본 연구는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 교양 영어 수업의 실질적인 수업 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 외국인 학습자가 대학 학업 수준의 한국어 능력을 갖추지 못했을 경우 한국어 교수자가 진행하는 교양 영어 수업 내용을 이해하는데 어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 각종 미디어를 활용한 주제 중심의 참여 수업 활동을 제시하였다. 이에 대한 학습자들의 태도와 인식을 분석하기 위해 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 조사 결과 주제 기반 수업에 대한 학습자들의 만족도는 높게 나타났으며(75%) 그 이유로는 배려하는 교수자의 태도, 편안한 수업 분위기, 수업에 대한 재미로 나타났다. 다양한 참여 수업 활동에 대한 학습자들의 만족도 또한 매우 높게 나타났으며 (81.9%) 그 이유로는 학습에 유익, 흥미와 동기 유발, 참여 수업의 효율성인 것으로 나타났다. 국제화 시대 외국인 유학생의 증가 추세에 발맞추어 그들에게 맞는 현실적인 수업 방안과 다양한 수업 활동의 개발이 필요하다.

This paper explored the effects of extensive reading (ER) on Korean university students' L2 reading proficiency and reading rates. This study also illustrated how ER can be integrated into a university English reading class. Seventeen students who took a summer reading course participated in this study. Data were gathered through pre- and post- tests in terms of participants' reading comprehension proficiency and reading rates and post- questionnaire with regard to their attitudes toward L2 storybook reading after they have experienced it. The analysis was carried out using the Paired Samples t-test. It was revealed that ER has a positive effect on the enhancement of the participants' reading comprehension and reading rates. The participants showed their continued intention to read in English and a strong belief that persistent reading in English in the long run will help improve their English. The results of this study confirm the educational values of incorporating ER into university English reading classes. The pedagogical implications for EFL instructors are described.

본 연구는 사내 영어 교육이 직장인의 영어 말하기 능력 향상에 미치는 영향을 조사한 것으로, 교육을 통해 참가자의 영어 말하기 능력이 실제로 상승하는지에 대한 여부와 사내 영어 교육에 대한 참가자의 인식을 파악하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 국내 대기업 종사자 68명이 12주 동안 사내 영어 교육 프로그램에 참가하였으며, 참가자 전원 모두 교육 시작 전과 종료 후 두 차례에 걸쳐 사전 사후 말하기 평가 및 설문에 참여하였다. 연구의 주요 결과 및 시사점을 살펴보면, 교육 참가자의 영어 말하기 능력은 교육 전에 비해 교육 종료 후 대체로 상승하였고, 참가자 대부분이 사내 영어 교육 프로그램에 대해 영어 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 프로그램이라고 긍정적으로 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 최근 기업 내 영어 교육 프로그램이 증가하는데 비해 그에 대한 실증적인 연구가 부족하다는 점을 고려해 볼 때, 본 연구가 갖는 시사점은 크다고 할 수 있다.

