Bi-directional fault analysis of evaporator inspection system

  • In this paper, we have performed a safety analysis on an automotive evaporator inspection system. We performed the bi-directional analysis on the manufacturing line. Software Fault Tree Analysis (SFTA) as backward analysis and Software Failure Modes, Effects, & Criticality Analysis (SFMECA) as forward analysis are performed alternately to detect potential cause-to-effect relations. The analysis results indicate the possibility of searching and summarizing fault patterns for future reusability.

  • We have developed an automated circuit defect inspection and repair method that can be used to improve the yield ratio of TFT-LCD. The method focuses on correcting resist patterns after the development process to ensure shape regularity. We built a prototype system and confirmed that the method is valid.

  • Quality inspection of textile products is an important problem for fabric manufacturers. This paper presents an automatic vision-based system for quality control of web textile fabrics. Typical web material is 1-3m wide and is driven with speeds ranging from 20m/min to 200m/min. At the present, the quality assessment procedures are performed manually by expert. But worker can not detect more than 60% of the present defect and inspect the fabric if moving faster than 30m/min. To increase the overall quality and homogeneity of textile, an automated visual inspection system is needed fur the productivity. However, the existing inspection system are too expensive to purchase for small companies. In this paper, the proposed PC based real-time inspection algorithm gives low cost textile inspection system, high detection rate with good accuracy and low rate of false alarms. The method shows good results in the detection of several types of fabric defects.

  • We have developed m innovative surface inspection system for automated quality control for steel products in POSCO. We had ever installed the various kinds of surface inspection systems, such as a linear CCD and a laser typed surface inspection systems at cold rolled strips production lines. But, these systems cannot fulfill the sufficient detection and classification rate, and real time processing performance. In order to increase detection and classification rate, we have used the Dark, Bright and Transition Field illumination and area type CCD camera, and fur the real time image processing, parallel computing has been used. In this paper, we introduced the automatic surface inspection system and real time image processing technique using the Object Detection, Defect Detection, Classification algorithms and its performance obtained at the production line.

  • Numerous pipe lines can be found on various plant-based industrial sites. These pipelines should be periodically checked for defects. Most of these pipelines are internally inaccessible and difficult to visually inspect. Therefore, the inspection is being carried out with the help of non-contact inspection equipment such as ultrasonic flaw detection equipment. The use of ultrasonic flaw detection equipment can raise time and efficiency issues. In order to solve this problem, we will study the basic technology necessary for the development of automated inspection system equipped with ultrasonic measuring equipment and verify the validity through the fabrication of the demonstration device.

머신 비전을 이용한 금형 품질 검사 시스템 개발 (Development of Stamping Die Quality Inspection System Using Machine Vision)

  • In this paper, we present a case study of developing MVIS (Machine Vision Inspection System) designed for exterior quality inspection of stamping dies used in the production of automotive exterior components in a small to medium-sized factory. While the primary processes within the factory, including machining, transportation, and loading, have been automated using PLCs, CNC machines, and robots, the final quality inspection process still relies on manual labor. We implement the MVIS with general-purpose industrial cameras and Python-based open-source libraries and frameworks for rapid and low-cost development. The MVIS can play a major role on improving throughput and lead time of stamping dies. Furthermore, the processed inspection images can be leveraged for future process monitoring and improvement by applying deep learning techniques.

3차원 형상복원 정보 기반의 검색 자동화를 위한 스테레오 X-선 검색장치에 관한 연구 (The study of the stereo X-ray system for automated X-ray inspection system using 3D-reconstruction shape information)

  • X-선 탐지장치는 검색 대상물에 대한 단면 정보만을 제공하기 때문에 내용물에 대한 판정의 한계가 있다. 스테레오 X-선 탐지 장치는 검색 대상체에 대한 단면 정보와 논문에서 제안된 볼륨기반의 3차원 형상복원 알고리즘을 통해 3차원 정보를 제공하여 검색효율을 높일 수 있다. 또한, 고속 검색을 위해 자동화 검색에 대한 식별자로 형상복원 결과를 적용하고자 유사한 모형의 15개 샘플에 대한 형상 복원 및 검출율을 분석하였다. 검색대상 모델에 대한 복원 결과는 실측 모델과 비교할 때 각각 폭 (2.56%), 높이 (6.15 %)와 깊이 (7.12 %)의 오차를 보이며 높은 정확도를 나타내었다. 또한 K-Mean 클러스터링 알고리즘을 적용하여 실험한 결과 97 %의 검출 효율이 보였다. 본 논문의 결과는 자동화 시스템을 위한 새로운 검색식별자를 제시하며 추가연구를 통해 검색 시스템의 효율성 향상을 위한 연구를 진행할 것이다.

  • 이 논문은 영상처리기법을 이용하여 자동차 엔진 조림공정에 대한 통합적인 자동검사시스템의 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 시스템은 머신비전에 의한 검사데이터를 통계적 공정관리시스템으로 직접 입력이 가능하며, 이러한 특성은 품질 이상이나 공정에 문제가 발생하였을 때 즉각적인 수정 조치가 가능한 기술이다. 검사부분에 대한 영상처리는 PC 내부에 설치되어 있는 IVP-150 머신비전 보드에 의하여 이루어지며, 품질요소를 정확히 확인하기 위해 템플리트 매칭 기술이 적용되었다. 본 시스템을 생산현장에 적용한 결과, 잡음이나 영상의 삐뚤어짐 흑은 방향성 등의 문제에도 적응력이 강함이 입증되었다.

자동 시각 검사를 위한 개선된 서브픽셀 알고리즘 (An Improved Subpixel Algorithm for Automated Visual Inspection System)

  • A new improved algorithm in edge location to subpixel accuracy using decent-based weight to spatial information is proposed in this paper and applied to automated visual inspection(AVI) system. An application of the new edge operator as an edge detector is also provided and compared with Tabatabai and Lyvers edge detectors. The existing algorithms located edger to subpixel accuracy using least-square or moment-based methods. The algorithms also use only spatial information or grey-level values to locate edges. However, the proposed algorithm consider the weighted sum of grey-levels values of each edge pattern. The results show that the proposed algorithm is relatively less biased and has smaller standard deviation than the edge operations developed by Tabatabai and Lyvers in the presence of noise.

  • 프로젝트 개발에서 소프트웨어의 품질을 높이기 위한 방법 중 하나는 소스코드에 대한 잠재적인 결함을 초기에 발견하는 것이다. 이를 실현하기 위해 정형화된 기법으로 코드 인스펙션을 자동화하였으며, 개발자들이 ACI 규칙을 수립하였다. 논문에서는 실제 진행 중인 프로젝트를 기반으로 하여 결함 점검 수행에 따른 결함 발견 건수와 결함밀도가 감소되는 증명을 다룬다.
