A Study on RFID System with Secure Service Availability for Ubiquitous Computing

  • Spotlighted as an innovative information technology environment, ubiquitous computing has been actively researched on recently. Especially, domestic and global researches focus on the RFID system, which is being eyed to replace the existing bar-code system. As an essential technology for ubiquitous computing, the RFID system can be applied for various purposes. The security issues of the RFID system focus on how the low-priced tag type could have reasonable price competitiveness. The Auto-ID Center in the U.S. is spearheading the research on distribution service and omni-directional security. As for Japan, the researches on omni-directional security and EPC application are necessary in securing the technology for ubiquitous computing with support from the Ministry of Public Management Home Affairs, Posts, and Telecommunication. In this paper, a method of ensuring the availability of the RFID system service will be presented based on the ubiquitous computing environment with the existing omni-directional security and user-friendly interface. While the existing researches focus on the RF reader system and tag-based security, this paper's suggestion also considers the availability of a sen ice to suggest ways of increasing the practical usage of a low-priced RF tag.

  • 한국에서의 역할수행 게임은 역할놀이 보다는 콘텐츠에서의 플레이어와 아바타의 조작을 통한 일체감이 강조되어 왔다. 스마트폰 기반 모바일 게임에서 역시 역할수행 게임은 전투 콘텐츠를 중심으로 구성되어 있다. 모바일 역할수행 게임은 PvE보다는 PvP가 강조되는 충돌의 형태를 지니고 있으며, 그에 따라 플레이 양상도 반복, 조작 등으로 상이하게 나타난다. 또한 자동전투를 게임 시스템 안에서 지원하기 때문에 섬세한 조작보다는 플레이어가 입력한 전략이 예측대로 출력되었는지를 확인하는 심성 모델에 대한 실험에서 재미가 발생한다. 이러한 모바일 역할수행 게임의 특성을 대표적인 게임인 <세븐 나이츠>를 통해 분석했다. 플레이어는 자원 생산과 같은 단조로운 활동은 자동화하고, 단시간에 집약적인 재미를 경험할 수 있는 레이드, PvP 콘텐츠에 집중하는 플레이 패턴을 생성한다.

점 확산 함수 데이터베이스를 이용한 실시간 디지털 자동초점 (Real-Time Digital Auto-Focusing Using A-Priori Estimated Point Spread Functions)

  • 본 논문은 점 확산 함수 데이터베이스를 이용한 실시간 디지털 자동초점 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방식은 영상 입력 장치의 광학계가 갖는 점 확산 함수 정보로 구성되어 있는 데이터베이스를 사용해서 입력영상의 원하는 영역에 영상복원을 수행한 뒤, 이에 대한 복원 성능을 평가함으로써, 해당 점확산함수의 신뢰성을 검증한다. 이러한 방식으로 얻어진 점확산함수 집합으로부터 최적의 점 확산 함수를 적용하여, 전체 입력영상에 대한 복원을 수행함으로써 기존의 자동초점 기능을 대신한다. 또한 복원 영상에서 발생하는 잡음 및 링잉 효과의 억제를 위하여 적응적 링잉제거 필터를 포함한다. 이러한 방식을 기본으로 본 논문에서는 소형 카메라 모듈에서 사용할 수 있는 연산 부하가 적은 디지털 자동초점 기술을 제안한다.

  • 무한물점으로 취급하는 카메라 광학계의 경우, 자동초점(auto-focus) 속도를 빠르게 하기 위해 기존 광학계와 다른 형태로 광학설계를 하게 된다. 이 때문에 군의 개수가 늘어나므로, 기존의 해석적인 방법으로는 궤적 계산이 어렵고, 또한 수치해석적인 방법은 시간이 많이 걸리는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 각 군을 스플라인 보간을 한 뒤, 주어진 뒤정점초점거리와 유효초점거리를 만족하도록 1개 또는 2개 군의 이동량을 해석적으로 구해 줌 궤적을 계산하는 해석적인 방법을 제안하고 이를 유도한다. 이 방법은 무한물점용 줌 렌즈 광학계에서 군수의 제한 없이 모든 광학계에 대해 반복적인 계산없이 해석적인 궤적을 구할 수 있으며, 다양한 예제를 통하여 그 효용성을 보였다.

