A Numerical Study on Automobile Interior Environment (자동차 실내 환경에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • The latest cars give much importance in the role of HVAC system that controls the environment of the area for passengers more than just basic capability In this study, we drew the automobile interior as three dimension and arranged a method of numerical analysis on HVAC environment in the automobile interior displaying air current distribution and temperature distribution through simulation of the automobile interior on the ventilation volume and outlet area, The aim of this study is to develop the estimated method for HVAC environment in the automobile interior. Results of numerical analysis, to cool automobile interior needs more considerations if thinking cheerful surroundings of automobile interior air but the more magnitude of outlet is small, the more cooling capability is excellent and realistic countermeasures about a realistic geometry and boundary condition.

  • This paper is concerned with the effective and efficient teaching-learning method with experimental equipments in automobile engineering. For deriving this educational methodology, teaching-learning methods being valuable in engineering education, and troubles and demands for experimental equipments in teaching and learning area are surveyed and reviewed. In results, we suggest the concept of total educational system considering and systemizing an experimental equipment as well as various educational materials such as courseware, teaching and experimental guide, virtual simulator, and operating manual, and so develop the total educational system of electrical engineering for automobile and suggest the application of this system on instruction process.

  • In this paper, it was performed to protect the remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part and grasp the latest tendency of remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part for development of remanufacturing technology and economical support of government. Research on the present statue of the remanufacturing industry was indicated that the number of remanufacture enterprises about automobile part, the annual, the number of employee in remanufacture and the type of remanufacturing. The general problems were presented which blocked the activities of domestic automobile part. It was also presented that problem of remanufacturing technology side and quality assurance of remanufactured automobile part and found out solution.

  • The purpose of this study is to assess key competencies, especially mathematical skills and communications skills, in order to find disaccord between industry and college in the field of automotive electricity on technical engineering education. For this study, an assessment sheet is consisted of nine questions items. Four questions items of them are to assess mathematical skills and five questions items of them are to assess communications skills. 134 copies returned assessment sheets are analyzed after data cleaning and it is concluded that disaccord between industry and college in the field of automotive electricity on technical engineering education is found.

  • Under the sudden change of competitive environment, the economic cooperation as a part of survival strategy is being a big issue among countries. There was much discussion based on the geological adjacency as well as cultural homogeneity regarding the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China, Japan. It has been also known that major trade countries of the world concluded the treaty of region trade, then extended the number of export, and drew a success in foreign direct investment. Resent automobile industry is being ran by the center of America, Europe and Japan. Korea only has a successful experience of restoration of automobile industry in the half of a century after his beginning. It is true that China is trying to do best to raise his automobile industry. Also Japan is a leading automobile country guiding automobile industry all over the world. It can be considered that Korea will play a major role in the three countries' automobile industry based on Japanese demonstrated technology, Chinese resources, market and experience with their economic cooperation. Therefore it is expected that a big result will be achieved throughout such a role play of each country. This paper has a purpose to light up the distinctive quality and the present condition of each country in automobile Industry, and to promote the foundation of three countries' economic cooperation. It is convinced that the economic cooperation of three countries, Korea, China and Japan in automobile industry, will play a great role in the world automobile market.

  • This paper focuses on a BOM(Bill of Materials) management problem for a small and medium manufacturing company that produce automobile parts. Automobile part's manufacturers produce various products due to various automobile characteristics such as types, colors, and the other options of car. These products are classified into product groups with common parts. And each product group is regarded as a product family. This paper proposes an efficient and effective EXCEL-based BOM management scheme using characteristics of the product family. And we have implemented the practical EXCEL-based BOM management system for real small and medium automobile part's manufacturing companies.

  • An engineering educational servery for graduating seniors had been conducted in Songwon University to improve engineering program objectives. The analysis results show that the current engineering educational objectives need to be modified to satisfy the ABEEK accredited criteria and engineering curriculum returning is necessary to include more design courses.

  • Remanufacturing of automobile parts is important for increasing the recycling resources. ECU(Electronic Control Unit) systems are becoming an increasingly important part of an automobile. But production company are reported in the ECU remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile parts due to a lack of remanufacturing technology and marketability. This paper introduces the ECU of remanufacturing, also grasps the structure and the analyzes failure cause that is external factors and fault in the characteristic design and steps in the Independent ECU remanufacturing process. The ECU manufacturing industry of the US was examined. The results in this paper could be used as the system information for further remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile parts.

  • Domestic as well as global automobile manufacturers are making greater efforts in cost reduction to strengthen the competitiveness. In this study, we developed a program to effectively manage standard time of automobile assembly line, and confirm based on A-automobile factory data. For the purpose, we develop the system which is possible to manage standard time as well as calculate man-hour for automobile assembly line.

  • Acoustic holography is applied to automobile aeroacoustic noise. Automobile aeroacoustic noise has low coherence due to multiple independent sources and measurement noise. This paper discusses the reliability of acoustic holography on this low coherence condition. Main subjects are the number and position of reference microphones, which is used for a step-by-step scanning method, and measurement noise. A real automobile experiment verifies the results.
