A Study on the Interface Circuit Creation Algorithm using the Flow Chart (흐름도를 이용한 인터페이스 회로 생성 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we describe the generation method of interface logic which replace between IP & IP handshaking signal with asynchronous logic circuit. Especially, we suggest the new asynchronous sequential "Waveform to VHDL" code creation algorithm by flow chart conversion : Wave2VHDL - if only mixed asynchronous timing waveform is presented the level type input and pulse type input for handshaking, we convert waveform to flowchart and then replace with VHDL code according to converted flowchart. Also, we confirmed that asynchronous electronic circuits are created by applying extracted VHDL source code from suggest algorithm to conventional domestic/abroad CAD Tool, Finally, we assured the simulation result and the suggest timing diagram are identical.

  • This paper presents an asynchronous decentralized optimization method to coordinate energy trading between electricity markets. The proposed method decomposes the market optimization problem of interconnected electricity markets into individual market optimization problems. The decomposed problem is solved by using the Interior Point/Cutting Plane (IP/CP) method with asynchronous communication model. A numerical example is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose an asynchronous behavior control algorithm of the swarm robot for surrounding intruders when detected an intruder in a surveillance environment. The proposed method is divided into three parts: First, we proposed the method for the modeling of a state of the swarm robot. Second, we proposed an asynchronous behavior control algorithm for the surrounding an intruder by the swarm robot. Third, we proposed a control method for the collision avoidance with the swarm robot. Finally, we show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through some experiments.

  • This paper is concerned with a computer-aided state assignment, that is, coding race-free internal states of asynchronous sequential circuits, and a method for minimizing the combinational network of asynchronous sequential circuits. The FORTRAN version of the peoposed algorithm results in race-free state assignments and reduction of the number of connections and gates with near minimal hardware cost. Some examples are designed by the proposed computer program to illustrate the algorithm in this paper. Finally, results are compared with those of the other methods.

  • The problem of controlling asynchronous sequential machines is addressed in this paper. Corrective control means to make behavior of an asynchronous sequential machine equal to that of a given model. The main objective is to develope a corrective controller, especially when a model is given as nondeterministic, or a set of reference models. The structure of corrective control system for asynchronous sequential machines is addressed first, followed by description of nondeterministic models. Then, we propose a method for analyzing reachability of asynchronous machines and nondeterministic models. Proposed methods are demonstrated in an example.

An Interrupt Coalescence Method for Improving Performance of Asynchronous Serial Communication (비동기 시리얼 통신의 성능 향상을 위한 인터럽트 통합 기법)

  • The request of interrupt accompanies a context switching. If the interrupt is frequently requested, this overhead of context switching can reduce seriously the performance of embedded systems. In order to reduce processing overhead due to frequently requested communication interrupts at Asynchronous Serial Communication, this paper introduces the method of Expanded Asynchronous Serial Communication with the Interrupt Coalescence(IC) that accumulates a fixed number of interrupts and processes them in one time. we implement the existing Asynchronous Serial Communication that requests communication interrupts by one byte at an LN2440SBC embedded board with a uC/OS-II and compare interrupt processing time for the performance evaluation about proposed method. As a result, the communication interrupt processing time of proposed method appears in case of low speed(9,600 bps), the decline of an average 25.18% at transmission, the decline of an average 41.47% at reception. and in case of hight speed(115,200 bps), the decline of an average 16.67% at transmission, the decline of an average 25.61% at reception.

  • In this paper, a sensor bias estimation method with pseudo measurement for asynchronous multisensor systems is proposed. The proposed bias estimation method separates the local filter which estimates the target state with biased measurements into two parts, one is bias part, the other is target state part. By using these two parts, the algorithm generates the pseudo bias measurement for estimating bias, and then eliminates bias of local track through bias compensation. Finally, the proposed algorithm is evaluated by comparing with the existing EXX method.

Communicative Information Technologies and Development Strategies of ODR from the Practitional Perspective (의사소통 정보기술과 ODR발전전략 : 실무적 관점을 중심으로)

  • The ODR can be categorized into four distinctive types. First type is the asynchronous non-demeanour method. Second type is the asynchronous demeanour method. Third type is the synchronous demeanour method. Fourth type is the synchronous demeanour method. A typical example of the asynchronous and non-demeanour method is e-mail. The example of the synchronous and non-demeanour method is tele conference. The example of the asynchronous demeanour method is video recordings. The example of synchronous and demeanour method is video conference. The primary benefit of e-mail is to avoid the physical violence. But the costs of email is the lack of emotional aspects of disputants. The benefits of tele conference is ease of use, and reduces the negative aspects of face to face communication. but the costs are limitation of the exchange of written information. The benefits of video conference is the approximation of face to face communication by providing oral as well as visual communication. but it is insufficient to represent eye contact. The common limitations of ODR are as follows. First is the lack of human face. Second is the neutrality of arbitrators and mediators. Third is the authenticity of electronic document. Fourth is the digital divide across South and North and generations. Fifth is the cross-cultural communication. The development strategy of ODR is the training and education of arbitrators and mediators in the area of writing skill. Furthermore, it is necessary to supplement the weakness of email via diverse kinds of expressions to show emotions. Finally, it is necessary to train neutrals in the area of cross-cultural communication.

  • Federated Learning is divided into synchronous federated learning and asynchronous federated learning. Asynchronous federated learning has a time advantage over synchronous federated learning, but asynchronous federated learning still has some challenges to obtain better performance. In particular, preventing performance degradation in non-IID training datasets, selecting appropriate clients, and managing stale gradient information are important for improving model performance. In this paper, we deal with K-asynchronous federated learning by using non-IID datasets. In addition, unlike traditional method using static K, we proposed an algorithm that adaptively adjusts K and we can reduce the learning time. Additionally, the we show that model performance is improved by using stale gradient handling method. Finally, we use a method of judging model performance to obtain strong model stability. Experiment results show that overall algorithm can obtain advantages of reducing training time, improving model accuracy, and improving model stability.

Multisensor Bias Estimation with Serial Fusion for Asynchronous Sensors (순차적 정보융합을 이용한 비동기 다중 레이더 환경에서의 바이어스 추정기법)

  • This paper presents a sensor bias estimation method with serial fusion for asynchronous multisensory systems. Serial fusion processes the sensor measurements in a first-come-first-serve basis and it plays an essential role in asynchronous fusion in practice. The proposed algorithm generates the bias measurements using fusion estimates and sensor measurements for bias estimation, and compensates the sensor biases in fusion tracks. A simulation study indicates that the proposed algorithm has the superior performance in bias estimation and accurate tracking.
