Ways of Integration of Media and Educational Space: Problems and Solutions

  • The work is devoted to the problem of modernization of the higher education system of Ukraine through the integration of higher education institutions into the European Higher Education Area. Based on the analysis of statistical data, a conclusion was made about the collapse of the higher education system of Ukraine due to a number of problems, which negatively affects the formation of human capital. The importance of international cooperation with the EU in the field of education for the modernization of higher education is substantiated. The institutional principles of formation are investigated, the main priorities of its development at the present stage are determined. The legal bases of European integration of higher education in Ukraine are analyzed. An analysis of the development of international cooperation of Ukrainian universities and their participation in European educational programs. There is a positive tendency to increase the activity of Ukrainian universities in international cooperation, which increases their position in international rankings. Weaknesses of integration processes are revealed and directions of improvement of higher education are offered.

  • The article defines the hypothesis of the research, it is an assumption that the process of forming ICT competence will be effective if: theoretically substantiated, developed and practically implemented a structural and functional model for the formation of ICT competence, taking into account interdisciplinary integration, the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of ICT competence have been determined: interdisciplinary integration as the basis for building an interdisciplinary course, the content of which is aimed at the formation of ICT competence.

공과대학생의 공감능력과 융합태도의 관계 분석 (Relationships between Empathy and Attitudes toward Curricula Integration of Engineering Students)

  • This research aims to examine the relationships between empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration of engineering students. To achieve this goal, first, differences in empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration among engineering students were examined. Second, the effects of attitudes toward curricula integration, as perceived by engineering undergraduate students, on empathy were explored. A total of three hundred and two engineering undergraduate students from three universities in Korea responded to survey based on a two-variables scale. The findings were that, firstly, a positive correlation among sub-factors of empathy and attitudes toward curricula integration was identified. Secondly, attitudes toward curricula integration could explain about 12% of empathy. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on education for promotion of empathy for engineering students.

초등학교 과학교과서에 나타난 과학-예술통합 활동의 분석 (An Analysis of Science-Arts Integration Activities in Elementary School Science Textbooks of Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 과학 교과서에 나타난 과학-예술통합 활동의 현황을 파악하고, 예술적 요소를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2007 개정 교육과정 초등학교 과학 교과서에 나타난 과학-예술통합 활동을 선정하고, 이를 예술 활동의 형태, 기능, 역할에 따라 분석하였다. 또한 Baron과 Eisner(1997)의 디자인 요소를 바탕으로 예술적 요소 분석틀을 개발하여 과학-예술통합 활동에 포함된 예술적 요소를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교과서에 제시된 과학-예술통합 활동에 사용된 예술 형태로는 미술이 가장 많았고, 두 가지 형태를 가진 혼합형, 언어 등이 많이 나타났다. 예술 활동의 기능 측면에서는 학생들에게 직접적으로 예술 활동을 요구하는 직접적 기능이 많은 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 예술 활동의 역할에 관련해서는 응용 및 적용이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 동기 유발과 개념 이해가 같은 비율로 나타났다. 예술적 요소 분석 결과에서는 공감의 증진 요소가 가장 많이 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 미술 형태 위주의 과학-예술통합 활동뿐 아니라 음악, 무용 등 다양한 예술형태를 사용하는 것이 필요하다고 여겨지며, 예술 활동의 역할측면에서도 동기 유발, 개념 이해도 강조해야 할 것이다. 또한 다양한 예술적 요소를 고려한 과학-예술통합 활동의 개발이 이루어질 필요가 있다.

  • 디지털 테크놀로지 시대에 새로운 가치를 추구하려는 노력은 사회 문화 전반 분야뿐만이 아닌 일반 교육계와 문화, 예술교육에도 변화를 요구하고 있다. 가장 큰 변화의 하나는 다른 영역간의 통합과 연계라는 추세가 문화와 예술분야에도 영향을 주면서, 문화와 예술이 통합을 이룬 문화예술 교육을 탄생하기에 이르렀다. 또한 새로운 시대는 디지털 테크놀로지의 활용이 교육 전 영역에서 활발히 사용되고 있으며, 문화 예술교육에도 테크놀로지의 활용이라는 새로운 시도를 요구하고 있다. 본 연구는 음악 테크놀로지를 활용한 문화예술교육에 대하여 이론적으로 알아보았다. 음악 테크놀로지의 활용은 다른 교과간의 통합적 접근으로의 가능성을 보여주며, 문화예술교육 외에 다양한 학문에도 적용이 가능함을 보여주었다. 음악 테크노로지의 활용은 현재 문화예술 교육 분야의 독특성, 전문성, 고유성을 반영해줄 만한 교수학습방법의 학습도구로서 다양한 대상과 상황에서 적용하여 실천적 사례를 쌓음으로서 문화예술 교육 분야를 위한 새로운 교수학습방법으로서의 역할을 할 수 있으리라 생각한다.

  • The article theoretically substantiated, developed and practically implemented a structural and functional model of the formation of ICT competence, taking into account interdisciplinary integration, defines the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of ICT competence: interdisciplinary integration as a basis for building an interdisciplinary course, the content of which is aimed at the formation of ICT competence; the use of IEE, including information, didactic, technological components as a basis for the formation of ICT competence; integration of formal, non-formal and informal education for the implementation the integrity of the acquired knowledge, skills, experience as the basis for the formation of the ICT competence of teachers; creation and use of a set of tasks (educational (UZ), educational and methodological (UMP), educational and professional (UPZ)) as special tools for the formation of ICT competence.

융합인재교육 이론모형 틀에 기반을 둔 통합의료인문학 교육과정 이론모형의 제안 (The Development of a Theoretical Model of Integrated Medical Humanity Curriculum Using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a theoretical model for an integrated medical humanities curriculum based on a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education framework and to provide a guideline for curriculum integration. Three dimensions of integrated curriculum development are competencies, core contents, and elements of integration. Competencies imply the purpose of the medical humanities of a medical school and the exit outcomes of the curriculum. Core contents imply the goals and objectives of the curriculum. We compared the goals and themes of the medical humanities with core attributes of professionalism. Four elements of integration were proposed: units (cases, problem activities, core contents, disciplines/subjects), types (multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary), contexts of integration (life cycle of patients, scope of society), and stages of student development (from student to doctor). It is expected that this theoretical model for an integrated medical humanities curriculum can be used as a guideline for curriculum development and an evaluation criterion for instructional designers and subject matter experts.

Integrated Arts Education Program with AI Literacy

  • 본 연구는 초등학생들의 AI 리터러시 함양을 위한 통합예술교육프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 먼저 AI 리터러시 영역별 목표와 2022 개정 초등학교 교육과정의 미술, 음악, 체육과의 목표 연구, 통합예술교육의 목표와 요소 매트릭스를 이용하여 2개의 주제 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 1차 전문가 타당도 검사를 통해 수정 및 보완 후 학생에게 수업 적용하였고, 학생들의 AI 리터러시 사전/사후 검사, 프로그램에 대한 만족도 조사 결과를 토대로 2차 수정을 거쳤다. 마지막으로 3차 전문가 타당도 검사를 통해 최종 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 초등학생들의 AI리터러시 함양을 위한 융합교육프로그램을 활용되기를 기대한다.

  • The article considers innovative teaching methods used in the system of modern education process.
