교통안전교육 전 . 후의 지식, 태도 및 실천에 관한 비교 연구 -초등학교 4학년 학생을 대상으로- (A Comparative Study of knowledge, attitude, and practice by Before-after trafffic safety education : focusing on the 4th grade student in elementary school)

  • Increase of automobiles become today's environmental problem decreasing space for our children's playground. The traffic situation around us shows automobiles over filled the public roads and started to intrude even on the side walks. Children's traffic safety education for the awareness of the danger from traffic mishaps, and for the behavior to cope with preventives measure by continual learning programs in systematized method is very important need in current health education. For this research, the subject was represented by 243 students from 4th grade in D Elementary School located at Daechi-dong, Seoul. During total of 5 weeks (September 4, 1997 to September 30, 1997), lessons were taught to the subject. Lessons consist of traffic safety education and customized education program that were designed and developed specificially for the subject level. In this research, Case group of 3 classes and control group of 3classes were predetermined before subject's degree of knowledge, attitude, and practice was analized. The difference before and after the training of this education was observed to verify the effectively and to find the influential factors of this education program. On September 2-3, survey study was performed after the training. the results of this study were as follows: 1. The knowledge analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored(8.36, 8.86) before the traning, but scored(10.36, 8.52) after the traning. the difference from the result of the case group is statistically significant(p〈0.001). 2. The attitude analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored(48.23, 49.87) before the training, but scored (51.05, 48.45) after the traning. the difference from the result of the case group is statistically significant(p〈0.001) 3. The practice analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored (27.42, 28.08) before the training, but scored(30.49, 28.25) after the training. The differece from the result of the case group is statistically significant (p〈0.001). 4. The correlation analysis of traffic safety education's influence on traffic safety knowledge, attitude, and practice before training shows the relationship between attitude and practice was satistically significant(p〈0.05). The result after the training shows the relationship between knowledge and attitude, attitude and practice, and knowledge and practice was all statistically significant(p〈0.001).

한국에서의 건강영향평가 도입 방안 (Introduction Scheme of Health Impact Assessment in Korea)

  • Korea has 30 years of experiences in environmental impact assessment (EIA). Although EIA includes sanitation-public health factor, considering health impacts, among 74 unit projects of 17 sections, health impacts haven't been properly considered or have been ignored in many cases. The increasing awareness on the importance of health impacts has triggered this study to seek an optimal introduction scheme of health impact assessment (HIA). The processes of EIA already include screening, scoping, analysis, impact assessment, consultation, document review, decision making and monitoring, in which they would be the essential parts of HIA. In this context, integrating HIA into the existing EIA process could be the most effective way to use the benefits in both legal and procedural processes existed and to avoid the confusion and overlapping since the close relationships between environment and health impacts might be. Furthermore, it is desirable that the existing sanitation-public health factor should be substituted by and extended to environment-health factor with sufficient determinants to properly consider health impacts. When considering the first step of HIA, the prospective and qualitative approach is suitable more than the retrospective and quantitative one due to the lack of database accumulated. Similarly, an approach based on epidemiology and toxicology could analyze the limited evidences and impacts related to human disease, whereas one based on socio-science and psychology could provide the effective means available for predicting how the people and community will act by the change of surroundings. Checklist approach with various and comprehensive health determinants focused on prospective and qualitative methods will be very useful for more convenient and progressive dissemination of HIA. Various checklist approaches of toolkits could be found from HIA documents elsewhere, for example Westminster Toolkit, and they would be helpful to figure out how to develop common procedures and health determinants for checklist, in which the unique characteristics on korean cultural and political context compared to abroad should be carefully considered since checklist would be the most basic and essential part of HIA. After the establishment of checklist and procedural processes, the pilot projects should be conducted. Main purpose of pilot projects is to apparently prove the effectiveness and profitability of HIA. Pilot projects should be implemented to decide the effectiveness and suitability of HIA for future projects, programs and policies, and should be provided as the positive cases that can be achieved through the proper implementation and progress.

