통신장비실의 열환경 개선방안에 관한 연구 -TDX-10, TDX-100, 5ESS-2000, PCM실 중심으로- (A Study for Improving the Thermal Environment of Telecommunication Equipment Room -based on TDX-10, TDX-100, 5ESS-2000, PCM room-)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve thermal environment of telecommunication equipment rooms that hold TDX-10, TDX-100, 5ESS-2000, PCM of the latest telecommunication equipment. Analysis program is used the commercial CFD code, Star-CD and DOE-2.1E. The result has been compared by the energy consumption and the temperature contour at the 1 m height of room for each case. Different methods such as the relocation of the existing air-conditioner, the inflow of the ambient air into room, the installation of the forced fan and the cooling system equipment of the duct-connection type have been used to test for improvement of thermal environment. The analysis shows that most efficient method is the inflow of the ambient air into room but auxiliary equipment should be needed to prevent the local thermal spot.

  • Shielding gas has significant effects on arc stability, metal transfer and weld quality in the gas metal arc welding (GMAW) process. The double gas-shielded MAG(DMAG) and auxiliary gas-shielded MAG (AMAG) torches are investigated for their capability to provide argon-rich gas mixture using small amount of argon gas through the inner and auxiliary nozzles, respectively. Argon composition with the DMAG torch is calculated numerically, and compared with the measured data using the gas chromatogrphy. Gas flow pattern of the DMAG torch is calculated to change from the laminar to turbulent flow when total gas flow rate becomes larger than 4.5 liter/min at room temperature. While argon-rich shielding gas was obtained using both the AMAG and DMAG torches, the AMAG torch provides higher argon composition than the DMAG torch, which demonstrates that argon gas can be utilized more efficiently with the AMAG torch.

열해현상 방지를 위한 버스 엔진룸 구조개선 (Reengineering of Bus Engine Room Structure for Preventing Thermal Damages)

  • Four types of different flow inlet models were tested to improve the flow uniformity at the inlet of the radiator and to prevent thermal damages of auxiliary units from the hot air in the bus engine room. Measurements and numerical calculations were performed and their results were in a good agreement with each other. Simultaneously temperature measurements were carried out under the conditions of actual bus driving. As designing the new flow inlet at the partition board which seperates the engine space and radiator space, flow circulation can be achieved and fresh air comes into the engine room from the bottom. It was proved that new inlet makes the one air temperature cooling down in the engine room, the other uniformity improvement.

미술관 전시공간의 시각구조 분석 - 개실형 전시공간의 분석을 중심으로 - (An Analysis on The Visual Configuration of an Exhibition Space in Art Museum - Focusing on an Exhibition space Room-to-room -)

  • In the spatial configuration of room-to-room art museums, openings and walls are important physical factors, and openings are a medium for connecting spaces. Also, by spatially composing walls and openings, spaces can be connected visually and physically, and movements and directions may vary depending on the location or size of walls and openings. In this study, 5 museums are investigated: Sainsbury Wing in London, Gemaldegalerie In Berlin, Alte Pinakotkek in Munich, Neue Pinakothek in Munich, and Staatsgalerie Stuttgart in Stuttgart. Using DepthMap program, the characteristics of visual-spatial composition of each museum are derived by comparing the Connectivity, Visual integration, and Isovist maximum radial. From an analysis of spatial distribution, a relationship with visibility is investigated. The results of this study showed that the combination of visual axial lines affect the spatial configuration of the room-to-room museums. Depending on the location of opening, the museums can be classified as follows: 1) Museums with the 1st visual axial line and the 2nd and 3rd auxiliary visual axial lines ; 2) museums with several equal visual axial lines; and 3) museums with only center axial line.

  • Investigations of the commercial aircraft impact effect on nuclear island infrastructures have been drawing extensive attention, and this paper aims to perform the safety assessment of Generation III nuclear power plant (NPP) buildings subjected to typical commercial aircrafts crash. At present Part II, based on the verified finite element (FE) models of aircrafts Airbus A320 and A380, as well as the NPP containment and auxiliary buildings in Part I of this paper, the whole collision process is reproduced numerically by adopting the coupled missile-target interaction approach with the finite element code LS-DYNA. The impact induced damage of NPP plant under four impact locations of containment (cylinder, air intake, conical roof and PCS water tank) and two impact locations of auxiliary buildings (exterior wall and roof of spent fuel pool room) are evaluated. Furthermore, by considering the inner structures in the containment and raft foundation of NPP, the structural vibration analyses are conducted under two impact locations (middle height of cylinder, main control room in the auxiliary buildings). It indicates that, within the discussed scenarios, NPP structures can withstand the impact of both two aircrafts, while the functionality of internal equipment on higher floors will be affected to some extent under impact induced vibrations, and A380 aircraft will cause more serious structural damage and vibrations than A320 aircraft. The present work can provide helpful references to assess the safety of the structures and inner equipment of NPP plant under commercial aircraft impact.

