In this paper, we propose an interactive genetic algorithm (IGA) to implement an automated 2D avatar synthesis. The IGA technique is capable of expressing user's personality in the avatar synthesis by using the user's response as a candidate for the fitness value. Our suggested IGA method is applied to creating avatars automatically. Unlike the previous works, we introduce the concepts of 'hidden population', as well as 'primitive avatar' and 'simplified genotype', which are used to overcome the shortcomings of IGA such as human fatigue or reliability, and reasonable rates of convergence with a less number of iterations. The procedure of designing avatar models consists of two steps. The first step is to detect the facial feature points and the second step is to create the subjectively optimal avatars with diversity by embedding user's preference, intuition, emotion, psychological aspects, or a more general term, KANSEI. Finally, the combined processes result in human-friendly avatars in terms of both genetic optimality and interactive GUI with reliability.
Fault tree construction for hazard assessment requires so much time and labor, so it is very difficult to be applied to the large scale chemical plant. For the synthesis of fault tree in chemical processes, this study represents the cause-effect relations between process variables by using the Signed Directed Graph(SDG), and has synthesized Fault Tree(FT) by searching the causes of fault events using the general operator and loop operators defined corresponding to path characteristics on the SDG.

C-11 Radiolabeled amino acid-based radiopharmaceuticals such as [11C]MET for brain tumor PET imaging have limitations due to their short half-life (20 min). F-18 radiolabeled amino acid derivatives have been developed to overcome for the short half-life, one of which is [18F]FET. Brain tumor imaging using [18F]FET showed high uptake in tumor region and no non-specific uptake in inflammatory tissue, which was useful in discriminating the difference between inflammation and tumor especially. In this study, [18F]FET was synthesized using an automatic synthesis module and quality tests were carried out including enantiomeric purity analysis with reference compounds. Radiochemical yield was 50.3 ± 4.9% (n=7, decay-corrected) with molar activity of 76 ± 17 GBq/mmol. The radiochemical purity of >99%. Enantiomeric purity of [18F]FET using chiral HPLC analysis showed >99%, which was confirmed by co-injection with the L-FET and D-FET authentic standards. [18F]FET was prepared with high radiochemical yield and molar activity including no racemate mixture.

Gallium-68-prostate-specific membrane antigen-11 (68Ga-PSMA-11) is a positron emission tomography radiopharmaceutical that labels a Glu-urea-Lys-based ligand with 68Ga, binding specifically to the PSMA. It is used widely for imaging recurrent prostate cancer and metastases. On the other hand, the preparation and quality control testing of 68Ga-PSMA-11 in medical institutions takes over 60 minutes, limiting the daily capacity of 68Ge/68Ga generators. While the generator provides 1,110 MBq (30 mCi) nominally, its activity decreases over time, and the labeling yield declines irregularly. Consequently, additional preparations are needed, increasing radiation exposure for medical technicians, prolonging patient wait times, and necessitating production schedule adjustments. This study aimed to reduce the 68Ga-PSMA-11 preparation time and optimize the automated synthesis system. By shortening the reaction time between 68Ga and the PSMA-11 precursor and adjusting the number of purification steps, a faster and more cost-effective method was tested while maintaining quality. The final synthesis time was reduced from 30 to 20 minutes, meeting the standards for the HEPES content, residual solvent EtOH content, and radiochemical purity. This optimized procedure minimizes radiation exposure for medical technicians, reduces patient wait times, and maintains consistent production schedules, making it suitable for clinical application.
[18F]Fluorocholine is a radiopharmaceutical used non-invasively in positron emission tomography to diagnose parathyroid adenoma, prostate cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma by evaluating the choline metabolism. In this study, a radiolabeling method for [18F]fluorocholine was optimized using a solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridge. [18F]Fluorocholine was labeled in two steps using an automated synthesizer. In the first step, dibromomethane was reacted with [18F]KF/K2.2.2/K2CO3 to obtain the intermediate [18F]fluorobromomethane. In the second step, [18F]fluorobromomethane was passed through a Sep-PakⓇ Silica SPE cartridge to remove the impurities and then reacted with N,N-dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) in a Sep-PakⓇ C18 SPE cartridge to label [18F]fluorocholine. The reaction conditions of [18F]fluorocholine were optimized. The synthesis yield was confirmed according to the number of silica cartridges and DMAE concentration. No statistically significant difference in the synthesis yield of [18F]fluorocholine was observed when using four or three silica cartridges (P>0.05). The labeling yield was 11.5±0.5% (N=4) when DMAE was used as its original solution. On the other hand, when diluted to 10% with dimethyl sulfoxide, the radiochemical yield increased significantly to 30.1±5.2% (N=20). In conclusion, [18F]Fluorocholine for clinical use can be synthesized stably in high yield by applying an optimized synthesis method.