관심중심수용모형(CBAM)을 활용한 초등교사의 SW교육 관심도 및 실행수준 분석 (An Investigation of Teachers' Stages of Concern and Levels of Use about SW Education Based on Concerns-Based Adoption Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등교사의 SW교육에 대한 관심도 및 실행수준을 관심중심수용모형(Concerns-Based Adoption Model)을 통해 분석하여 SW교육의 지속적인 현장 적용을 위한 교사교육에서의 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현직 초등학교 교사 152명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 수집된 데이터를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초등교사의 SW교육에 대한 관심도는 0단계(지각)부터 2단계(개인) 측면의 관심이 높은 초기 관심 단계를 보이고 있었다. 현재 SW교육을 실행하고 있는 교사는 현장에서 SW교육을 단기적으로 시행하는 것에 집중하는 기계적 실행과 일상화 수준에 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 실행하고 있지 않은 교사의 과반수는 SW교육을 실행하기 위한 의도가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 성별, 교직경력, SW연수경험, SW교수경험에 따라 교사의 SW교육 관심단계에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 담당학년, SW연수경험, SW교수경험에 따라 SW교육 실행수준에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 현직 초등학교 교사들의 SW교육 관심 변화를 촉진하기 위한 방안을 교사를 대상으로 한 다양한 SW교육 제공 및 교수경험 확대의 측면에서 제안하였다.

지역사회 치매관리 모형 개발 : 광명시의 경우 (Development of Dementia Care Model in a Community)

  • There has been a dramatic increase in public awareness regarding dementia during recent years. However, dementia remains a family affair and patients do not receive adequate care in Korea. This study aims to assist patients and their caregivers by establishing Home and Community based Long-Term Care in a city. The data collected for analysis include five main categories: dementia prevalence, limitations of daily activities of patients, burden of caregivers, the services that patient's family want to utilize, the resources that handle dementia in the community. Major findings can be summarized as follows: 1)The prevalence rate of dementia for elderly people is 13.1 per 100 persons. Alzheimer's disease amount to 38.9% of dementia patients and vascular dementia account for 36.7% of them 2)Eight out of ten patients have mild dementia. Almost all patients have normal ADL. IADL, however, shows different picture. In every items of IADL, about 60% of patients reveals some limitations. 3)The proportion of patients who had medical diagnosis is as low as 20%. Families of patients think dementia as normal aging process and medical doctors in the community do not give special concern to dementia patients. 4)Caregivers does not have proper social support. They suffer from long care time, experience large obstacles in respect of health, daily living, and social activity. 5)Health center and Community welfare center have launched some programs-consultation, home-visiting nursing, day care center, voluntary force mobilization and so on-for dementia patients. But they do not perform expected roles and functions because of lack of skilled personnels and inadequate coordination of relevant organizations for dementia care. 6)Families of dementia patients prefer home helper and home-visiting nurse to hospitalization. For the future, however, demand for institution-based long-term services will increase. We develope community dementia care model based on above findings as follows: 1)Health center execute community cardiovascular control program for the prevention of vascular dementia. 2)Refer to epidemiologic characteristics of patients and preference of family, the most urgent task for dementia care in this city is to expand and organize Home and Community based Long-Term Care. 3)For the continuous and comprehensive care, care plan for a patient must be prepared. Case management team should be builded to prepare this plan and coordinate relevant resources. 4)Special long-term care unit for dementia will be needed in a near future. This unit should have multiple functions, such as day-care center, short stay facility, training center for relevant personnels, besides long-term nursing home considering effective care of dementia and efficient operation of the facility. 5)Voluntary workers deserve their due efforts. Incentive mechanisms must be developed to activate voluntary activities.

종합병원 간호사의 재난대처교육, 지식, 재난대처능력간 상관관계 (Correlation among Nurses' Educational Status, Knowledge and Disaster Preparedness Abilities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 종합병원 간호사의 재난대처교육에 대한 인식과 실태, 재난대처능력에 대한 지식과 지식의 정확성에 대한 확실성, 재난대처능력 간의 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구 방법으로 한 도시에 100병상 이상의 종합병원에서 3개월 이상의 근무 경험을 가진 총 125명의 간호사를 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 수집은 2016년 1월에 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 21.0을 사용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient에 의해 분석하였다. 재난대처교육에 대한 인식 평균평점은 5점 만점에 자연재해 $3.69{\pm}0.63$, 대량인명사고 $4.07{\pm}0.60$, 감염병 $4.31{\pm}0.58$로 나타났다. 간호사의 재난대처능력은 원내 재난교육 실시여부(r=.29, p=.001), 최근 1년 이내 재난교육 이수여부(r=.33, p<.001)와 지식의 정확성에 대한 확신정도(r=.23, p=.003)와 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타낸 반면, 재난에 대한 지식(r=-.27, p=.003)과 유의한 음의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 즉, 소속 기관 내에서 자체적으로 재난대처교육을 실시하는 경우와 그를 이수한 간호사의 경우 재난대처능력이 높아 재난대처에 대한 주기적 교육의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로, 간호사의 재난대처능력 향상을 위해 더 강한 교육적 대처와 실제적 교육이 필요하다고 본다.