팔꿈치 지지대를 사용한 보조 차폐 기구의 개발 및 효용성 평가 (Development and Efficiency Evaluation of Auxiliary Shielding using Elbow Support)

  • 최근 인터벤션의 중요성이 증가한 만큼 시술을 수행하는 의료진의 건강에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 기존의 방사선 차폐 기구는 시술자의 동선을 제한하고 감염의 위험으로 인해 적절하게 사용되지 못했으며 시술자의 생식선과 나아가 시술실 전체 영역의 적절한 방사선 차폐가 이루어지지 못했다. 시술 시 사용되는 팔꿈치 지지대에 차폐체(bismuth)를 부착하여 보조 차폐 기구를 제작하였고 방사선 차폐 효과를 측정하였다. 측정 결과, 평균 공간 선량률이 약 64.8% 감소하였으며 독립표본 T검정 분석 결과 유의확률 이하(p<0.05)로 통계학적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 보조 차폐 기구의 사용은 시술자의 생식선 차폐 및 시술실 전체 영역의 방사선 공간 선량률을 감소시킬 수 있는 효과적인 차폐 방법으로 사료된다.

HVAC 상실사고시 울진원전 3/4 호기의 보조급수펌프 격실 온동상승 평가 (Heat-up Calculation for the Auxiliary Feed Water Pump Room at Ulchin Units 3 and 4 for Loss of HVAC Accidents)

  • 난방, 환기 및 공기조절(HVAC) 기능이 상실된 사고의 경우, 보조급수를 위한 모터-구동 펌프격실의 온도상승을 전산유체역학 분석을 통해 평가하였다. 닫힌 펌프격실의 과도 계산결과, 8 시간 동안 공간-평균된 공기온도는 $60^{\circ}C$ 정도의 상승이 예상된다. 외기 온도 및 외부 온도는 이전 계산결과로부터 초기 $35^{\circ}C$에서 시작하여 서서히 증가한다고 가정하였다. 격실 문이 사고발생 후 약 2, 4, 그리고 6시간 경과 시점에서 열릴 경우, 체적-평균 격실 내가 온도는 약 $4^{\circ}C$의 즉각적인 하강이 나타나며 이후 서서히 온도가 상승하는 장기 거동을 보인다. 전산유체역학을 적용한 현재의 상세 해석결과는 이전의 집중(lumped) 모델을 사용한 보수적인 계산결과에 비해 낮은 격실온도 상승률을 예측한다.

아파트 각 실의 비중변화와 내부공간 개조요구에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Changes of Areal Share of Rooms and Residents' Demand for Internal Space Remodeling of Apartment Housing)

  • This study examines changes of internal structure and the ratios of room sizes of flat-type apartment housing and residents' demand of housing alteration. The main results are follows: First, the auxiliary space, such as multi-purpose room, storage & receiving space, becomes an important component of flat-type apartment housing. Second, apartment housings should be supplied to residents focusing on functions of space rather than the number of rooms. Third, the ratios of living room and storage space sizes have been increased as living space increases. Since the current apartment housings do not meet residents' needs, we suggest that residents' age, number of family, and economic status must be considered when apartment space are planned.

생활폐기물 자동집하시설용 다단직렬연결 원심블로어 운전특성 (Operating Characteristics of Serially Connected Centrifugal Blowers Used for Automated Vacuum Waste Collection System)

  • This paper describes blower performance characteristics of a automated vacuum waste collection system. Blowers serially connected to six or seven centrifugal blowers are evaluated by experimental measurements to understand blower performances according to blower numbers operated. Two different blowers and duct diameters connected to the main blowers are considered. Data acquisition system is introduced to measure pressure and pressure difference at the main duct simultaneously, which is connected to several blowers serially. A auxiliary blower, which is installed between a filter room and an air deodorizing apparatus, is also added to simulate its performance effect on the main blower. Throughout the experimental measurements of the blower system, it is found that pressure and inlet velocity at the upstream of a blower increase 3.7 and 2.4 times separately by increasing the operating blower numbers from one to seven. It is noted that blower efficiency and pressure measured at the system vary according to the distance between a air intake and a blower system. Auxiliary blower is effective to increase blower inlet suction pressure, while total energy consumption is increased relatively.

Full Scale Testing of the Effect of Stairwell Pressurization on Pressure Differential and Flow Velocity

  • 계단실을 직접 가압했을 경우에 계단실과 부속실 사이의 차압 및 부속실과 세대 사이의 차압이 어떤 영향을 받는지 연구하기 위해 실건물을 사용해 실험했다. 또한 열린문에서의 유속분포도 측정하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 건물은 지상 20층 지하 2층의 공동주택이다. 계단실을 가압하기 위해서 송풍기를 지하 1층에 설치하여 외부공기를 계단실로 공급했다. 13가지 경우에 대한 실험을 실시했으면 주 실험변수들은 문이 개방된 층의 숫자와 위치 및 송풍량이었다. 지상 1층 문들만이 열린 상태에서는 계단실과 부속실 사이의 차압 및 부속실과 세대 사이의 차압이, 1층 부근을 제외하고는, 비교적 균일하게 분포되었다. 실험결과 180~270 CMM에서 한 층이 개방되어도 화재안전기준의 방연풍속을 만족하였고, 계단실은 전체적으로 양압을 유지할 수 있었으나 최소차압 조건(10 Pa)을 항상 만족시키지는 못하였다. 두 층의 문들이 개방된 경우, 유량을 증가함으로써 최소유속조건은 만족시킬 수 있었으나 가압지점 인근에서 과압이 발생하지 않는 상태에서 최소차압조건을 만족시키는 것은 비현실적임을 발견했다.
