Parkland, which is one of the pioneer brands in men's fashion in Korea, specifically suits, has recently undertaken bold brand repositioning activities to respond to the fast-changing environment and to overcome limitations in its current image positioning. As a result, in a short time period, Parkland achieved remarkable marketing and communication success. This case study explains how Parkland drew successful brand repositioning from the fierce fashion market. This study systematically analyzes the brand repositioning strategy process and implementation strategy used to resolve the conceptual and structural issues of Parkland as a mature brand. To this end, this study assesses Parkland's brand strategy focusing on brand environment and positioning. Accordingly, the study analyzes the target concept and basic direction of the brand repositioning in terms of the repositioning strategy process, and from an integrated marketing perspective, examines the specific implementation program for repositioning. Finally, the study addresses the outcomes of brand repositioning efforts as well as steps to be taken in the future.
The Hanryu(韓流) phenomenon in and around Asia looks like slowing down lately. At that time, the research about contents that can inform the high traditional culture of Korea is useful. The references which can make a study about cultural clothes, especially paintings, let us to infer the life of the people of that period. In this research, I try to study the characteristics of customs, symbol and costumes by analyzing the paintings of Shin, Yun-Bok who was genre painter of the late Chosun. The mens are wearing dopo(道袍) and are putting sejodae(細條帶) around their waists and gat(黑笠). Also, We can see many different types of job such police, official man, a buddhist priest, a barmair, kisaeng and shaman through the costume. Most of women in the paintings, They are wearing Deep blue skirts, banhwoejang pale tone jeogori and tress. We discussed the common lives of the people through genre painting. They have satire, humor, and symbolism. Also, we can look into the various lifestyles, customs of times and seasons, ceremonial occasions, civilian beliefs, and plays ransmitted from the past. The philosophy in Shin, Yun- Bok's genre painting, is close to Taoism not Confucianism.
Turmeric is aromatic, perennial herb, up to 1m high and distributed in East Asia. Parts used of it Rhizomes and is known to be used a medicinal stuff yellow dye stuff from past to nowadays in the Oriental region. The objectives of this study were to investigate and to compare to the dyeability of Turmeric according to pH, temperature, mordants, and the antimicrobial properties of wool dyed with turmeric. The results of this study are as follows: The wavelengths of the strongest absorption of Turmeric extract were 420 nm respectively. The extracted dye from Turmeric has affinity to wool. The dyeing rates are decreased according to diluting times and the dyeing rates are increased according to high temperature. The color of pH 3-7 is yellow green, over pH 9 is turned to orange yellow. The color of the non-mordant sample is yellow but it changed to bright yellow by Al, to orange yellow by Cu mordant, and to brown yellow by Fe mordant. The launder fastness and is not good, 2-4 grade and the light fastness is bad, 2-3 grade, but the dry-cleaning fastness is generally good, 4-5 grade. The fabrics dyed with Turmeric extract showed high antibacterial property on Staphylococcus aureus.
In today's highly unpredictable marketing environment, where the consumer demands and behaviors are continuously and rapidly changing therefore various factors of consumer impulse buying behavior are proving to be challenging for the existing and new business organizations. Shopping has become a relaxing and rejoicing activity for the consumers making impulsive buying as a socially acceptable and common practice. So by taking into account all these aspects, the objective of this study was to understand the factors affecting impulse buying behavior of the consumer. Store atmosphere and fashion involvement were selected as independent variables while consumer impulse buying behavior was taken as dependent variable for this study. Likewise, impulse buying behavior of consumers with different monthly household income was also analyzed in this study. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire from 250 respondents of district Faisalabad, and then it was analyzed by using various statistical techniques. The results indicated a significant positive impact of store atmosphere and fashion involvement on consumer impulse buying behavior. The study also revealed that among consumer groups with different household incomes; at least one group differed from others in impulse buying behavior. These results were consistent with previous literature. These results could provide information to the marketers and retailers for planning and execution of various marketing techniques. Moreover, educators could expand on the findings by developing new studies examining consumer impulse buying behavior.
A rapidly shifting, hyper-sensitive modern fashion industry, coupled with an increasingly developing global environmental concern, has seen to an ever-imperative role for corporate social responsibility (CSR) to play in the successful operation of fashion companies. This study primarily investigates effective measures for successful CSR implementation in both corporate and consumer domains, looking at Patagonia, an exemplar company with an environmental mission, to understand the central contributions of active consumer engagement to the success of CSR initiatives. We explore consumer admiration as a concept necessary to elevate CSR practices from image maintenance to genuine engagement and advocacy, and how such admiration could be cultivated on the consumer-side, investigating perceived CSR authenticity and corporate self-sacrifice as primary determinants. Specifically, we speculate the asymmetric role of consumers' moral identity, revealing that moral identity symbolization positively interacts with both determinants while negatively moderating the relationship of these intentions and consumer admiration. We derive our analysis from diverse international and Korean data, concluding with theoretical and managerial implications for domestic and international companies in pursuit of environmental CSR campaigns that bridge consumer and company, as well as limitations and future research directions.