일부지역 치위생(학)과 학생들의 교내·외 임상실습만족도와 전공만족도에 관한 조사연구 (Study of On- and Off-Campus Clinical Practice Satisfaction and Major Satisfaction among Dental Hygiene Students in Some Regions)

  • 본 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생들의 실습수준을 향상시키고, 개선하여 실습 후에 전공에 대한 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하고자 충청지역 소재 대학 치위생(학)과 재학생을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 수집은 2012년 12월부터 2013년 4월까지 수행하였고, 수집된 자료 중 응답이 불성실한 13부의 설문지를 제외한 766부를 SPSS/Win18.0을 사용하여 최종 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 교내 외 실습경험군은 각각 59.7%, 57.4%이었고, 실습 장소는 치과대학 병원, 병(의)원급, 보건소 순이었다. 학제의 경우 4년제가 3년제 보다 실습내용, 실습시간, 실습수행 요인에서 교내 실습만족도가 높았고, 학년이 높을수록 실습시간에 대한 만족도가 높았다. 교외 실습만족도는 4년제가 3년제 보다 모든 요인에서 만족도가 높았고, 학년이 높을수록 실습시간과 실습수행 요인에서 만족도가 높았다. 교내 외 실습경험에서 실습 경험군이 비경험군에 비해 전공만족도가 전반적으로 높았고, 실습수행, 실습시간, 실습환경, 실습내용 모든 요인이 전공만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 교내 외 실습교육을 통해 전공에 대한 자부심을 가질 수 있도록 학생들에 대한 이해와 인식을 통해 만족할 수 있는 교육을 계획하고, 실시하여 임상실습이 최적의 학습상황이 될 수 있도록 효율적인 프로그램과 임상실습에 대한 교육지침의 마련이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Knowledge Level of Working and Student Nurses on Cervical Cancer and Human Papilloma Virus Vaccines

  • Purpose: To determine knowledge levels of working and student nurses about cervical cancer and prophylactic cancer vaccines. Materials and Methods: This study was performed on 259 nursing students in the Department of Nursing and 137 nurses working in Health Research and Practice Center, approved to participate in the study between April-June 2012. The study was performed universally without selecting a sample. A questionnaire that was prepared for evaluating participants' knowledge and attitudes about human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine was distributed to the nurses and data obtained from the forms were transferred to SPSS 15.00 program and statistically analyzed. Results: It was found that 54.8% of the student nurses were between 21-24 years old and 13.1% of working students were between 25-28 years old. When student nurses and working nurses were compared in terms of their knowledge about the causes of cervical cancer, their ideas about prevention from cervical cancer with HPV vaccine, their ideas about possible risks of HPV vaccine and conservation ratios of HPV vaccine, it was observed that there were no statistically significant differences (p>0.05). When student nurses and working nurses were compared in terms of the information-source about HPV, ways of HPV contamination, awareness about people who are susceptible to HPV contamination and age of HPV vaccination, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). Conclusions: It was found that all nurses had some knowledge about cervical cancer and HPV vaccine, but this was not sufficient. Therefore; it is recommended to use verbal, written and visual communication tools intensively in order to have topics on cervical cancer, early diagnosis and prevention in bachelor and master programs for nurses, to inform society about cervical cancer and HPV vaccine for public health and to teach precautions for its prevention.

