  • Thanks to diffusions of mobile devices and advances of network technologies, demands for mobile app have been increased dramatically. It has resulted in mobile app industries as well as mobile app authoring tools are facing a crisis over subordinate to specific OS and platform such as iOS, Android and Apple App Store. Because these particular OS and platforms are obstacles to overcome for supporting interoperability and compatibility. In this study, we have conducted expert interviews and surveys to analyze status of mobile app markets and needs for mobile app user and developer. As a result, mobile app based on HTML5 leads to interconnect various mobile devises without additional efforts. Thereby, mobile app user and developer take a positive view of HTML5. However, mobile app developers tend to have the technical path dependence, they especially in venture and small enterprises need to government support for professional manpower training.

  • Objective: This study aims to draw an efficient UI design by comparing the usability of App drawer and single-layered home screens, which are smartphone home screens. Background: Because smartphone home screen is frequently used including the installation, deletion, and editing of APPs, it should be designed with easily controllable information structure. There is a need to seek a user-friendly UI by comparing the usability of App drawer and single-layered home screens, of which methods to search Apps are different. There is also a need to examine an efficient UI and the factors to improve from the user perspective. Method: This study targeted 30 Android OS and iOS users to evaluate the App drawer and single-layered home screens, of which UI structures are different. Each participant was instructed to carry out an App searching task and App deleting task, and the execution time and the number of errors were measured. After the tasks were completed, they evaluated satisfaction through a questionnaire survey. Results: In the App searching task with low task level, there was no difference in execution level between the App drawer and single-layered home screens. However, the single-layered home screen showed higher efficiency and accuracy in the App deleting task with high task level. As for the group difference according to use experience, there was no difference in satisfaction among Android OS users, but iOS user satisfaction with single-layered home screen with which they were familiar was higher. Conclusion: As for home screen usability, the single-layered home screen UI structure can be advantageous, as task level is higher. Repulsion was higher, when users, who had used easier UI, used complex UI in comparison with user satisfaction, when users familiar with complex UI used easier UI. A UI indicating the current status with clear label marking through a task flow chart-based analysis, and a UI in which a user can immediately recognize by exposing hidden functions to the first depth were revealed as things to improve. Application: The results of this study are expected to be used as reference data in designing smartphone home screens. Especially, when iOS users use Android OS, the results are presumed to contribute to the reduction of predicted barriers.

  • This paper is about environment-based low-code and no-code execution platform and execution method that combines hybrid and native apps. In detail, this paper describes the Low-Code/No-Code execution structure that combines the advantages of hybrid and native apps. It supports the iPhone and Android phones simultaneously, supports various templates, and avoids developer-oriented development methods based on the production process of coding-free apps and the produced apps play the role of Java virtual machine (VM). The Low-Code /No-Code (LCNC) development platform is a visual integrated development environment that allows non-technical developers to drag and drop application components to develop mobile or web applications. It provides the functions to manage dependencies that are packaged into small modules such as widgets and dynamically loads when needed, to apply model-view-controller (MVC) pattern, and to handle document object model (DOM). In the Low-Code/No-Code system, the widget calls the AppOS API provided by the UCMS platform to deliver the necessary requests to AppOS. The AppOS API provides authentication/authorization, online to offline (O2O), commerce, messaging, social publishing, and vision. It includes providing the functionality of vision.

  • Recently the market of smart phone applications grows very fast. And users want more various and rich experiments using enhanced smart phone functions. But the development of smart phone applications is not an easy job. Specially to control smart phone sensors can be realized by using each native programming languages in experts level. Moreover the process needs separate development based on each smart phone OS. Development of the Web-based smart phone application using Web Common APIs, known as 'WebApp', is one of solutions to overcome these problems. The method includes interface constructions with HTML, and Web Common API calls and accesses to smart phone device APIs with Java scripts. In this paper, the experience in development of the smart phone e-book application is introduced, which is implemented with comport and OS independent WebApp development method.

  • In order to register an application with Apple's App Store, it must pass a rigorous verification process through the Apple verification center. That's why spyware applications are difficult to get into the App Store. However, malicious code can also be executed through normal application vulnerabilities. To prevent such attacks, research is needed to detect and analyze early to patch potential vulnerabilities in applications. To prove a potential vulnerability, it is necessary to identify the root cause of the vulnerability and analyze the exploitability. A tool for analyzing iOS applications is the debugger named LLDB, which is built into Xcode, the development tool. There are various functions in the LLDB, and these functions are also available as APIs and are also available in Python. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to efficiently analyze potential vulnerabilities of iOS application by using LLDB API.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce on a mobile APP called MAMIS(Marine pollution Accident response Mobile Information System) and it's functions. MAMIS was developed by Korea Coast Guard for marine pollution responder in 2012. Users can get information on marine pollution response easily without being restricted by time and place. MAMIS can be operated by smart phones with Android OS and iOS, both of which are the most popular mobile operating systems in Korea. And it has been developed in the form of hybrid APP which combined the functions of mobile APP and mobile WEB. MAMIS is composed of 9 menus, 5 mobile-based ones and 4 web-based ones. The mobile-based menus are on substance information, clean-up skills, response measures, QR code scanning, and volunteer's safety, and the web-based ones on weather information, response equipment, clean-up materials, and SNS.

  • The smart phone are changing the way people communicate. And, the mobile app marketplace is greatly fast-growing. The app store continues its rapid growth, there are already more than 900,000 mobile apps on AppStore. We anticipate to see gained momentum throughout the business. Mobile is also becoming popular for marketers. Therefore, specialized app analysis systems are becoming important to how marketers and app developers invest, analyze and market their apps. App analysis systems enable users to discover and analyze behavior through data observations and meaningful patterns. In this paper, we introduce app analysis system and CMS System Open API, NugaLog. The NugaLog acquires users data and engages with them in a variety of ways. It will be essential for us to understand how users interact with and move through the app. The NugaLog will be able to see the number of users, smart phone model, smart phone OS, resolution, page views, and app version.
