문기업 및 전문인력 육성을 비롯한 기계설비분야 기술개발 촉진 등으로 구체화될 전망이다.

친환경농업 - 녹색기술 영농법으로 탄소배출 줄인다.

  • 오늘날 지구온난화현상이 심각한 환경문제로 대두되어, 1988년 IPCC 발족, 1994년 '기후변화협약' 발효를 통해 온실가스 배출을 저감하고 기후변화에 공동 대응을 모색하기 위한 범지구적 노력을 기울이고 있다. 우리나라도 2020년까지 온실가스 배출량을 감축목표를 BAU(business as usual:온실가스 감축을 위한 행동을 하지 않았을 때의 자연적인 배출변화량) 대비 30%로 결정한 바 있으며, 농업부문도 온실가스 감축기술을 개발하여 농업 현장에 널리 보급할 필요가 있다. 농업부분 온실가스 배출량은 1,840만 $CO_2$톤(2007)으로 산정되어 국가 전체 발생량의 2.9%에 해당한다. 이 중 경종부분이 65%, 축산부분이 35%인데, 경종부분 온실가스의 대부분은 벼농사가 차지하므로 벼농사에 있어서 온실가스 감축이 시급한 것으로 나타났다.