무교(巫敎)는 오랫동안 사회의 주도세력에 의해 주변종교 또는 미신으로 치부되었다. 이는 사회를 주도하는 대중매체에 의해 의도적으로 왜곡되어 투영된 잔상이기도 하다. 특히 당대의 문화를 반영하는 첨단 대중매체인 영화에서 무교는 부정적 이미지로 투영되는 경우가 많았다. 객관성과 사실성을 중요하게 여기는 다큐멘터리 영화에서는 무교에 관한 입장이 비교적 중립적이고, 어느 정도 무교 친화적인 정치색을 갖는 다큐멘터리 영화감독들은 무교의 정신세계 또는 전통성 등을 부각시키기 위한 노력을 경주한다. 이글에서는 다큐멘터리 영화에 투영된 무교와 전통음악의 가치를 살펴보았다. 이글에서 다루는 영화는 <사이에서>와 <땡큐 마스터 킴>이다. 이 둘의 비교를 통해 내부인(한국인 감독)과 외부인(외국인 감독)이 각각 투영하고 싶어 하는 무교의 이미지를 파악할 수 있다. <사이에서>는 기승전결을 갖춘 '뮤지컬'로서의 굿을 표현하고자 하였다. 그러나 영화감독은 굿에서 핵심인 음악에 대한 이해가 없었기 때문에 굿음악의 예술성을 전혀 부각시키지 못했다. 무당과 굿에 관한 <사이에서>의 관점은 철저하게 신비함과 영적 능력에 맞춰져 있다. 이런 점에서 이 영화를 통해 우리 굿을 세계에 소개하고 싶었다는 감독의 의도는 그다지 성공적이지 못하다. 이와 반대로 <땡큐 마스터 킴>은 음악인의 시각으로 무당과 굿을 바라다보니 무당과 한국의 예술세계를 중심적으로 다루었다. 굿음악뿐만 아니라 다양한 음악 갈래의 전통적 미학을 소개한다. 영화의 스토리는 우리 문화의 생명수라 할 수 있는 큰 무당을 찾는 서사적 여정으로서 서사무가인 <바리공주>를 연상시키는 것이다. 그리고 이 여정에서 찾는 미학은 외국인의 시각에 비친, 이제는 우리나라 현실에서는 거의 존재하지 않는 '상상의 공동체'의 음악적 산물이다. 그리고 주인공이 찾는 '마스터 킴'은 우리나라에 국한된 것이 아니라 '탈(脫) 영토화'된 음악적 영웅인 것이다. 이런 일련의 음악적 흐름을 통해 외국인 관객들도 굿음악과 무교 세계에 대해 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 것이다. 음악은 '만국공통어(universal language)'이면서도 '비보편적 언어(non-universal language)'로서 한 공동체집단의 특수성을 반영하는 문화이다. 우리의 굿음악은 다른 사회에서는 찾아 볼 수 없는, 우리 문화의 정수를 간직한 매우 비보편적 언어로 이루어진 것이다. <사이에서>의 한국인 감독은 굿의 핵심적 요소인 음악에 대한 이해가 없기에 굿의 본질을 전달하는데 실패했다. 이에 반하여 <땡큐 마스터 킴>의 외국인 감독은 음악가로서의 배경을 통해 굿의 핵심적 요소인 음악을 전면에 부각시키면서 굿의 본질을 전달하는데 성공했다.

South Korea is changing into a multi-cultural society, due to an increase in international marriage, foreign workers and transcultural immigration. In addition, the number of North Korean defectors entering South Korea has increased and now, there are approximately 25000. Therefore, this review have focused on a research that pertains to adaptation and mental health concerns of their children. Children who have immigrated themselves or whose parents have immigrated, might experience language barriers, difficulties in school adjustment, identity confusion and mental health problems. However, their academic performance and developmental status are known to be variable and be affected by socioeconomic status and their parents' educational level. Studies that evaluated the psychological problems of North Korean adolescent refugees' indicated the need for interests in both emotional and behavioral problems. The risk factors of North Korean adolescent refugees' mental health are suggested to be past traumatic experiences, long duration of defection and short period of adaptation. When mental health professionals provide assessment and treatment, they should consider the pre- and post-migration experiences & cultural background that affect the illness behaviors and attitudes toward mental illnesses. Lastly, the majority of children with multi-cultural background are still under an adolescent period and we should follow up with long-term perspectives.

본 연구는 미국 내 거주하는 한국 국적을 가진 5. 6세 아동을 대상으로 그들의 초기 학교 적응에 관련된 변인을 가족, 학교, 또래, 그리고 아동의 언어발달의 측면에서 분석하는데 주목적을 두었다. 또한 연구대상의 아동을 적응 집단과 부적응 집단으로 구분하고 두 집단 어머니의 양육태도 및 방식을 심층면접을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 언어발달, 또래관계, 학교경험이 아동의 초기 학교 적응에 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 언어발달이 아동의 초기 학교적응에 가장 영향력 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 또한 경로분석 결과, 아동의 언어발달은 또래관계, 학교경험, 그리고 초기 학교적응의 관계에서 중요한 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 적응집단과 부적응 두집단 어머니들과 심층면접에서도 어머니의 양육신념은 아동의 언어발달 및 초기학교적응에 중요한것으로 나타났다.

