Purpose - This study investigated the relationship among cultural disposition (Chemyeon, Noonchi, Woozzul), media use, and attitude toward luxury goods consumption. Research design, data, and methodology - We analyzed online survey data for 300 Korean Women between 20 and 39 years of age who lived in Seoul, capital of South Korea. We used multiple regression analysis to examine the relative influence of cultural orientation on cognition of luxury goods, Sobel test. to determine mediating effect, and a two-way analysis of variance in IBM SPSS 23.0. Results - The finding suggests that cultural disposition (Chemyeon, Noonchi, conspicuous Woozzul) correlated significantly with perceived self-identity, attitude toward luxury goods. The effects of Chemyeon, Noonchi, and selfish Woozzul on the attitude toward luxury goods was fully mediated by perceived self-identity. However, association between conspicuous Woozzul and attitude toward luxury goods was partially mediated by perceived self-identity. Regarding media effects, the results indicate that there were interaction effects between selfish Woozzul and amount of time spent on TV on attitude toward luxury goods, as well as between selfish Woozzul and amount of time spent on Internet. Conclusions - These findings suggest that luxury goods consumption of Korean young women is consumer behavior that reflects individual cultural disposition and media use.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the level of nursing students' knowledge, attitude and behavior toward the elderly; correlations between the variables; and the factors influencing the behavior. Methods: Data were collected by 380 nursing students using a self-questionnaire from February 13th to 24th of 2017. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise linear regression with SPSS WIN 19.0. Result: The scores of knowledge, attitude and behavior toward elderly were 11.96 points (range 0~25), 4.51 points (range 1~7), 3.48 points (range 1~4), respectively. Significant differences were found in knowledge, attitude and behavior according to volunteer experience. There were positive correlations between the three variables. Factors influencing the behavior were volunteer experiences and the attitude toward the elderly, which explained about 17.7% of total variance. Conclusion: These results indicate a need to develop the gerontological nursing education program to lead to an increase of positive attitudes including volunteer work for the elderly. Accordingly, the program will help strengthen the nursing students' positive behavior toward the elderly.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify attitudes of adolescents toward suicide. Methods: Q-methodology which provides a method of analyzing the subjectivity of each item was used. Thirty middle and high school students classified 37 selected statements into a normal distribution using a 9 point scale. Collected data were analyzed using the Quanl PC Program. Results: Three types of attitudes toward suicide were identified. The first type (opposing suicide-moral minded) showed an attitude of opposing suicide and thinking that suicide is a sin. The second type (understanding-empathizing suicidal person) showed an attitude of understanding the situation of the adolescents who has suicidal ideation and empathizing with them. The third type (ambivalent attitude) showed an attitude of understanding the suicidal person but, at the same time, opposing suicide. Conclusion: Results of the study indicate that different approaches to suicide prevention programs should be developed based on the three types of suicide attitudes among adolescents.

Purpose: The researchers reviewed the previous studies on the psychological anxiety and economic damage during the recent COVID-19 pandemic to understand the satisfaction, awareness and attitude of the residents in Jeju, Korea. Research design, data and methodology: 215 samples based on self-reported survey were collected for path analysis focused on controlling variables in demographic characteristics in PLS-SEM using Smart PLS 3.0. Results: The researchers found the Satisfaction with COVID-19 Prevention Measures and the Awareness of Tourism Crisis affect Attitude toward Tourism of the residents with the explanatory power (R2 = 0.209). Age was found to be the only significant controlling variable in this model for the Awareness of Tourism Crisis to Attitude toward Tourism. Conclusions: The attitude toward tourism is influenced by the level of satisfaction of the prevention service for COVID-19 as well as the awareness of the crisis. Residents have different level of the tourism crisis awareness by the status of their economic activities while there is no differences in all age groups for satisfaction in the quarantine service. The study suggests that the importance of the public health service should be preferentially concerned for residents to have stable economic activities where the tourism is the major industry.

Purpose: The survey was performed to explore nurses' attitudes toward migrant wives in Korean society. Method: Four hundred thirty-eight respondents were recruited from 2 acute hospitals from 2 different geological areas. The attitude inventory to measure attitude toward migrant wives was utilized, which includes 6 factors such as prejudice, reliability, offensiveness, interests, acceptance, and influence. Result: The overall attitude was slightly positive (3.23) and reliability was the only non-positive scoring factor. Among the general characteristics education level showed a significant difference in 5 factors consistently compared to other characteristics. Conclusion: It can be concluded that Korean nurses tend to take a neutral to slightly positive attitude toward migrant wives. Therefore, any influence from nurses' attitudes related to migrant wives can be ignored. Obstacles or barriers which could hamper nursing care for migrant wives need to be identified and studies of strategies to overcome any existing barriers are called for.

The mean score of scientific conception of elementary school students was 12.89. The mean score of attitude to science was 247.29. The mean score of intelligence was 109.93. 2. The correlation coefficient between scientific conception and intelligence (r=.5098)was relatively high(p<.001). The correlation coefficient between attitude to science and scientific conception(r=.2364) was low(p<.001). 3. Significant difference on science conception was found among grade levels(p<.001). Significant difference on science conception was not found between sex (p>.05). 4. The subjects were divided into 4 groups by intelligence and attitude toward science.
