  • In this paper, we designed axis-displaced Gregorian antenna by using Ray-tracing method. This antenna improves gain, VSWR by rotating the axis of the sub-reflector to get rid of E-field wave returned from sub-reflector to feed horn. Therefore it reduce the sub-reflector size and the volume of antenna. This method is used to track the propagation path for radiation pattern of feed horn from feed horn to sub-reflector, main-reflector and air. We get E-field distribution of this antenna aperture and calculate antenna radiation pattern and optimize the antenna performance. The Ray-tracing Method was verified because the gain, radiation patterns, side lobe level, beam width and return loss of the designed antenna are very similar to CST simulation result and a measured result of the fabricated antenna.

  • We design a displaced-axis Gregorian dual antenna in the form of a metal reflectarray antenna for millimeter wave region, W-band. Unlike a reflectarray composed of printed patch antennas on a dielectric substrate, metallic rectangular waveguide unit-cells are proposed to avoid the loss of substrate and take an advantage of ease of typical metal machining fabrication. In this paper, the radiation characteristics of constructed metal reflectarray antennas show ultra high-gain antenna over 50 dBi at a target frequency in W-band. The experimental measurements are conducted in millimeter-wave compact range antenna measurement system.

  • In this paper, we propose a Axially displaced ellipse gregorian antenna with conical feed horn operating in Ku-band. For fast searching satellite position, it is designed the sub-reflector rotates about $1.5^{\circ}$ tilted by the central axis. the curvature and feed center of the main-reflector and sub-reflector are optimized to achieve maximum antenna efficiency. The designed reflector antenna shows the gain of 33dB and the cross polarization level of less than -21dB and the side-lobe level of less than -14 dB at 12.2 GHz. and C/N ratio of 19dB is proved by reception experiment of Koreasat with fabricated antenna.
