An Experimental Study on the Compressive Strength of Cement Paste Considering Relative Density (상대밀도를 고려한 시멘트 페이스트 압축 강도에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In In this study, we measured the relative density and the compressive strength in order to select the appropriate W/B for the ultra-high strength concrete development. If W/B is lowered than the W/B of highest relative density, it was confirmed that the strength is lowered. However, if water is increased than the W/B, the relative density is decreased compressive strength was similar. The selection of the W/B of the lower than the highest relative density is not appropriate. Appropriate W/B is selected to be more than the maximum relative density of W/B. This was confirmed for TG-DTA.

  • Appropriate design/manufacturing conditions, to give outstanding material properties to the $Si_3$$N_4$-BN and AIN-BN based composite materials, will be investigated using the experimental design methods. Ultra-precision machinability of the developed ceramics will be systematically studied in the viewpoint of microstructure and material properties. Also, finite element methods will be applied to define basic principles to significantly improve machinability and various properties. Basic experiments will be performed to develop optimum ultra-precision machining technologies for the developed ceramics. For ultra-precision lapping machining, need to develop a ultra-precision lapping system, suitable metal bonded diamond wheel, and appropriate condition of ultra-precision lapping machining.

Estimation of Design Rainfall Using 3 Parameter Probability Distributions (3변수 확률분포에 의한 설계강우량 추정)

  • This research seeks to derive the design rainfalls through the L-moment with the test of homogeneity, independence and outlier of data on annual maximum daily rainfall at 38 rainfall stations in Korea. To select the appropriate distribution of annual maximum daily rainfall data by the rainfall stations, Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), Generalized Logistic (GLO), Generalized Pareto (GPA), Generalized Normal (GNO) and Pearson Type 3 (PT3) probability distributions were applied and their aptness were judged using an L-moment ratio diagram and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test. Parameters of appropriate distributions were estimated from the observed and simulated annual maximum daily rainfall using Monte Carlo techniques. Design rainfalls were finally derived by GEV distribution, which was proved to be more appropriate than the other distributions.

Sensibility Analysis on Jacket Styles with the Handle and Sensibility of Wool Fabrics (양모의 태에 따른 최적 재킷스타일과 감성)

  • Subjective sensorial experiment was executed with 43 subjects to find the relationships between the sensibility of jacket styles and the handle of wool fabrics. The handle and sensibility of wool fabrics were significantly different according to the wool types, and the handle was defined as two axis of Wild/Exquisite vs. Thin/Thick. The sensibility of jacket styles was different by the types of jacket styles, and the jackets were displayed in the 2D of Masculine/Feminine vs. Country/urban according to the factor analysis using 8 sensibility words. The best-appropriate jacket styles for each wool fabrics were converged into several jacket styles, and it was found that the wool fabrics were divided as for all-purpose or for specific-end usage. For the results of correspondence analysis of the matrix for the best-appropriate jacket style for each wool fabric, the jacket styles and wool fabrics together were grouped as 4: Striking and Yang, Striking and Yin, Plain and Yang, Plain and Yin.

  • In this study, features and design effects of PV(Photovoltaic) modules were classified to help the installation of BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) In addition, through domestic and international trends and cases survey, installation method was organized and applicable range of efficiency and design from First-generation solar cells to the third-generation solar cell was classified. Frist, Crystalline Solar cell module of first-generation is appropriate for the wall type, roof, louver, shading and etc. It has superiority of technology and price stability and can be achieved by a variety of aesthetic effects. Second, Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell of Thin Film solar cell can express a variety of colors, adjust light transmittance and maximize the aesthetic splendor. It is appropriate for the wall type, window type, curtain wall type and etc. Also, see-through type solar cell can provide comforts cause of free flow of light. And it is advantageous from economic due to adjust the indoor temperature. It is appropriate for the atrium type, curtain wall type, window type and etc.

  • Objective The purpose of this study was to provide appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Methods We investigated the methods of taking decoction written in Lee Je-ma's writings such as "Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)", "Donguisusebowon-Sasangchobongwon(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "Dongmuyoogo(東武遺稿)" and several papers which related to methods of taking decoction. Results and Conclusions The effects of decoction can be affected by the methods of taking decoction. Therefore, when administering decoction of Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patient, we should consider the stages of disease and condition of patient. This paper shows the appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Further studies should be needed to find out the appropriate administration methods of various dosage forms.

  • This paper proposes eight groups of twenty nine scoring criteria that can help designers and practitioners to compare and select an appropriate methodology for a certain problem in designing product service system (PSS). PSS has been researched for more than a decade and is now becoming more and more popular in academia as well as industry. Despite that fact, the adoption of PSS is still limited for its potential. One of the main reasons is that designing PSS itself is a challenge. Designers and developers face difficulties in choosing appropriate PSS design methodologies for their projects so that they can design effective PSS offerings. By proposing eight groups of twenty nine scoring criteria, this paper enables a "step by step" process to identify the most appropriate design methodology for a company's PSS problem. An example is also introduced to illustrate the use of the proposed scoring criteria and provide a clear picture of how different design methodologies can be utilized at their best in terms of application.

  • To assure the appropriate role of solar energy in the future energy mix scenarios, considering the inevitable volatile and unstable energy market, it is urgent to introduce the "Soft Energy Path" concept. In Korean energy situation, the "Soft Energy Path" concept of solar energy has to be assured by the optimum technology mix of appropriate scale and quality for their individual tasks, especially in the industrial sector. So, the solar society is requested to establish an conceptional innovation regarding the merits of soft energy path and of ultimate potential of solar energy.

  • One form of job shop scheduling problem in contemporary automated manufacturing such as flexible manufacturing systems (FMS's) is presented which we call the FMS dispatching priority problem. The FMS dispatching priority problem seeks the best dispatching priority of parts and operations, and is essentially a combinatorial optimization problem. Because of the complicated mechanism of the system, the performance of a given dispatching priority must be evaluated via simulation. Simulated annealing have been applied to the problem, and it is found that appropriate parameter setting will be desirable to get good, if not the optimal, solutions within a limited amount of time under the presence of heavy computational burden due to simulation. More specifically, experiments reveal that initial temperature is the single most important factor among other parameters and factors, and that the appropriate initial temperature depends on the allowable computer time in such a way that the less time one can afford to spend, the lower the appropriate initial temperature should be.
