디젤 입자상물질의 크기분포 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Size Distribution of Diesel Particulate Matter (DPM))

  • Diesel particulate matter (DPM) is known to be one of the major harmful emissions produced by diesel engines. The majority of diesel particles are in the range of smaller than $I{\mu}\textrm{m}$. Because of their tiny volume, ultrafine diesel particles contribute very little to the total mass concentration which is currently regulated for automobile emissions. Diesel particles are known to have deleterious effects upon human health because they penetrate human respiratory tract and have negative effects on the health. The measurement of the number distribution of nanometer size particles (nanoparticles) in the diesel exhaust emission is important in order to evaluate their environmental and health impact, and to develop new types of diesel particulate filters. In this study, we directly sampled particulate matters emitted from a diesel truck mounted on the chassis dynamometer by a flow separator and dilution system, and measured the nanoparticles using two types of differential mobility analyzers combined with a Faraday cup electrometer (FCE) and a condensation particle counter (CPC). The particle size distributions were analyzed by changing engine operation condition, i.e. ratio of engine loading. The total number concentration of particles were increased with the engine loading ratio and the nanoparticles (less than 50nm) were affected by hydrocarbon (HC) concentration in the diesel exhaust.

튜브 클리닝 시스템 내부의 유동 특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (The Numerical Analysis of Fluid Flow in the Tube Cleaning System)

  • The numerical analysis of fluid flow in the tube cleaning system is examined. The working flow used in this study is seawater, and the temperature change is not considered as the temperature change of seawater in the tube cleaning system is negligible. Also, the analysis is performed under the assumption of steady state. The screens of complicated morphologies are simplified for the analysis, and only one fourth of the tube cleaning system is modeled as the system has a symmetrical shape. The velocity inlet boundary condition is employed for the seawater inlet, whereas the outflow boundary condition is employed for two seawater outlets. In applying the outflow boundary condition for the system with more than two outlets, the flow rate can be arbitrarily assigned. In the analysis, the finite-volume method based numerical analysis tool, the pressure based solver, the standard k-$\varepsilon$ model are utilized, and the under relaxation factor is modified appropriately. From the analysis, the distribution of velocity vectors, pressure and path lines are obtained, and the physical characteristics of fluid flow in the tube cleaning system is well-examined.

차량 누적거리에 의한 연비 특성 연구 (Study on Fuel Economy Characteristics by Cumulative Distance of Vehicle)

  • The vehicle label fuel economy is used as an energy management indicator nationwide. It induces technology development of automobile manufacturers and plays a role of providing information when purchasing a consumer vehicle. However, consumers who purchase a new vehicle continued to complain that the label fuel economy is different from the mandatory fuel economy rate. The domestic fuel economy measurement method is the same as the North American measurement method. The results of the two test modes (urban (FTP-75 mode), highway (HWFET mode)) are calculated in five test modes reflecting various environmental conditions and driving patterns 5-cycle correction formula is used which is equivalent to the fuel efficiency value. In this study, to solve the consumers' curiosity about the fuel economy of new vehicle, we use domestic fuel economy measurement method to measure the new car condition within 150 km of driving distance and the cumulative driving distance condition of domestic label fuel economy test vehicle. A comparative evaluation of fuel economy was carried out for a durability vehicle of $6,500{\pm}1,000km$. A result, mean value of the fuel economy of the four gasoline vehicles increased by 2.7 % in the city center mode and by 2.5 % in the highway mode in the durable vehicle compared new vehicle. And in the case of the diesel vehicle it increased by 2.5 % and 3.9 % respectively. The harmful exhaust gas emitted from the vehicle also resulted in more emissions of both gasoline and diesel vehicles in new vehicles. It is considered that the increase of the frictional force of the vehicle driving system and the lubricating oil system would have an effect on the reduction of the fuel economy of the new vehicle, and it was found that the fuel economy and the exhaust gas were improved by proper cumulative distance (domesticate) to the new vehicle.

SCR 믹서형상에 따른 배기가스와 환원제 혼합 효율에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Mixing Efficiency of Exhaust Gas and Reductant According to SCR Mixer Shape)

  • 본 연구는 SCR 시스템 내에서 믹서 형상에 따른 배기가스와 요소수의 혼합 효율을 분석하기 위하여 진행되었다. 실험을 위하여 SCR 모사시스템을 제작하였으며, 균일도 측정을 위하여 균일도 측정기를 촉매 위치에 부착하였다. 실험변수는 배기가스의 유량, 온도, 믹서의 타입, 촉매의 거리를 변수로 두어 실험을 진행하였다. 실험결과로는 스월각 분석, 요소수 분포 형태, 균일도 등을 확인하였으며, 모델 A와 B의 스월각 실험결과 모델 A의 스월각이 전체 RPM영역에서 약 7~8도 높게 형성되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 요소수 균일도 실험결과 SCR 시스템 내에 믹서가 없는 경우에는 요소수가 한쪽으로 편중되어 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 믹서 모델 A는 전체적으로 고른 분포를 나타내었고 모델 B는 짧은 거리에 균일도 감지기를 설치하였을 때는 약간의 편중이 있지만 점차 거리가 멀어질수록 안정적인 요소수 분포를 나타내었다. 균일도 목표타겟인 혼합 효율 90%는 모델 A와 모델 B에서 만족할 수 있었으며, 특히 모델 A의 경우가 촉매 위치 10cm에서 이미 90%의 효율을 만족하는 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

중형 상용차 통풍형 브레이크 디스크의 제동 시 열 유동 및 변형 해석 (Thermal Fluid Flow and Deformation Analysis of Medium Commercial Vehicle Ventilated Brake Disc in Braking)

  • Domestic automobile companies have adopted drum type brake system for commercial vehicles. However recently those companies have been applying disc-brake system to solve vehicle control-instability and inefficient heat discharge performance of conventional drum brake system for a medium commercial vehicle. Because the kinetic energy of a running commercial vehicle is relatively high, the brake system should discharge lots of heat energy while braking. A ventilated type brake disc has been used to increase heat discharge performance of a brake system. The vent structure of a disc highly affects cooling efficiency. This paper compares thermal characteristics of three types of vent structure in JASO C421 braking condition. It is found that the slant bend type disc has the lowest temperature and thermal stress distributions in the braking condition.