Competition between Online Stock Message Boards in Predictive Power: Focused on Multiple Online Stock Message Boards

  • This research aims to examine the predictive power of multiple online stock message boards, namely, NAVER Finance and PAXNET, which are the most popular stock message boards in South Korea, in stock market activities. If predictive power exists, we then compare the predictive power of multiple online stock message boards. To accomplish the research purpose, we constructed a panel data set with close price, volatility, Spell out acronyms at first mention.PER, and number of posts in 40 companies in three months, and conducted a panel vector auto-regression analysis. The analysis results showed that the number of posts could predict stock market activities. In NAVER Finance, previous number of posts positively influenced volatility on the day. In PAXNET, previous number of posts positively influenced close price, volatility, and PER on the day. Second, we confirmed a difference in the prediction power for stock market activities between multiple online stock message boards. This research is limited by the fact that it only considered 40 companies and three stock market activities. Nevertheless, we found correlation between online stock message board and stock market activities and provided practical implications. We suggest that investors need to focus on specific online message boards to find interesting stock market activities.

  • ELID grinding is an excellent technique for the mirror grinding of the variety of the advanced metallic or nonmetallic materials. The focus of this study is the development of an automatic-control electrolysis-speed device for the automation of the ELID-grinding process. For the development of the automatic-control electrolysis-speed device, analysis experiments regarding the ELID cycle and oxide-layer removal and creation were conducted according to a truing and dressing process. Also, a comparative experiment was conducted to confirm the variance of the electrolysis speed in accordance with changes of the voltage. The experiment results for the developed automatic-control electrolysis-speed device show that the developed device could control the electrolysis speed according to voltage changes through the use of the data that are monitored during the ELID-grinding process.

  • To achieve rapid new car developments and cost saving, new approaches for automotive general assembly in manufacturing preparations are needed. In this paper, CAD and DMU technologies for design and evaluation of machines and equipments are discussed. Digital Mock-up based on 3-D CAD models usually apply in the area of concept design and design review. We focus on manufacturing preparations of the machine and equipment. Detail procedures, examples and considerations of DMU are suggested in this paper. By applying DMU in the manufacturing preparations of general assembly, time, cost and quality of engineering can be enhanced through engineering collaboration.

타이어 힘 추정을 위한 파라미터 최적화 파제카 모델과 인공 신경망 모델 간의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study between the Parameter-Optimized Pacejka Model and Artificial Neural Network Model for Tire Force Estimation)

  • This paper presents a comparative study between the parameter-optimized Pacejka model and artificial neural network model for the tire force estimation. The two different approaches are investigated and compared in this study. First, offline optimization is conducted based on Pacejka Magic Formula model to determine the proper parameter set for the minimization of tire force error between the model and test data set. Second, deep neural network model is used to fit the model to the tire test data set. The actual tire forces are measured using MTS Flat-Track test platform and the measurements are used as the reference tire data set. The focus of this study is on the applicability of machine learning technique to tire force estimation. It is shown via the regression results that the deep neural network model is more effective in describing the tire force than the parameter-optimized Pacejka model.

  • In an automotive plant, an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) synchronizes material handling flows from a part production line to an auto-assembly line. The part production line transfers parts on small-/large-sized pallets. The products on pallets are temporarily stored on the ASRS, and the ASRS retrieves the products upon request from the auto-assembly line. Each ASRS aisle is equipped with narrow-/wide-width racks for two pallet sizes. An ASRS aisle with narrow-/wide-width racks improves both storage space utilization and crane utilization while requiring delicate ASRS aisle design, i.e., the locations of the narrow-/wide-width racks in an ASRS aisle, and proper operation policies affect the ASRS performance over demand fluctuations. We focus on operation policies involving a common storage zone using wide-width racks for two pallet sizes and a storage-retrieval job-change for a crane based on assembly-line batch size. We model a discrete-event simulation model and conduct extensive experiments to evaluate operation policies. The simulation results address the best ASRS aisle design and suggest the most effective operation policies for the aisle design.

Linking LOD and MEP Items towards an Automated LOD Elaboration of MEP Design

  • Current MEP designs are mostly applied by 2D-based design methods and tend to focus on simple modeling or geometry information expression such as converting 2D-written drawings into 3D modeling without taking advantage of the strength of BIM application. To increase the demand for BIM-based MEP design, geometric information, and property information of each member of the 3D model must be conveniently linked from the phase of the Design Development (DD) to the phase of Construction Document (CD). To conveniently implement a detailed model at each phase, the detailed level of each member of the 3D model must be specific, and an automatic generation of objects at each phase and automatic detailing module for each LOD are required. However, South Korea's guidelines have comprehensive standards for the degree of MEP modeling details for each design phase, and the application of each design phase is ambiguous. Furthermore, in practice, detailed levels of each phase are input manually. Therefore, this paper summarized the detailed standards of MEP modeling for each design phase through interviews with MEP design companies and related literature research. In addition, items that enable auto-detailing with DYNAMO were selected using the checklist for each design phase, and the types of detailed methods were presented. Auto-detailing items considering the detailed level of each phase were classified by members. If a DYNAMO algorithm is produced that automates selected auto-detailing items in this paper, the time and costs required for modeling construction will be reduced, and the demand for MEP design will increase.
