Isolated Word Recognition Algorithm Using Lexicon and Multi-layer Perceptron (단어사전과 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용한 고립단어 인식 알고리듬)

  • Over the past few years, a wide variety of techniques have been developed which make a reliable recognition of speech signal. Multi-layer perceptron(MLP) which has excellent pattern recognition properties is one of the most versatile networks in the area of speech recognition. This paper describes an automatic speech recognition system which use both MLP and lexicon. In this system., the recognition is performed by a network search algorithm which matches words in lexicon to MLP output scores. We also suggest a recognition algorithm which incorperat durational information of each phone, whose performance is comparable to that of conventional continuous HMM(CHMM). Performance of the system is evaluated on the database of 26 vocabulary size from 9 speakers. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves error rate of 7.3% which is 5.3% lower rate than 12.6% of CHMM.

  • PC 또는 모바일 기기를 이용한 검색을 위해서는 키보드 또는 터치패드를 이용하여 키워드를 입력하는 고전적인 방식이 현재까지 널리 사용되고 있다. 음성, 이미지, 제스처 등을 이용한 새로운 검색 기술들이 등장하고 있지만, 관련 검색엔진의 문제로 검색 결과가 다소 미흡한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 포털 검색의 키워드 입력 방식과는 달리, 검색하고자 하는 대상을 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 기기의 카메라로 촬영하면 해당 촬영 이미지가 사용자 입장에서는 검색 키워드와 같이 동일한 역할을 할 수 있도록 CNN기법을 사용하여 Image-to-Text 형태의 모바일 비주얼 검색 서비스에 대해 제안한다.

  • CAD (Computer-Aided Design) 시스템은 보다 정확한 공학적 분석과 보다 많은 설계 대안을 고려하므로 설계의 질을 증가시킨다. 이러한 과정 중에 수행되는 최적화에는 다양한 탐색 기법들이 사용되고 있다. 그레이팅 설계를 자동화하는 AutoCAD 기반 시스템인 GDS(Grating automatic Drawing System)에서도 다양한 탐색 기법들이 최적화를 위해 사용되고 있다. 실제 그레이팅의 설계 공정에 있어서, 그레이팅은 특정 제약 조건과 우선순위에 맞추어 배치되어야한다. 그러나 현 GDS는 이러한 조건을 만족하는 최적 해를 찾는 것을 보장하지 않는다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 그레이팅 배치에서 준수해야할 제약 조건과 우선순위를 만족하는 최적 해를 찾기 위한 하용 가능한 $A^{*}$ 알고리즘을 GDS에 적용하며, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 균등 비용 탐색과 상대적인 효율성을 평가한다.

  • The decision tree approach is most useful in classification problems and to divide the search space into rectangular regions. Decision tree algorithms are used extensively for data mining in many domains such as retail target marketing, fraud dection, data reduction and variable screening, category merging, etc. CHAID(Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detector) uses the chi-squired statistic to determine splitting and is an exploratory method used to study the relationship between a dependent variable and a series of predictor variables. In this paper we propose CHAID algorithm by cube-based proportional sampling and explore CHAID algorithm in view of accuracy and speed by the number of variables.

  • 시맨틱 웹은 인간이 이해하는 것처럼 웹 문서의 의미를 컴퓨터가 처리할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 그러나 인터넷 등 정보통신 기술의 발전으로 인해 정보량이 급증함으로써 이들 정보 자원을 효과적으로 검색하기에는 많은 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 주석 에디터를 사용하여 논문에 대한 RDF 메타데이타의 자동 생성 방법을 제안한다. 사용자가 논문을 주석 처리할 때, 문서에 대한 특징을 추출하고 온토로지 인터페이스를 사용하여 문서를 분류한다. 구현된 시스템을 통해 사용자는 추출된 메타데이타를 메타데이타 뷰를 통해 볼 수 있으며, HTML 뷰를 통해 메타데이타를 수동으로 수정이 가능하다. 이 메타데이타는 RDF Repository로 저장할 수 있으며, 주석 뷰를 통하여 RDF 메타데이타 생성을 확인할 수 있다. 이렇게 생성된 RDF 메타데이타는 웹 로봇이 내용의 의미 파악 및 카테고리 정보를 쉽게 알 수 있도록 해준다. 본 논문은 검색 엔진을 통하여 논문 검색시 전체 내용보다 RDF 메타데이타 정보만으로 효율적인 검색을 할 수 있는 방법에 초점을 둔다.

  • The accurate focusing position should be determined for accurate measurements In VMS. Camera lens focusing is an important problem in computer vision and video measuring systems (VMS) that use CCD cameras and high precision XYZ stages. Camera focusing is a very important step in high precision measurement systems that use computer vision technique. The auto focusing process consists of two steps, the focus value measurement step and the exact focusing position determination step. It is suitable for eliminating high frequency noises with lower processing time and without blurring. An automatic focusing technique is applied to measure a crater with a one-dimensional search algorithm for finding the best focus. Throughout this paper, the suggested algorithm for the Auto focusing was combined with the learning. As a result, it is expected that such a combination would be expanded into the system of recognizing voices in a noisy environment.

  • Dual arm manipulators have been developed for the entertainment purpose such as humanoid type or the industrial application such as automatic assembly. Nowadays, there are some issues for applying the dual arm robot system into the various fields. Especially, robots can substitute human and perform the dangerous activity such as search and rescue in the battle field or disaster. In the paper, the dual arm manipulator which can be adapted to the rescue robot with the mobile platform was developed. The kinematic design was proposed for the rescue activity and the required specification was determined through the kinematic analysis and the dynamic analysis in the various conditions. The proposed dual arm manipulator was manufactured based on the vibration analysis result and its performance was proved by the experiment.

Angle-Range-Polarization Estimation for Polarization Sensitive Bistatic FDA-MIMO Radar via PARAFAC Algorithm

  • In this paper, we study the estimation of angle, range and polarization parameters of a bistatic polarization sensitive frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output (PSFDA-MIMO) radar system. The application of polarization sensitive array in receiver is explored. A signal model of bistatic PSFDA-MIMO radar system is established. In order to utilize the multi-dimensional structure of array signals, the matched filtering radar data can be represented by a third-order tensor model. A joint estimation of the direction-of-departure (DOD), direction-of-arrival (DOA), range and polarization parameters based on parallel factor (PARAFAC) algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm does not need to search spectral peaks and singular value decomposition, and can obtain automatic pairing estimation. The method was compared with the existing methods, and the results show that the performance of the method is better. Therefore, the accuracy of the parameter estimation is further improved.

  • In this paper, an approach to identify fuzzy rules is proposed. The decision of the optimal number of fuzzy rule is made by means of fuzzy c-means clustering. The identification of the parameters of fuzzy implications is carried out by use of genetic algorithms. For the efficinet and fast parameter identification, the reduction thechnique of search areas of genetica algorithms is proposed. The feasibility of the proposed approach is evaluated through the identification of the fuzzy model to describe an input-output relation of Gas Furnace. Despite the simplicity of the propsed apprach the accuracy of the identified fuzzy model of gas furnace is superior as compared with that of other fuzzy modles.

  • Increased complexity of products and their manufacturing processing demans higher quality control and monitoring than ever before. Therefore, flexible automatization or flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) offer numerous advantages over alternative manufacturing methods. In this state, a in-process monitoring is one of the important flexible automatino system. And as use of NC and CNC machine tool has been increasing, cutting work has automating and it is necessary to develop the automatic production system combined a couple of machine tool. Thus, in this paper to search examination it can measure the tool wear and the tool life and can be more practical research subject.