Perception of Patients with Cancer towards Support Management Services and Use of Complementary Alternative Medicine - a Single Institution Hospital-Based Study in Saudi Arabia

  • Background: To evaluate the perception of cancer patients toward treatment services and influencing factors and to inquire about the use of complementary alternative medicine (CAM). Materials and Methods: Information was obtained through pre-tested structured questionnaires completed by cancer patients during treatment at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Results: Of 242 patients, 137 (64.6%) accepted to enter this study. Most were Saudi (n=93, 68%), female (n=80, 58%), educated at university (n=71, 52%), married (n=97, 72%) and with breast cancer (n=36, 26%). One-hundred (73%) patients were satisfied with the services provided; 61% were Saudi. Ninety-four (68%) respondents were satisfied with the explanation of their cancer. Twenty-eight (21.6%) patients received CAM, of them 54.0% received herbal followed by rakia (21.0%), nutritional supplements/vitamins (7.0%) and Zamam water (18.0%), with significant differences among them (p =0.004). Seven (5%) patients believed this therapy could be used alone; 34 (25%) patients believed it could be used with other treatments, regardless of whether they themselves used this therapy. Fifty-three (53%) satisfied patients felt they received enough support; 31 (58%) patients received support from family and friends; 22 (41.6%) patients received support from the health-care team. Patients who received information about their disease from their physicians and those who felt they had enough support were more satisfied. The patients who took alternative treatment were older age, mostly female and highly educated but values did not reach significance. Conclusions: We stress enhancing the educational and supportive aspects of cancer-patient services to improve their treatment satisfaction and emphasize the need for increasing the educational and awareness programs offered to these patients.

학부모가 인식한 유아 인성교육 실태 및 요구 (The Parents Recognized Early Childhood Personality Character Education Conditions and Requirements)

  • 본 연구는 학부모가 인식한 유아 인성교육 실태 및 요구를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. D광역시 거주하며, 공 사립유치원을 다니는 학부모 170명을 대상으로 연구에서 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS 통계프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석과 백분율, 다중응답 교차분석과 카이검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 부모님들의 유아 인성교육의 관심과 필요성에 대해서는 가장 높게 인식했으며 관심도 또한 가장 높았다. 전인교육과 유아 인성교육의 개념을 같은 맥락에서 해석하고 있음을 알 수 있었으며 유아 인성교육에 대한 개념과 내용의 이해는 전체적으로 이해하고 있었다. 둘째, 가정에서의 유아 인성교육 실태를 알아본 결과 가정에서도 인성교육이 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 가정에서 실시하는 유아 인성교육의 집중 및 활동분야는 기본생활습관과 일상생활지도 였으며 이러한 활동은 이야기나누기를 통해 이루어지고 있었다. 가정에서 유아 인성교육의 활동은 책을 통해 이루어지고 있었으며 활동정도는 낮은 편이었고 이러한 원인중 하나는 '어떻게 하는지 몰라서' 인성교육의 방법과 정보의 부족이었다. 셋째, 유아 인성교육의 부모참여에 대한 필요성은 무엇인가를 알아본 결과 유아 인성교육에 대한 부모교육 참여가 이루어져야 하고 유아 인성교육을 위한 부모교육의 프로그램으로 생활지도 프로그램이 실시되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

유방암 생존자들의 자가관리에 대한 현상학적 연구: 비약물적 접근방법을 중심으로 (The phenomenological study of self-management intervention among breast cancer survivors: Non-pharmacological approaches)

  • 본 연구는 현상학적 방법을 적용하여 유방암 생존자들의 비약물적 추후 관리 경험에 대한 본질적 구조와 의미에 대해 심도 있게 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이번 연구에서 총 참여자는 10명으로 S시 E병원 외래에 정기적으로 내원하는 유방암 생존자로 수술, 화학요법, 방사선요법을 완료한 자들이었다. 자료수집 기간은 2014년 8월부터 2015년 2월까지로 수집된 자료는 심층면담 후 Colaizzi의 방법 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 7개의 주제와 16개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 7개의 주제는 '1. 증상을 완화하기 위해 용이한 방법을 적용함, 2. 변화된 신체 상태를 위해 움직이려 함, 3. 재발 방지를 위해 특정 식용 작물을 섭취함, 4. 건강을 유지하기 위한 식생활 양식이 있음, 5. 보완대체요법에 대해 항상 예의주시함, 6. 주치의 처방외 필요한 치료가 있음, 7. 자연친화적인 환경에서의 삶을 지향함' 이었다. 이번 연구는 유방암 생존자들이 치료 후에 일상생활에서 어떻게 추후관리를 하는지 심도있게 파악하는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. 나아가 본 결과는 향후 유방암 생존자들에게 실제 관리 양식에 근거한 실행 가능한 지침과 프로그램을 제공하는데 있어 기초자료로써 제공될 것이다.
