  • 대기 플라즈마 용사(APS)법을 이용한 지르코니아 열차폐 코팅의 보다 효과적인 온도 제어를 위해서는 기판 온도에 영향을 미치는 매개 변수에 대한 이해가 필수적이며 실험 데이터를 기반으로 한 더 많은 결과가 필요하다. 본 연구는 APS (atmospheric plasma sprayed) 공정에서 기판 온도 제어에 관한 연구를 목적으로 한다. 특히, APS 기판 코팅과정에서 기판 표면 온도 제어를 위한 공랭 시스템, 플라즈마 가스 흐름, 분말 공급 속도, 로봇 속도 및 기판소재 영향 등을 보고하고 있다. 이러한 체계적인 접근은 APS 방식의 표면 코딩에서 온도를 제어하는데 도움이 되며, 이는 코팅 품질의 향상으로 이어질 것이다.

Effect of cold plasma treatment on the quantitative compositions of silkworm powder

  • Atmospheric-pressure plasma technique is a technology for sterilizing agricultural product. In this study, dielectric barrier discharge plasma was applied to silkworm powder for 1 to 5 h with less than 2 ppm of $O_3$ and $NO_2$. Quantitative compositions including proximate contents, mineral and heavy metal contents, fatty acids, vitamins, and DNJ contents were measured. Proximate contents of silkworm powder were protein (57.2%), fat (9.9%), fiber (4.6%), ash (10.1%), and moisture (5.7%). These compositions were not affected by the treatment of plasma. Silkworm powder has 5 abundant minerals potassium (K), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), calcium (Ca), and magnesium (Mg). Among these minerals, plasma treatment decreased the contents of P and S sharply from 732.3 to 176.8, and 492.7 to 185.2 mg/100g, respectively. Heavy metal contents including lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), and mercury (Hg) were not detected in the silkworm powder. Five vitamins such as ascorbic acid (13.6 mg/100g), riboflavin (5.4 mg/100g), ${\beta}$-carotene (1.8 mg/100g), niacin (0.6 mg/100g), and thiamine (0.4 mg/100g) were not significantly changed by plasma treatment. Silkworm powder is composed of 30 parts saturated fatty acids and 70 parts unsaturated ones. The fatty acid composition was not significantly changed by plasma treatment. The DNJ content of silkworm powder (3.72 mg/g) was also nearly constant within the experimental condition of plasma treatment.

분말성형법으로 제조된 Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 접점소재의 미세조직 및 특성 (Microstructure and Characteristics of Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 Contact Materials by Powder Compaction)

  • In this study, we report the microstructure and characteristics of Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 contact materials using a controlled milling process with a subsequent compaction process. Using magnetic pulsed compaction (MPC), the milled Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 powders have been consolidated into bulk samples. The effects of the compaction conditions on the microstructure and characteristics have been investigated in detail. The nanoscale SnO2 phase and microscale Bi2O3 phase are well-distributed homogeneously in the Ag matrix after the consolidation process. The successful consolidation of Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 contact materials was achieved by an MPC process with subsequent atmospheric sintering, after which the hardness and electrical conductivity of the Ag-SnO2-Bi2O3 contact materials were found to be 62-75 HV and 52-63% IACS, respectively, which is related to the interfacial stability between the Ag matrix, the SnO2 phase, and the Bi2O3 phase.

대기압 플라즈마 처리 자소엽 추출물 첨가 유화형 소시지의 품질 특성 (Quality Properties of Emulsion Sausages with Added the Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Treated Extract of Perilla frutescens Britton var. acuta Kudo)

  • 본 연구는 대기압 플라즈마 처리 자소엽 추출물이 첨가된 소시지의 품질 특성을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구를 위해 자소엽 추출물에 대기압 플라즈마를 처리하여 7.5g kg-1의 아질산 이온이 함유된 자소엽 추출물 분말을 제조하였으며, 아질산염(Control), 셀러리 분말(Celery) 및 자소엽 추출물 분말(PTP)를 이용 아질산 이온이 70mg kg-1첨가된 소시지를 제조하였다. 소시지의 잔존 아질산 이온 함량 측정결과 PTP에서 저장 21일 동안 잔존 아질산 이온 함량이 가장 낮았으며, Control 및 Celery와 비교하여 PTP에서 저장 중 총 호기성 미생물수가 높은 것으로 확인되었다(p<0.05). 소시지의 저장 중 malondialdehyde 함량은 PTP에서 Control 및 Celery에 비해 유의적으로 낮음이 확인되었다(p<0.05). 소시지의 육색 측정 결과 모든 저장일차에서 PTP가 낮은 L* 값과 높은 b*값을 보였다(p<0.05). 이로 인해 소시지의 관능평가에서 PTP가 Control 및 Celery와 비교하여 낮은 육색 선호도를 보였으며, 풍미 또한 가장 낮은 점수를 받았다. 본 연구의 결과 대기압 플라즈마 처리 자소엽 분말은 천연 아질산 소재로서 염지식육 가공식품 제조에 이용이 적합하지 않음이 확인되었다. 하지만 천연물 추출물에 대기압 플라즈마 처리를 통해 아질산 이온을 생성하여 천연 아질산 소재의 제조가 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 염지 식육 가공식품의 관능적 품질에 부정적인 영향이 없는 천연물을 탐색하고 이를 플라즈마 처리를 통해 천연 아질산 소재로 개발하면 합성 아질산염 대체가 가능한 천연 아질산 소재로서 육가공품의 염지 공정에 이용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

TiO2 담지 세라믹 필터를 활용한 아세톤 제어에 관한 연구 (Reduction of Gaseous Acetone by using TiO2 Coated Woven Filters)

  • A new type of catalytic filers has been developed in this work. A porous photocatalytic filter was prepared by coating the titania (anatase phase) powder onto the woven metal mesh. The coating sol was prepared with unique cera-mic binder, and would assist drying condition and enhance the mechanical strength of the final ceramic filers. As a result of the test for acetone decomposition, it was found to be quite effective for the photocatalytic reaction as good at conventional glass reactors which were coated inside. The present filter type reactor is expected as one of plausible devices for the simultaneous treatment of gas - particulate materials.

