In this study, the standardized design methods and procedures are proposed for bridge LRB(Lead Rubber Bearing) design. The bridge LRB design program is developed according to these methods and procedures, on the basis of "AASHTO Guide Specifications for Seismic Isolation Design, 1999". This program is applied to Young-Dong bridge.

The purposes of this study are to investigate the conformity of Korean Standards(KS) according to agreement on WTO/TBT, and to propose systematic frameworks of preparation, adoption, and application for KS in our enterprises. Significant changes in this establishment, revision, and abrogation include the following divisions; i) statistics-vocabulary and symbols, ii) Shewhart control chart, iii) statistical interpretation of data, iv) sampling procedures for inspection by attributes, v) sequential sampling plans for inspection.

A 12 years old patient having rampant dental caries on permanent dentition has been treated under operative procedures. In addition to this operative treatment the nutritional survey and the caries activity was checked, and performed the oral hygiene instruction to the patient. As the consequences of above procedures the following results were obtained: 1. The familial history and eating habits checkings were helpful for better dental health guide and caries control. 2. The restriction of mono & disaccharide intake and topical application of 8% stannous fluoride at least two times revealed excellent control effect for recurrent dental caries.

Dynamic instability of the railway bridge can cause track irregularities and be directly connected with unstable passenger comfort and derailment of the train. Europe and Japan had studied on this problem for a long time since 1960's, Results of those studies are reflected in recent Eurocode and the bridge design code of Japanese railway bridges. However, even though some traffic safety requirements were applied in Kyoung-bu highspeed railway by French engineers, we experienced many difficulties from insufficient information of criteria background and application procedures. In this paper, a investigation of recent traffic safety requirements of Europe and Japan for railway bridges will be introduced and application procedures for the estimation of dynamic performance will be proposed.

The Distributed system environments are developing into a structure of the opening information communication network based on object-oriented concepts and distributed technologies. Such a reason is that it can not only decrease the complexity of distributed softwares, but also support object oriented application services to distributed environments without changes of its own communication network structure. In this paper, we designed object group model, that is, an extended middleware, we developed before. The distributed environment suggested consists of the CTS server and clients. As our results, we showed the interaction procedures between/among object groups and service procedures of distributed application in given distributed system.

Purpose: This pilot case series study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of continuous radiofrequency (CRF) application on dorsal root ganglia (DRG) to reduce spasticity of spinal cord lesion (SCL) patients. Methods: We performed CRF procedures on DRG in 8 subjects (7 males; mean age 39 years, range 31-53 years) with intractable spasticity that impeded activities of daily living and caregiving, although they had maximal tolerable doses of anti-spastic medications and active rehabilitative treatment. All subjects underwent CRF (90 seconds at $90^{\circ}C$) at multiple lumbosacral and/or cervical DRG. Muscle tone of the extremities was measured by the modified Ashworth scale (MAS) before and one month after procedures. Functional goals were established at baseline, and subjects' satisfaction levels were categorized one month after procedures. Results: A total of 54 CRF treatments were performed in 8 patients. In all patients, we found some improvement in muscle tone measured by the MAS. Six patients reported themselves satisfied with their current status at one month's post-treatment, and 2 patients were fairly satisfied with their gait pattern. In 3 patients, neuropathic pain was present after CRF on DRG. In 1 lumbar case, the pain subsided after several days, and the other 2 cervical cases suffered from tolerable neuropathic pain treated with anti-convulsant medication. Conclusion: CRF on DRG might be a promising alternative treatment to reduce spasticity in SCL patients. Further well-designed clinical trials on the efficacy and safety of CRF application on DRG are needed.

Objective: The aim of this paper is to introduce ergonomic guidelines and intervention procedures for farm workers. Background: It is necessary to ameliorate the conditions of risky and hazardous work for farm workers. Method: Various references and books have been reviewed to assess ergonomic guidelines and intervention procedures for farm workers. Results: Human centered intervention has become an important approach not only to prevent musculoskeletal disorders but also to enhance the efficiency of work for farm workers. Conclusion: Farm work should be improved by active cooperation with researchers in field of ergonomics. Application: These results can be used to provide baseline information for more effective improvements of farm work.

A permutation test is the popular and attractive alternative to derive asymptotic distributions of dimension test statistics in sufficient dimension reduction methodologies; however, recent studies show that a bootstrapping technique also can be used. We consider two types of bootstrapping dimension determination, which are partial and whole bootstrapping procedures. Numerical studies compare the permutation test and the two bootstrapping procedures; subsequently, real data application is presented. Considering two additional bootstrapping procedures to the existing permutation test, one has more supporting evidence for the dimension estimation of the central subspace that allow it to be determined more convincingly.

An understanding of performance of database driven network applications is critical in combating slow performance of e-commerce web sites, besides efficient web page design, and high quality and well-maintained web server equipment. This paper describes a method of measuring performance from the user viewpoint, which can help enormously in making realistic assessment of true performance of database driven applications. The performance measurements were taken at user locations by using several specially designed JavaScript functions along with ASP scripts. A performance study is presented in this paper, comparing performance of data access using stored procedures with the traditional way of querying a database. It is generally believed that stored procedures have performance benefits as they are pre-compiled. However, our study shows that the data access approach using stored procedures provides significant benefits(by about 30%) over the traditional approach for querying a commercial MySQL database, only when retrieving a substantial amount of data(at least 10,000 rows of data).

LNG stevedoring plant offshore pipelines requires human power and the longest construction period in constructing LNG storing terminal and influences on the success of the project absolutely. In this paper, the constructing procedures of LNG stevedoring plant offshore pipeline was established. Establishment of constructing procedures of LNG stevedoring plant offshore pipeline includes procurement of main equipments, iron frame and pipelines. To predict any expectable problems, that may occur by the stage of construction the application to the field works with a base of theoretical and practical contents for the constructing procedures of LNG stevedoring plant offshore pipelines can be established.
