  • Purpose: This study examined the injury and rehabilitation of athletes with disabilities in racket sports projects (i.e., badminton, table tennis, and wheelchair tennis). In addition, the characteristics of each project and the differences among those projects are discussed. Methods: Business team athletes with disabilities in racket sport were enrolled as subjects (i.e., 19 badminton athletes, 19 table tennis athletes, and 19 wheelchair tennis athletes). The real conditions of the injury, injury severity, injury site, symptoms, and rehabilitation methods after injury were analyzed. Results: No significant differences were observed among the actual condition, injury severity, symptoms and the methods of rehabilitation on racket sport for athletes (i.e., badminton, table tennis, and wheelchair tennis athletes) with disability. The differences were focused mainly on the injury sites due to the characteristics of the different projects, and specific technical actions. Conclusion: This study examined the real condition of the injury, injury severity, injury site, symptoms and rehabilitation methods after the injury on the rackets (i.e., badminton, table tennis, and wheelchair tennis) athletes with disabilities. The data can be used to eliminate the incidence of injury and minimize the injury severity for racket athletes with disabilities. In addition, it can also be used for the disabled, who like racket projects, as the fundamental material to prevent injury and assist in recovery.

  • This study is to present more effective starting skills through analysis of kinematic characteristics of starting motions in 300m Time Trials of Inline Skating. To achieve this goal, 6 athletes, 3 in the national team and 3 in business teams were chosen and their starting motions were examined with three-dimensional image analyses. The results of analyses in regard of positions and speed of the bodily center and angles, angular velocity, and linear velocity of articulations of lower limbs by sections of starting motions are as follows: In case of the central position, though it is effective to reduce the air resistance by lowering the upper part of the body maximumly, it is reasonable to accelerate by raising the upper part of the body to some degree for the running posture at the lower speed in the starting section. In the starting section, it is efficient to minimize the period of time in touching the ground. for this, it is necessary to train for taking motions without slippage while touching the ground. While 3 athletes in business teams kicked the ground as running right after the starting, the others in the national team slid on the ground. As the number of steps increased, the movable speed changed quickly. Thus the movable speed of athletes in the national team indicated big differences in two to three steps. If these factors are well supported, the push-away starting method might be better than the running starting method in terms of improvement of records.

  • Purpose: A new form of sports human rights platform is needed for policy-related officials, athletes, leaders, and parents to easily share information on sports human rights and to promote communication between the sports community and the outside. Research design, data, and methodology: Participants were collected from athletes (n=3,007) who were registered in Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. Participants were asked to respond the survey items measuring their experiences of human right violations in sport. Descriptive analysis, t-test, and ANOVA were used to analyze data. Results: The platform should include information on prevention and safety of human rights violations during sports activities, procedures and methods for reporting damage, countermeasures, leader education programs, human rights protection guidelines, roles and supervision of sports organizations and institutions, and related statues. It can form a community as well as exchange information in the Internet space through the operation of bulletin boards by professional athletes, student athletes, parents, and leaders, and plays a role in crisis counseling or information provision. Given the reality that players can be blocked from the outside world, information communication channels on SNS can be a useful means of protecting and improving players' human rights. Conclusions: Therefore, it is necessary to provide a foundation for creating related platforms so that sports human rights sites or SNS can be operated voluntarily. Implications and future directions were discussed.

In order to accomplish these purposes, this study surveyed from September to October in 2010. The final subjects in the analysis were 345 female athletes who are belong to school athletic team, professional team, business team, and national team. The data were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 10.0 for conducting multiple group analysis. The main results of this study are as follows; First, those who were suffered by emotional violence were 62.4%; those who are damaged by physical violence were 28.6% among the participants in this study. In case of intention to sport continuance, when measured by a rule of five, was average 3.15. 29.9% of the female athletes scored above the standard of depression. Second, depression turned out to have a partial mediating effect within the relationship where violence in sports has effect on intention to sport continuance. Third, between experimental and non-experimental group on help-seeking among female athletes, there was a statistically significant difference in the structural relationship. This means that help-seeking has moderating effect within the path of violence in sports affecting depression. Based on the results, this study suggested that there is a strong need for intervention for the both prevention and cure of the sports violence. It is necessary to develop preventive programs and coping strategies on female athletes' depression and intention to sport continuance.

Through this, it is intended to accumulate information and authenticity research on human resource management of unemployment teams. The authenticity scale was developed through a total of 6 steps by referring to previous studies on the scale development process at domestic and international. In the first stage, the basic composition was confirmed through the review of previous studies. In the second stage, preliminary questions were drawn through in-depth interviews with 13 players belonging to the business team. In the third stage, the authenticity attribute and structure were confirmed through an expert meeting. In the fourth stage, the appropriateness of the items was verified through exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis of 248 people. In the 5th stage, 288 subjects were tested for construct validity, convergent validity, and discriminant validity through confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and reliability analysis. The sixth step was to verify the relationship through regression analysis with the performance variables to examine the applicability and predictability of the developed scale. Through the above procedures, 4 dimensions of organizational authenticity and 18 measurement items were developed, and 3 dimensions of leader authenticity and 18 measurement items were developed.
