전자기 해석법에 의한 직선형 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 회로정수 도출 및 동특성 해석 (Analysis on Dynamic Characteristic and Circuit Parameter of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor by Electromagnetic Analytical Method)

  • This paper deals with analysis on dynamic characteristic and circuit parameter of linear switched reluctance motor by electromagnetic analytical method. Above all, using space harmonic method, which is electromagnetic method, the air-gap flux density is analyzed in the both align and unaign positions, and the inductance profile, force characteristic and resistance per phase are calculated by means of the process. The validity of the analyzed results are demonstrated by the finite element method(FEM) and manufacture of the prototype machine. Second, the dynamic simulation is analyzed by the use of circuit parameters derived from analytical method, and the operating system of the prototype machine is manufactured to demonstrated the validity of simulation analysis. As a result, it is considered that the characteristic equation suggested in this paper will contribute to the design, analysis and application of LSRM.

Design of Internet Search Engine by Intelligent Agents on WWW

  • The Internet has become widely used in many countries. In particular, a new emerging technology, the WWW (World Wide Web), which has become a major application of the Internet, has been rapidly developed. As a result, there are hundreds of millions of URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) on the WWW, and the total number of URLs is still explosively increasing. To get information from the WWW, we generally use Internet search engines. However, we cannot always get the actual information we want. Accordingly, we have solved this problem by constructing a prototype system based on agents by programming language Java for constructing a more effective search engine. This so-called “intelligent agent system on WWW” deletes redundant HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) files and exchanges information about the existence of URLs. And we found that our prototype system is more powerful and effective than conventional search engines.

Development of High Flux Metal Ion Plasma Source for the Ion Implantation and Deposition

  • A high flux metal plasma pulse ion source, which can simultaneously perform ion implantation and deposition, was developed and tested to evaluate its performance using the prototype. Flux of ion source was measured to be 5 A and bi-polar pulse power supply with a peak voltage of 250 V, repetition of 20 Hz and width of 100 ${\mu}\textrm{s}$ has an output current of 2 kA and average power of 2 kW. Trigger power supply is a high voltage pulse generator producing a peak voltage of 12 kV, peak current of 50 A and repetition rate of 20 Hz. The acceleration column for providing target energy up to ion implantation is carefully designed and compatible with UHV (ultra high vacuum) application. Prototype systems including various ion sources are fabricated for the performance test in the vacuum and evaluated to be more competitive than the existing equipments through repeated deposition experiments.

  • Forest fire monitoring prototype system was developed by National Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) to verify the usefulness of interoperabile system to study new services of Earth observation satellite data distribution for a practical application. In this system, a standard interface of Web based GIS technology, OpenGIS Consortium (OGC) technology, was adopted. This system is also expected to encourage data sharing activities in Digital Asia Network (DAN) as a demonstration system.

유압시험기 swivel joint의 개발 (Development of swiver joint on hydraulic machine)

  • The swivel joint is an important part in hydraulic machine. The analysis on the material was made using the EDAX method to localize the swivel joint. Also, the modeling and design drawing were finalized with application of 3 dimensional measurement and structure analysis. The prototype product based on design drawing was made with cutting and grinding process. No abnormalities were found in the prototype product through the durability test and measurement. The localized swivel joint with light weight, price reduction and diversification was developed in this study.

  • 토지정보와 건물정보는 부동산, 도시행정 분야에 있어서 가장 핵심이 되는 공간정보이지만 융복합 및 통합적인 활용이 용이하지 않아 통합정보서비스가 제공되기 어려웠다. 본 연구에서는 토지정보와 건물정보에 대한 통합정보시스템의 필요성과 정보 융합의 방법론, 통합시스템의 구축 방안을 제시하였으며 프로토타입 시스템을 개발하여 통합정보에 대한 활용 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 토지정보와 건물정보에 대한 관리 현황을 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 토지 및 건물에 대한 다양한 공간정보와 속성정보 간의 매칭 및 융합 프로세스를 적용하였다. 융합된 토지 건물정보 DB를 기반으로 한 통합정보시스템과 기능을 설계함으로써 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하였다. 마지막으로, LX가 시스템을 운영하면서 부동산 및 도시행정 분야에 제공할 수 있는 정보서비스 사례들을 제시하였다.