초음파조사에 의한 염화불화탄소(CFC)의 분해 (Decomposition of Chlorofluorocarbon by Sonication)

  • The sonolytic decomposition of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC 113) and several alternative compounds, such as HCFC 225ca, HCFC 225cb, and HFC 134a, in.aqueous solutions was investigated. The CFC 113 with a high volatility and a low solubility in water was rapidly decomposed with increasing sonication time. The decomposition rates were influenced by the initial concentration of CFC 113, the reaction temperature, and the gas/liquid phase volume ratio but were independant of the pH of solution. The predominant pathway of the decomposition of CFC 113 by sonication was not the oxidation by OH radicals but the pyrolysis with high temperature and pressure inside of the cavitation bubble. The pyrolysis in the cavitation bubble resulted in an almost complete mineralization of CFC 113 with the high efficient formation of inorganic products (Cl$^{[-10]}$ , F$^{[-10]}$ , CO, $CO_2$). The addition of zinc powder on the decomposition of CFC 113 by sonication caused an acceleration of the decomposition. Also, HCFCs and HFC 134a were found to be readily decomposed by the pyrolysis induced from the sonication.

Effect of the Raw Material and Coating Process Conditions on the Densification of 8 wt% Y2O3-ZrO2 Thermal Barrier Coating by Atmospheric Plasma Spray

  • The 8 wt% yttria($Y_2O_3$) stabilized zirconia ($ZrO_2$), 8YSZ, a typical thermal barrier coating (TBC) for turbine systems, was fabricated under different starting powder conditions and coating parameters by atmospheric plasma spray (APS) coating process. Four different starting powders were prepared by conventional spray dry method with different additive and process parameter conditions. As a result, large- and small-size spherical-type particles and Donut-type particles were obtained. Dense structure of 8YSZ coating was produced when small size spherical-type or Donut-type particles were used. On the other hand, 8YSZ coating with a porous structure was formed from large-size spherical-type particles. Furthermore, a segmented coating structure with vertical cracks was observed after post heat treatment on the surface of dense structured coating by argon plasma flame at an appropriate gun distance and power condition.

  • The HTCC based multilayer structure plasma head unit have some difficulties in fabrication due to complicated post-processes, such as heat treatment at reduced atmosphere, re-bonding of each layer, and silver metallization. On the other hand, LTCC based technology provides relatively simple process for multilayer plasma unit except weak mechanical properties. To overcome this problem a combined scheme using both LTCC and HTCC technology has been developed in our group, recently. In this work, we report the structural design, materials selection, joining of LTCC with HTCC substrate, and co-firing process for the fabrication of multilayered atmospheric plasma head unit.

WC-Co 초경합금의 산화거동 (Oxidation Behavior of WC-Co Hardmetal)

  • The oxidation behavior of 91 WC-9Co hardmetal in weight percentage has been studied in the present work as a part of the development of recycling process. The morphological and compositional changes of the WC-Co hardmetal with oxidation time at 90$0^{\circ}C$ were analyzed by using surface observation and X-ray diffraction. respective]y. As the oxidation time increased, the WC-Co hardmetal was continuously expanded to form porous oxide mixtures of $CoWO_4$ and $WO_3$. The morphology of porous oxide mixture was basically dependent on initial shape of the WC-Co hardmetal. From thermo-gravimetric (TG) analysis, it was found that the oxidation rate was increased with increasing oxidation temperature and oxygen content in the flowing atmospheric gas. The fraction of oxidation versus time curves showed S-curve relationship at a given of oxidation temperature. These oxidation behaviors of the WC-Co hardmetal were discussed in terms of previously proposed kinetic models.

폐 인듐주석산화물 타겟의 재활용 기술 (Recycling Method of Used Indium Tin Oxide Targets)

  • In this study, we demonstrated a simple and eco-friendly method, including mechanical polishing and attrition milling processes, to recycle sputtered indium tin oxide targets to indium tin oxide nanopowders and targets for sputtered transparent conductive films. The utilized indium tin oxide target was first pulverized to a powder of sub- to a few- micrometer size by polishing using a diamond particle coated polishing wheel. The calcination of the crushed indium tin oxide powder was carried out at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, based on the thermal behavior of the indium tin oxide powder; then, the powders were downsized to nanometer size by attrition milling. The average particle size of the indium tin oxide nanopowder was decreased by increasing attrition milling time and was approximately 30 nm after attrition milling for 15 h. The morphology, chemical composition, and microstructure of the recycled indium tin oxide nanopowder were investigated by FE-SEM, EDX, and TEM. A fully dense indium tin oxide sintered specimen with 97.4% of relative density was fabricated using the recycled indium tin oxide nanopowders under atmospheric pressure at $1500^{\circ}C$ for 4 h. The microstructure, phase, and purity of the indium tin oxide target were examined by FE-SEM, XRD, and ICP-MS.
