  • Recently, super-resolution has been intensively studied only on upscaling models with integer magnification. However, the need to expand arbitrary magnification is emerging in representative application fields of actual super-resolution, such as object recognition and display image quality improvement. In this paper, we propose a model that can support arbitrary magnification by using the weights of the existing integer magnification model. This model converts super-resolution results into the DCT spectral domain to expand the space for arbitrary magnification. To reduce the loss of high-frequency information in the image caused by the expansion by the DCT spectral domain, we propose a high-frequency attention network for arbitrary magnification so that this model can properly restore high-frequency spectral information. To recover high-frequency information properly, the proposed network utilizes channel attention layers. This layer can learn correlations between RGB channels, and it can deepen the model through residual structures.

  • This paper proposes a progressive Image transmission method with a variable magnification hierarchical structure for image processing system. As Introduced in the literature, the progressive image transmission method, uses a fixed magnification rates of either 4 or 1/4. Thus, a sudden in-crease In resolution Is obtained due to a sudden Increase in information. By adapting a variable magnification hlerarchical structure In this research, a gradual increase in resolution Is possible by slowly inrireasing information between hierarchical levels. The simulation results show that a 5.7dB SNR improvemr'nt Is obtained with an Improved compression rate by 0.7 Ult /pel compare to the LP method. It also gives about 1 dB SNR improvement compare to the PCS method at intermediate hierarchical levels.

  • Multi-wavelength holography has a better axial range than single-wavelength holography, thus allowing unambiguous phase imaging. Noise amplification is the limiting factor in multi-wavelength holography as noise is amplified by a factor equivalent to the magnification of the wavelengths. Here, we propose a new algorithm to remove noise amplification in multi-wavelength holography. The proposed method does not use phase unwrapping and removes $2{\pi}$ ambiguities. Experiments and numerical simulations indicated that the proposed method is fast, has low noise, and is useful for measuring samples with arbitrary step heights.

  • Mie particles such as polystylene latex spheres with $3~5{\mu}m$ diameters are easily trapped and freely moved toward an arbitrary position by using the low power He-Ne laser beam focussed by the objective lens with the magnification of 40 X or 100 X. By using this technology, we can successfully arrange Mie particles in the form of the capital letter A. As a result, we can confirm the possibility of the optical tweezer that can readily trap and freely move the Mie particles. icles.

  • The widespread use of thin shell structures has created a need for a systematic method of analysis which can adequately account for arbitrary geometric form and boundary conditions as well as arbitrary general type of loading. Therefore, the stress and analysis of thin shell has been one of the more challenging areas of structural mechanics. A wide variety of numerical methods have been applied to the governing differential equations for spherical and cylindrical structures with a few results applicable to practice. The analysis of axisymmetric spherical shell is almost an every day occurrence in many industrial applications. A reliable and accurate finite element analysis procedure for such structures was needed. Dynamic loading of structures often causes excursions of stresses well into the inelastic range and the influence of geometry changes on the response is also significant in many cases. Therefore both material and geometric nonlinear effects should be considered. In general, the shell structures designed according to quasi-static analysis may fail under conditions of dynamic loading. For a more realistic prediction on the load carrying capacity of these shell, in addition to the dynamic effect, consideration should also include other factors such as nonlinearities in both material and geometry since these factors, in different manner, may also affect the magnitude of this capacity. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the dynamic characteristics of spherical shell. For these purposes, the spherical shell subjected to uniformly distributed step load was analyzed for its large displacements elasto-viscoplastic static and dynamic response. Geometrically nonlinear behaviour is taken into account using a Total Lagrangian formulation and the material behaviour is assumed to elasto-viscoplastic model highly corresponding to the real behaviour of the material. The results for the dynamic characteristics of spherical shell in the cases under various conditions of base-radius/central height(a/H) and thickness/shell radius(t/R) were summarized as follows : The dynamic characteristics with a/H. 1) AS the a/H increases, the amplitude of displacement in creased. 2) The values of displacement dynamic magnification factor (DMF) were ranges from 2.9 to 6.3 in the crown of shell and the values of factor in the mid-point of shell were ranged from 1.8 to 2.6. 3) As the a/H increases, the values of DMF in the crown of shell is decreased rapidly but the values of DMF in mid-point shell is increased gradually. 4) The values of DMF of hoop-stresses were range from 3.6 to 6.8 in the crown of shell and the values of factor in the mid-point of shell were ranged from 2.3 to 2.6, and the values of DMF of stress were larger than that of displacement. The dynamic characteristics with t/R. 5) With the thickness of shell decreases, the amplitude of the displacement and the period increased. 6) The values of DMF of the displacement were ranged from 2.8 to 3.6 in the crown of shell and the values of factor in the mid-point of shell were ranged from 2.1 to 2.2.

  • The semiconductor industry is one of the key industries of Korea, which has continued growing at a steady annual growth rate. Important technology for the semiconductor industry is high integration of devices. This is to increase the memory capacity for unit area, of which key is photolithography. The photolithography refers to a technique for printing the shadow of light lit on the mask surface on to wafer, which is the most important process in a semiconductor manufacturing process. In this study, the width and step-height of wafers patterned through this process were measured to ensure uniformity. The widths and inter-plate heights of the specimens patterned using photolithography were measured using transmissive digital holography. A transmissive digital holographic interferometer was configured, and nine arbitrary points were set on the specimens as measured points. The measurement of each point was compared with the measurements performed using a commercial device called scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Alpha Step. Transmission digital holography requires a short measurement time, which is an advantage compared to other techniques. Furthermore, it uses magnification lenses, allowing the flexibility of changing between high and low magnifications. The test results confirmed that transmissive digital holography is a useful technique for measuring patterns printed using photolithography.