Purpose: This descriptive research was carried out to identify how high school students' attitude to death and their meaning of life were affected by hospice volunteering and death education. Methods: This study is based on a structured questionnaire designed for 180 high school students who were given death education while doing volunteer work at non-profit hospice hospitals and another 288 high school students not doing any hospice volunteer work. The collected data was processed by the SPSS 20.0 program and then analyzed by $x^2$ test, t-test and ANOVA test. Results: High school students' attitude to death and their meaning of life showed significant differences depending on whether or not they had volunteered at hospice hospitals. The group with hospice volunteering experience tended to be more negative about death and have a higher meaning of life compared to those without hospice volunteering experience. Students with proper hospice recognition made up 52.4%, those who expressed hopes to receive hospice-care themselves if necessary accounted for 70.5%, and those who said they would like to take care of their family members either at home or at a hospice center if any of them got incurably sick comprised 59.0%. Those who thought dignified death is to be with one's family or any other meaningful person were 47.6% and 18.5% of the students thought that 'thinking they had led a meaningful life' was the core of a dignified death. Conclusion: Given the above results, it became clear that hospice volunteering and death education can affect high school students' meaning of life and their attitudes toward death.

본 연구는 초등교사들을 대상으로 로봇활용교육의 테크놀로지내용교수지식(TPACK)에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교사들의 개인적 배경(성별, 교직경력, 테크놀로지 활용교육 연수)과 심리·철학적 배경(테크놀로지 활용교육에 대한 태도 및 신념) 및 학교 배경(테크놀로지 활용교육과 관련된 학교의 분위기, 지원, 시설) 및 에 대해서 살펴보고, 이 중 중요한 요인이 어떤 것인지 살펴보았다. 설문조사는 온라인 도구을 통해서 이루어졌으며, 총 121명의 초등학교 교사들이 참여하였다. 연구결과, 개인적 배경요인에서 테크놀로지 활용교육 연수와 학교의 분위기 및 지원이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 개인의 심리철학적 배경인 테크놀로지 활용교육에 대한 태도와 교육적 신념 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 고려한 요인 중 어떠한 요인이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는지 살펴본 결과, 테크놀로지 활용교육에 대한 학교의 분위기와 교사들의 연수가 교사들의 TPACK 수준에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 현직 교사들의 로봇활용교육에 대한 TPACK수준을 알아볼 수 있었으며, 추후 로봇활용교육을 효과적으로 진행하기 위해서 교사들로 하여금 어떠한 준비를 해야 하는지와 어떻게 지원할 수 있는지에 대한 근거를 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

이 연구는 청소년의 세계시민의식에 미치는 개인수준과 학교수준 변인의 영향력을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국의 세계시민교육에 있어 시사점을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 국제시민교육연구(ICCS) 2009 자료를 토대로 2수준의 위계적 선형 모형(Hierarchical Linear Model, HLM)을 활용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 여학생이 양성평등, 타문화 출신자에 대한 평등 인식, 이민자에 대한 평등인식에 있어서 남학생에 비해 긍정적인 태도를 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 가정에서 사용하는 언어와 시험언어의 차이에 따라서 청소년의 세계시민의식 수준의 차이점이 나타났다. 부모의 학력과 직업지위는 대체로 청소년의 세계시민의식 수준에 영향을 미쳤고, 청소년의 정치사회적 이슈에 대한 관심 정도에는 부모의 영향력이 매우 크게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 청소년의 세계시민의식 함양에 있어 부모의 역할이 중요하다는 점을 시사한다. 학교수준에서는 교사학생관계와 학생참여의 가치가 세계시민의식 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학교 현장에서 세계시민교육을 추진하는데 있어 학교풍토 변화에 대한 고민이 필요하다.

Purpose: The purpose of this survey was to assess the satisfaction of patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain with physical therapy (PT) in Busan, Daegu, and Kyeongsang provinces using a Korean-language version of the patient satisfaction questionnaire with physical therapy service (PSPT). Methods: A total of 654 patients, having PT for their musculoskeletal pains, participated. Consenting subjects completed a 20-item PSPT on their $6^{th}$ or last treatment day. Simple descriptive statistics were used for respondent characteristics, and mean of satisfaction score in each item. Regression analysis was performed on each item of the questionnaire. Results: 654 subjects responded during or after their PT services. 297 (45.5%) of them were male and the most common site of pain was the spine. The mean of each item score (1-5) ranged from 2.14 for "my therapist did not listen to my concerns" to 4.12 for "my therapist treated me respectfully". Receptionist's attitude, registration process, service time of the hospital, and answer to the patient's questions greatly affected the general satisfaction of the respondents. Conclusion: The results showed high levels of satisfaction to the general process for obtaining treatment as well as the therapist's attitudes toward their patients. They may provide valuable patients' feedback regarding PT service for musculoskeletal pain. Therefore, it may be used by physical therapists to improve future patient experiences with a view to improving the patient's attendance and compliance with the PT service protocols for patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain.