Purpose: $[^{18}F]$Fallypride plays an effective radiotracer for the study of dopamine $D_2/D_3$ receptor occupancy, neuropsychiatric disorders and aging in humans. This tracer has the potential for clinical use, but automated labeling efficiency showed low radiochemical yields about 5~20% with relatively long labelling time of fluorine-18. In present study, we describe an improved automatic synthesis of [$^{18}F$]Fallypride using different base concentration for routine clinical use. Materials and Methods: Fully automated synthetic process of [$^{18}F$]Fallypride was perform using the TracerLab $FX_{FN}$ synthesizer under various labeling conditions and tosyl-fallypride was used as a precursor. [$^{18}F$]Fluoride was extracted with various concentration of $K_{2.2.2.}/K_2CO_3$ from $^{18}O$-enriched water trapped on the ion exchange cartridge. After azeotropic drying, the labeling reaction proceeded in $CH_3CN$ at $100^{\circ}C$ for 10 or 30 min. The reaction mixture was purified by reverse phase HPLC and collected organic solution was exchanged by tc-18 Sep-Pak for the clinically available solution. Results: The optimal labeling condition of [$^{18}F$]Fallypride in the automatic production was that 2 mg of tosyl-fallypride in acetonitrile (1 mL) was incubated at $100^{\circ}C$ for 10 min with $K_{2.2.2.}/K_2CO_3$ (11/0.8 mg). [$^{18}F$]Fallypride was obtained with high radiochemical yield about $66{\pm}1.4%$ (decay-corrected, n=28) within $51{\pm}1.2$ min including HPLC purification and solid-phase purification for the final formulation. Conclusion: [$^{18}F$]Fallypride was prepared with a significantly improved radiochemical yield with high specific activity and shorten synthetic time. In addition, this automated procedure provides the high reproducibility with no synthesis failures (n=28).
Dependability-critical systems, such as digital instrumentation and control systems in nuclear power plants, necessitate engineering techniques and tools to provide assurances of their safety and reliability. Determining system reliability at the architectural design phase is important since it may guide design decisions and provide crucial information for trade-off analysis and estimating system cost. Despite this, reliability and system engineering remain separate disciplines and engineering processes by which the dependability analysis results may not represent the designed system. In this article we provide an overview and application of our approach to build architecture-based, dynamic system models for dependability-critical systems and then automatically generate dynamic fault trees (DFT) for comprehensive, tool-supported reliability analysis. Specifically, we use the Architectural Analysis and Design Language (AADL) to model the structural, behavioral and failure aspects of the system in a composite architecture model. From the AADL model, we seek to derive the DFT(s) and use Galileo's automated reliability analyses to estimate system reliability. This approach alleviates the dependability engineering - systems engineering knowledge expertise gap, integrates the dependability and system engineering design and development processes and enables a more formal, automated and consistent DFT construction. We illustrate this work using an example based on a dynamic digital feed-water control system for a nuclear reactor.

Purpose [68Ga]PSMA-11 is needed the high reproducibility, excellent radiochemical yield and purity. In term of radiation safety, the radiation exposure of operator for its production also should be considered. In this work, we performed a comparative study for the fully automated synthesis of [68Ga]PSMA-11 between non-cassette type and cassette type. Materials and Methods Two different type of modules (TRACERlab FX N pro for non-cassette type and BIKBox for cassette type) were used for the automated production of [68Ga]PSMA-11. According to the previously identified elution profile, Only 2.5 ml with high radioactivity was used for the reaction. After adjusting the pH of the reaction solution with HEPES buffer solution, the precursor was added and reacted with at 95 ℃ for 15 minutes. The reaction mixture was separated and purified using a C18 light cartridge. The product was eluted with 50% EtOH/saline solution and diluted with saline. It was completed by sterilizing filter. In the non-cassette type, the aforementioned process must be prepared directly. However, in the cassette method, synthesis was possible simply by installing a kit that was already completed. Results Both total [68Ga]PSMA-11 production time were 25±3(non-cassette type) and 23±3 minutes(cassette type). The radiochemical yield of the non-cassette type(65.5±5.7%) was higher than that of the cassette type(61.6±4.8%) after sterilization filter. The non-cassette type took about 120 minutes of preparation time before synthesis due to washing of synthesizer and reagent preparation. However, since the cassette type does not require washing and reagent preparation, it took about 20 minutes to prepare before synthesis. Both type of synthesizer had a radiochemical high purity(>99%). Conclusion The non-cassette type production of [68Ga]PSMA-11 showed higher radiochemical yield and lower cost than the cassette type. However, The cassette type has an advantage in terms of preparation time, convenience, and equipment maintenance.

In the microfluidic applications, viscous-driven pumping mechanism is a promising one since the viscous effect increases significantly as the size of device decreases, relative to the inertial effect. However, there exist a few drawbacks we have to improve such as low efficiency and small volume flow rate. In the present study, an optimum design synthesis is proposed to enhance the performance characteristics of the micropump with single rotating cylinder. First, the unstructured grid CFD method is described and validated by comparing its results to the previous results. Next, an automated optimum design synthesis tool is constructed by combining the aforementioned CFD analysis model with the mathematical optimization model. This technique is used to improve the performance characteristics of newly designed viscous-driven pump. The presented results show that the fluid dynamic optimization tool is robust and may be applied to other microfluidic device design applications.
The goals of the present study were (3) to collect and analyze sets of fundamental frequency (F0) and formant frequency (F1, F2, F3) data of Korean diphthongs from ten linguistically homogeneous speakers of Korean males, and (2) to make a comparative study of Korean monophthongs and diphthongs. Various definitions, kinds, and previous studies of diphthongs were examined in the introduction. Procedures for screening subjects to form a linguistically homogeneous group, time point selection and formant determination were explained in the following section. The principal findings were as follows: 1. Much variation was observed in the ongliding part of diphthongs. 2. F2 values of (j) group descended while those of [w] group ascended, 3. The average duration of diphthongs were about 110 msec, and there was not much variation between speakers and diphthongs. 4. In a comparative study of monophthongs and diphthongs, Fl and F2 values of the same offgliding part at the third time point almost converged. 5. The gliding of diphthongs was very short beginning from the h-noise. Perceptual studies using speech synthesis are desirable to find major parameters for diphthongs. The results of the present study wi11 be useful in the area of automated speech recognition and computer synthesis of speech.