복합유성기어의 강도 및 내구성 해석 (Strength and Durability Analysis of the Double Planetary Gears)

  • A planetary gear train is more compact and endures greater amounts of transmission power compared to other gear systems. Although planetary gear systems operate in small volumes, they are capable of very high efficiency due to the compact combination of their gears in the planetary gear system. They also have outstanding efficiency of only 3% for power transmission, tantamount to the power loss that occurs in each of the shift stages. Given these advantages, planetary gear systems are used in the driving systems of, which are widely used in automobile transmissions, machine tools, semiconductor equipment, and in other areas in industrial fields. Current structural equipment requires higher efficiency and greater torque levels. According to these needs, we have designed a complex planetary gear system which creates higher levels of torque. In this paper, an evaluation of strength designs for the proposed planetary gear system was conducted to ensure the stability of the gear. In addition, a durability analysis based on Miner's rule was performed using RS B 0095 device.

  • Automobile is in charge of most transportation system in modern urban city. However, in fact, cause of problem of road state, environment, and the other reasons, urban transit system is using as Mass Transit nowadays. Nevertheless Urban transit system is considering many kind of safety fact of that system which is increasing continuously nowadays, it occurs various train accident. This paper describes 3D Dimensional Measurement(EDM testing) and tensile testing results of carbody structure for crashed EMU(Electric Multiple Units). Tensile tests were performed on two different types of specimens in order to evaluate the strength changes before and after damages, obtained from plastic deformed area and nondeformed region of the crashed EMU. And Structural analysis of EMU was performed for the criteria of safety assessment. Structural analysis using commercial I-DEAS software provided important information on the stress distribution and load transfer mechanisms as well as the amount of damages during rolling stock crash. The testing results have been used to provide the critical information for the criteria of safety diagnosis.

특징기반 계층적 영상 검색 시스템의 구현 (A Implementation of the Feature-based Hierarchical Image Retrieval System)

  • 최근 컴퓨터 기술의 발전으로 인해 영상을 효율적으로 검색할 수 있는 영상 검색 시스템이 정보화 사회의 중요한 핵심 기술로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 내용기반 영상 데이터 검색을 위한 계층적 영상검색 시스템을 구현하였다. 1단계에서는 색상 정보를 위해서 Striker 등이 제시한 색상 분포 특성을 이용한 색인 방법의 문제점을 보완하여 지역 색상 분포 특성을 고려한 색인 방법을 사용하여 1차로 영상을 대 분류한다. 2단계에서는 1단계에서 대 분류된 집단 영상들에 대하여 2차로 모양 정보를 이용하여 사용자가 질의한 영상과 유사한 영상을 최종적으로 검색한다 모양 정보를 위해서는 기존 불변 모멘트의 문제점인 많은 연산량과. Jain 등이 제시한 방향 히스토그램 인터섹션 방법에서 제기된 회전에 민감하다는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 물체의 윤곽선에 해당하는 화소들만을 대상으로 연산을 수행하는 향상된 불변 모멘트(Improved Moment Invariants : IMI)를 이용한다. 실험 영상으로 300개의 자동차 영상을 사용하여 기존 방법들과의 비교 실험을 통해 향상된 검색 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Effect of Joint Reformation on Adhesive Strength of 6061 Aluminum Alloy to Polycarbonate Lap Structures

  • Adhesive-bonded joints are widely used in the industry. Recently, applications of adhesive bonding joints have been increased extensively in automobile and aircraft industry. The strength of adhesive joints is influenced by the surface roughness, adhesive shape, stress distribution, and etc. However, the magnitude of the influence has not yet been clarified because of the complexity of the phenomena. In this study, as the fundamental research of adhesive bonding joints, the effects of adhesive shape and loading speed on bonding strength properties and durability of aluminum to polycarbonate single-lap joints were studied. To evaluate the effect of adhesive shape, several modified shapes were used, and loading speeds were varied from 0.05 to 5mm/min. As a result, the load distribution showed a brittle fracture tendency. The trigonal edged single lap and bevelled lap joints showed the higher strength than the plain single lap, trigonal single lap, joggle lap and double lap joints in same adhesive area. The fractures of trigonal single lap and trigonal edged single lap joints that had the higher strength level were shown as the mixture type of the cohesive and interfacial-failure, mostly joggle lap joints that had the lower strength level were shown as the adhesive-failure.

비구면렌즈 가공 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Manufacturing and Verification for the Aspherical Lens)

  • In this paper, we designed the aspheric lens by mathematical methods which are solved by refractive index. Based on these mathematical method, we manufactured the aspheric lens. Because of the usefulness of manufacturing, we used the acryl as the material. And we used a high speed machine to manufacture the aspheric lens. Also it sits in judgment the aberration of spherical distribution by using the grid fringe. Asource of laser produced by laser sheet generator passed the optical system of the aspheric lens. Though a character is to verify that the accuracy of the aspheric lens by experiment of the straight character.