Development of Tilting Chair for Maintaining Working Position at Reclined Posture

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to develop an office chair enabling to keep working at reclined sitting posture. Background: Sedentary workers are supposed to change the posture frequently during long hours of sitting. A reclined sitting position has been recommended to reduce disc pressure. But slumped sitting posture caused by the buttock sliding forward without any adjustment of back reclining is commonly observed. The worker seems to have tendency to change the sitting posture maintaining working condition. We assumed the reason to be their hands movement away from the working space when tilting backward. Method: Slide mechanism allowing seat to move forward was designed to maintain the hand position in working space during reclining. A prototype was manufactured and tilting motion was analyzed using motion capture system. Four experiment chairs were tested including the manufactured prototype chair and three other commercial chairs. Results: A backward movements of the hand position were 13.0mm, 101.7mm, 156.1mm and 139.3mm at the prototype chair, compared to chair B, chair C and chair D, respectively. And the movement was remarkably small at the prototype chair. Conclusion: The developed seat sliding chair allows back tilting maintaining hand position at working space. We expect the user tilting back more often than normal tilting chair during seated work. But further investigation is required to figure out the effectiveness of the developed chair using prolonged working hours. Application: The developed office chair directly affects commercialization.

Analysis of Cross Sectional Ease Values for Fit Analysis from 3D Body Scan Data Taken in Working Positions

  • Purpose- The purpose of this study was to compare the fit of two prototype liquid cooled vests using a 3D body scanner and accompanying software. The objectives of this study were to obtain quantitative measurements of ease values, and to use these data to evaluate the fit of two cooling vests in active positions and to develop methodological protocol to resolve alignment issues between the scans using software designed for the alignment of 3D objects. Design/methodology/approach- Garment treatments and body positions were two independent variables with three levels each. Quantitative dataset were dependent variables, and were manipulated in 3x3 factorial designs with repeated measures. Scan images from eight subjects were used and ease values were obtained to compare the fit. Two different types of analyses were conducted in order to compare the fit using t-test; those were radial mean distance value analysis and radial distance distribution rate analysis. Findings- Overall prototype II achieved a closer fit than prototype I with both analyses. These were consistent results with findings from a previous study that used a different approach for evaluation. Research limitations/implications- The main findings can be used as practical feedback for prototype modification/selection in the design process, making use of 3D body scanner as an evaluation tool. Originality/value- Methodological protocols that were devised to eliminate potential sources of errors can contribute to application of data from 3D body scanners.

FDM에서 단면오차법을 이용한 표면예측 (An Estimation on Area Error For Surface Roughness Advancement of Rapid Prototype by FDM)

  • As SLA(Sterealithography), SLS(Selective Laser Sintering), LOM(Laminated Object Manufacturing), FDM(Fused Deposition Modeling) etc. The FDM system the heart of a study and is developed by Stratasys co. ltd, in US., is small and cheap R.P. The material filament is heated until the material reaches a near-liquid state, it is pumped through a nozzle and become hand with a shape required, and this nozzle move pumping on the previously deposited material. Such FDM system that choice deposition type with X-Y plouter obtain in the thin continue layer by decreasing amount of extrusion or to central the injection amount when the head slow down at the corner, but in the process that fusion wax or resin become hand, deformation occur and it will affect the shape accuracy and the surface roughness. Such effect will depreciate quality and reliability of the product. Therefore, when the product made in actuality, the fundamental study on the basis geometry(surface, volume, line, angle) must be preceded and it have been research by many Free Form Fabrication. So, this basic object study purpose to obtain the fundamental geometry data and to enhance the surface roughness of the shape. And an operant can use the data for the progress of the surface roughness. This study research the estimation and application of the prototype surface roughness by adjustment the injection amount. And basie of this research, describe the pattern of prototype surface roughness and also used the result to estimate the surface of prototype.

재정비촉진사업 마스터플랜 지원 데이터웨어하우스 프로토타입 (Data-warehouse Prototype for Supporting Master Plan of Renewal Promotion Projects)

  • 재정비촉진사업 실무에서 참여자 간 구두 협의에 의존하고 있어 계획안 자체가 빈번히 변경되는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 마스터플랜이 참여자 의견조율을 위한 수단으로 활용될 수 있지만, 소수의 총괄계획가 및 총괄계획팀이 사업과 관련된 대규모의 정보항목들을 고려하여 마스터플랜을 신속하고 효과적으로 수립하는 것은 한계가 있다. 마스터플랜 수립에 필요한 정보항목들을 체계적 효율적으로 저장하고, 검색이 가능하도록 구성하여 효과적인 의사결정을 지원할 수 있는 시스템이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 사업초기단계에서의 마스터플랜 수립을 지원하는 데이터웨어하우스 프로토타입을 제안한다. 전문가 면담 및 사례분석을 바탕으로 재정비촉진사업 운영상의 문제점을 도출하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 마스터플랜을 작성할 때 기본적인 근거자료로 활용되는 기초조사결과와 마스터플랜사례 정보항목을 도출하여 메타데이터 인덱스 데이터베이스를 구축하고 정보검색 사용자 인터페이스를 제시하였다. 프로토타입을 실제 마스터플랜 수립업무 사례에 적용한 결과, 메타데이터를 통한 필요한 정보의 효과적인 검색이 가능하였다.
