복합표면처리된 CrN박막의 밀착력에 미치는 스퍼터링 효과에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effect of Sputtering Process on the Adhesion Strength of CrN Films Synthesized by a Duplex Surface Treatment Process)

  • In this study, effect of sputtering after plasma nitriding and before PVD coating on the microstucture, microhardness, surface roughness and the adhesion strength of CrN thin films were investigated. Experimental results showed that this sputtering process not only removed surface compound layer which formed during a plasma nitriding process but also induced an alteration of the surface of plasma nitrided substrate in terms of microhardness distribution and surface roughness, which in turn affected the adhesion strength of PVD coatings. After sputtering, microhardness distribution showed general decrease and the surface roughness became increased slightly. The critical shear stress measured from the scratch test on the CrN coatings showed an approximately twice increase in the binding strength through the sputtering prior to the coating and this could be attributed to a complete removal of compound layer from the plasma nitrided surface and to an increase in the surface roughness after sputtering.

  • Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has had a significant impact on our society as a whole. The COVID-19 pandemic is not only a health crisis, it is also an economic, social and humanitarian crisis. Considering the dramatic global economic and social impact that the crisis has engendered, the aviation system is standing on the doorstep of rapid transformation. In particular, the impact on the aviation and travel industries is enormous. Air travel to most countries has been suspended and blocked. Looking at Korea's current situation, COVID-19 has wholly changed the aviation industry. As COVID-19 spreads around the world, countries have come up with aviation safety measures. Infectious disease safety measures were established to protect passengers and crew members, and countries with collapsed medical systems extended the validity period for aviation medical examinations. In Korea, on August 11, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport provided guidance on medical measures related to COVID-19 through an official letter of "Notification of cautions for pilots and air traffic control officers (ATCO) when COVID-19 is confirmed". Overseas countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom have announced regulations for aviation medical examination regulations in relation to COVID-19, and have set standards for returning to aviation after COVID-19 is confirmed. In this paper, we would like to investigate the regulations for aviation medical examination related to COVID-19.

미국과 유럽의 항공기 기술표준품 인증절차에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Certification Procedures for Technical Standard Order Authorization of USA and Europe)

  • The Technical Standard Order articles are the parts and appliances for which the civil aviation authority designates as it is necessary to standardize for the expedited certification process and aviation safety. TSO articles were used on the type certified aircraft as replacement parts in the early days of TSO authorization system, but those articles are widely used on the newly developed aircraft as well in these days. In this paper, we compared the differences of the TSO authorization systems between FAA and EASA, and proposed the rulemaking items to improve Korean TSO authorization system and to contribute to growth of aviation industry.

  • 항공기 개발 및 개조를 위한 비행시험 또는 항행안전시설 및 관련 구성품 개발을 위한 비행 검사 등을 위한 목적으로 국가종합 비행성능시험장 구축이 추진되고 있다. 비행시험 업무는 특성상 안전 리스크가 높기 때문에 운용에 앞서 철저한 리스크 관리 프로세스의 엄격한 적용이 요구되고 있다. 또한 비행시험장은 현행법상으로 비행장 규정을 적용받기 때문에 안전관리시스템을 도입하면 일반 공항처럼 안전이 제고될 것이다. ICAO 기준을 기반으로 한 안전관리시스템 구축은 비행시험장의 안전하고 원활한 운영을 위한 최적의 보증 수단으로서, 비행시험 시에 발생할 수 있는 리스크를 크게 완화할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 비행시험장 안전관리에 요구되는 리스크 평가 및 완화 방안을 중점적으로 다루었다. 이전 연구에서 식별된 비행시험 위해요인에 대하여 리스크 평가를 실시하였다. 그리고 고 리스크 군의 위해요인을 선별한 후 회피, 감소, 수용, 통제 등의 리스크 완화 기법을 적용한 비행시험 리스크 경감 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 일반적으로 전자파 환경시험은 외부 전자기 환경의 영향을 배제하기 위하여 전자파 차폐룸에서 시험을 수행하지만, 시험체의 크기가 너무 크거나, 배기가스를 방출하는 등의 제약이 있을 경우 전자파 차폐룸에서 시험이 어려울 수 있으며, 야외 시험장을 이용할 수 밖에 없다. 야외 시험장은 측정 결과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 전파 반사체, 전파 잡음 등이 시험장 내에 존재하지 않는 것이 이상적이지만 IT, 무선 통신 산업이 발달됨에 따라 기존의 야외 시험장은 수많은 생활전자파노이즈에 오염되어 있는 실정이다. 고흥 항공센터의 경우 도심과 떨어져 있고, 주변이 농경지로 둘러싸여 있어 전자파환경이 청정할 것으로 예상되며, 따라서 대형시험체의 전계강도를 측정할 수 있는 야외 시험장으로 활용이 가능할 수 있다. 이를 확인하기 위해 고흥 항공센터의 전자파환경을 측정하였으며, 30 MHz 이상의 주파수대역에서는 라디오, TV, 핸드폰 등 소스가 분명한 주파수를 제외하고는 대체적으로 깨끗한 결과를 보였으며 야외 시험장으로 좋은 역할을 할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