Various corporates have launched products and brands to meet the diverse needs of consumers. However, an excess of information and products could be collapsed into a choice paradox far from the intention. As an alternative to these problems, curation-based services have recently been in the limelight and can be adopted into e-commerce sites. As one of the earlier studies on the considerable factors of curation services, this study focuses on the online fashion recommendation system in which design quality, interactivity, and perceived usefulness will affect trust, satisfaction, and continued intention to use. In the result, the design quality factor shows a positive effect on satisfaction, but not on the trust. Also, interactivity doesn't demonstrate a significant positive effect on both the satisfaction and the trust factors far from the previous ones but the perceived usefulness had a positive effect on those. In addition, the personalization does not affect a significant effect on the satisfaction factor but on the trust factor. Subsequently, the trust affects the satisfaction, and the satisfaction on the continued intention to use factor, but trust does not significantly affect the continued intention to use directly.
The purpose of this study is to spread the public recognition for the style of Islamic dress has been ignorantly left and provide this as the basic data for Islamic fashion design. This treatise restricts the Islamic scope into the southeast Asia and confuted the study referring to Islam related books, treatise, domestic and foreign fashion magazines as well as newspaper articles, Internet and screen materials. The study results are as follows: Commonly Islam as a term of religious scope means complex cultural body based on Islam. 1. The Islamic social and cultural images were categorized as (1) conservative and sexual (2) simple, static, decorative and rhythmical (3) dark, violent, bright and amusing image. 2. Islamic nations' style of dress was characterized (1) surface decorative dress (2) practical outer garment (3) trousers style. 3. Both men and women basically put on trousers in children's stories and animations. In case of women, they wear skirts and according a social standing, tunic and caftan style jackets. As for men and women, Dey both wear turbans or chadors but in particular, wealthy classes put on a distinguishable turbans and chadors with splendid accessories. 4. The characteristics of Islamic fashion are lace decoration around a sleeve and the waist or blouse and harem pants with a elastic cord. In addition, they are splendid necklace and ring earings looking old, accessories with big pendants and dragging belts. These examples are shown in collections and streets.
The use of clothes dryers is increasing in Korea and throughout Asia, because of preference for the drum type washer dryer. Clothes dryers consume more energy than almost any other home appliance. This paper suggests efficient ways for drying laundry with condensing clothes drier. We dried cotton fabrics with the condensing clothes dryers and observed the energy input, temperature and RH of the dryer during the drying process. In the early stages of drying process, the air temperature inside the clothes dryer decreased and the RH and the drying time increased as the weight of fabrics increased. We found that it was important to consider the total weight of the fabrics that included heat-sensitive fibers. It took more than half the drying time and the energy input for a 2.5 kg load that it did for a 5 kg load. Therefore, drying larger one load was more efficient than divided smaller loads, because increasing the weight of the fabrics reduced the energy input per kg of drying clothes. The lower the initial moisture regains of the fabrics were, the lower the energy input and the drying time were. The energy input for spinning after washing was much less than that for drying in the dryer. Consequently, it is more efficient to reduce the moisture content of the clothes by lengthening the spinning time of the washer to reduce the energy consumption and the drying time. During the drying process opening the door twice for 30 seconds each time lowered the air temperature and the RH of the dryer, but did not affect the moisture regain of the fabrics, the drying time, and the energy input.

Kushan dynasty was located in the middle of Silkroad, from the 1st century BC to the second century AD, where it negotiated with various races. Therefore, the culture of the Kushan has multi cultural elements. The purpose of this study is to understand the life of the ancient Silkroad by accessing this characteristic culture of the Kushan through costume analysis. And the results of this study will be used as a basic data for studying the relationship between Korean ancient costumes and Silkroad costume type. As a research method, literature survey and artifacts analysis were performed in parallel. The results of this study are as follows: The basic type of the Kushan costume was a typical nomadic ethnic type with a long tunic and trousers. Tunic was fastened with a belt and straps at the waist, and the lower part of the belt was wider like a skirt. The tunic was divided into two types: open front and closed front. Because Kushan was originally a nomadic people who lived in Central Asia, the nomadic elements of Central Asia remained unchanged in the early costumes of the Kushan, but over time the details of the costumes changed according to the surrounding political situation. When Kushan negotiated with Parthia, the parthian coat was worn by the influence of them. After occupying Greco Bactria, accepting the Greek culture of Bactria, Kushan's costume was supplemented by the external costume element of drapery, which changed the style of the nomadic costume into a elegant style.