소방항공대의 최적 운영을 위한 개선방안 연구 (A Study on Improvement for Optimizing Operations of Firefighting Aviation Corps)

  • Recently, even though firefighting operations are supposed to be incorporated into single body IAW restructuring of the government organizations, in terms of efficiency it is still difficult to find any significant improvements due to the centrally and locally segregated operating bodies and also, as with organizations firefighting manpowers are divided nationally and locally, which results in differing firefighting functioning. Although governments firefighting bodies are changed to operate better, there are always limitations in firefighting operations. This study explores firefighting organizations, manpower, equipment and operations itself to optimize firefighting operations, and ultimately, to provide the future-oriented functions and roles of the firefighting aviation corps.

국가 통합항공안전관리시스템 모형 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on Model of the State's Aviation Safety Management System)

  • The Chicago Convention in 1944 made important contributions to aviation safety improvement, building an aviation safety monitoring system for its signatory countries. As ICAO is now on the verge of changing its supervision system from self-reporting to preventive Continuous Monitoring Approach(CMA) in 2013, we also expect our own safety system to make a progress accordingly. The government is pushing ahead with plans to build an integrated safety management system at government level that satisfies international standards and reflects domestic features. To this end, this report proposes the most effective system-building model, by analyzing the current status of the system that is in use and meets the requirements of international aviation agencies.

지역 허브급 버티포트의 설계 및 운영 연구 (A Research on the Design and Operation of Regional Hub-Level Vertiport)

  • UAM is emerging due to the deepening population concentration in the metropolitan area and the problem of congested ground transportation in urban areas. Accordingly, along with research on eVTOL aircraft for UAM services, interest in vertiport, the interest in vertiports, the infrastructure that allows eVTOLs to take off and land, is also increasing. However, behind the concentration of population in the metropolitan area, aphenomenon of local extinction is occurring in conjunction with the aging population. AAM, which moves quickly through 3D space, can be an effective SOC facility in times of local extinction crisis. In this paper, we introduce a design plan from the perspective of a complex transper center for a regional hub-level vertiport that can connect with local high-speed rail and utilize local airports in compliance with the vertiport design guidelines issued by FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) and EASA(European union Aviation Safety Agency). We would like to present Vertiport's future operation plan.

항공종사자 건강증진활동계획에 반영되어야 할 근거자료: 3년간의 항공신체검사 결과 분석 (Analysis of Three Years of Airmen Medical Certificate for Preparing Aviation-related Health Promotion Plan)

  • In accordance with ICAO SARPs, the states should implement appropriate aviation-related health promotion for airmen subject to an aviation medical examination to reduce future medical risks to flight safety. We aimed to analyze the results of the aviation medical examination to use as objective evidence for establishing an aviationrelated health promotion plan. The results of the final issuance of airmen medical certificate from 2015~2017 were collected from the e-sky computer system. The 30 cases (0.3%) in 2015, 22 cases (0.2%) in 2016, 38 cases (0.3%) in 2017 were unfit for flight duty. The 34 unfit out of the total 90 cases were renewal physical examinations. The cardiovascular disease was most commonly in 11 cases, followed by 8 tumors, 4 psychiatric diseases, 3 ophthalmic diseases, 2 respiratory diseases, 2 neurologic diseases, 2 otolaryngological diseases, 1 endocrine disease and 1 digestive disease. The results of this study can be used as objective data in aviation-related health promotion plan. The health promotion activities based on objective data can contribute to improving aviation safety by improving the lifestyles of airmen.
