In this paper, the control scheme is proposed that PI controller parameter used for TAH speed control is adapted by fuzzy logic method using only the motor current waveform. By scheduling PI parameters, minimization of the vibration and the energy consumption and overcoming AoP loads becomes possible. In in vitro tests experimental results show our approach is a good scheme that is adapted to changing afterloads well.

Microlensing is generally thought to probe planetary systems only out to a few Einstein radii. Microlensing events generated by bound planets beyond about 10 Einstein radii generally do not yield any trace of their hosts, and so would be classified as free floating planets (FFPs). I show that it is already possible, using adaptive optics (AO), to constrain the presence of potential hosts to FFP candidates at separations comparable to the Oort Cloud. With next-generation telescopes, planets at Kuiper-Belt separations can be probed. Next generation telescopes will also permit routine vetting for all FFP candidates, simply by obtaining second epochs 4-8 years after the event. At present, the search for such hosts is restricted to within the "confusion limit" of θ_confus ∼ 0.25′′, but future WFIRST (Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope) observations will allow one to probe beyond this confusion limit as well.

Balancing left/right cardiac output is essential for the automatic control of total artificial hearts(TAH). A fuzzy logic-based control method is presented. We use left atrial pressure(LAP) and right atrial pressure(RAP) as indicators for left/right balancing. The fuzzy controller has four input variables which are measured LAP and RAP and their gradients. Desired variations in left cardiac output(LCO) and right cardiac output(RCO) are calculated to keep LAP and RAP within the Physiological limits. Computer simulations were performed to adjust fuzzy membership functions for variables and verify this control method. Results from simulations showed that LAP and RAP returned to the physiological limits while AoP and PAP stayed within the physiological limits.

The present paper studies the ultimate torsional strength of stiffened box girders with large deck opening due to the influence of cracks. Three types of hull girders with different spans are provided for comparison. Potential parameters which may have effects on the torsional strength including the mesh refinement, initial deflection, material strain hardening, geometric properties of crack and stiffener are discussed. Two new concepts that play an significant role in the ultimate strength research of damaged box girders are introduced, one of which is the effective residual section (ERS), the other is the initial damage of the failure zone (IDFZ) for intact structures. New simple formulas for predicting the residual ultimate torsional strength of cracked stiffened box girders are derived on the basis of the two new concepts.

국내 11개 지역(경기도 옹진군 덕적도, 경기도 의정부시 소요산, 강원도 춘천시, 충청남도 태안군 안홍, 경상북도 울릉군 울릉도, 전라북도 부안군 변산, 전라남도 신안군 홍도, 흑산도 비금도, 진도, 제주도)에서 채집된 달팽이 (A. despecta sieboleiana)를 대상으로 외부형태 분석과 동위효소를 검출하여 각 지역 집단간의 형태적, 유전적 유연관계와 변이 정도를 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 외부형태에 의한 집단간 유연관계는 안홍과 덕적도집단(average taxonomic distance, D=0.358)이 형태적으로 가장 유사한 집단으로 나타났다. Polyacrylamide gel을 사용하여 11가지의 동위효소를 검출한 결과 AKP, ACP, AO, EST, GPD, HBDH, LDH, SDH, XDH의 동위효소에서 유전적 다형현상이 나타났다. 전 집단의 평균 다형형의 빈도는 59.19%이며 이형접합자 빈도는 0.263이고 각 집단의 유전적 차이치는 춘천과 울릉도 집단이 0.066(genetic distance)으로 가장 높은 유사성을 보였다. 지리적 분포에 따른 외부형태 변이와 유전적 변이와의 관계는 유의성이 없었다.

A study on the seasonal changes of the benthic macroinvertebrate community was performed on the intertidal rocky shores ao eastern coast of Cheju island and U-do throughout four seasons from october 1991 to August 1992. The macroinvertebrates were composed of 10 phyla, 18 classes, 39 orders, 94 families and 201 species. the number of speecies were 183 in summer, 147 in autumn, 138 in spring and 94 in winter, respectively. The total wpecies collected throuhout the study period were 193 species in U-do and 151 species in the eastern coast of Cheju Island. Nodilittorina exigua was the most dominant species in all seasons, followed by Monodonta neritoides in spring, autumn and winter, and pollicipes mitella in summer. U-do was higher in species diversity and richness and lower in evenness than the eastern coast. Species diversity and richness were higher in summer than any other seasons in lower intertidal zones. Community dominance indices, however, were significantly higher in upper intertidal zones than in lower intertidal zones.

Currently, the application of virtual reality technology is becoming more and more popular in all aspects of life. From virtual entertainment to industrial simulation, the new operation and working methods brought by virtual reality visualization technology have greater appeal and advantages. With the renewal and iteration of related equipment, more and more functions make its limitations continue to decrease, but its applicability continues to improve. Take the optically transparent head-mounted device as an example. It integrates more computer functions, presents and interacts in a virtual way, further integrates with daily behaviors, and shortens the distance between users and digital information.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of users' perceived value of food delivery Apps and information quality on acceptance and intention to reuse of food delivery Apps. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design of the research model by integrating the factors of perceived value and information quality with the acceptance and continued usage of delivery Apps on the basis of the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Findings The results of this study suggests that perceived emotional value and monetary value, accuracy and timeliness of information have significant positive effects on usefulness and easiness of food delivery Apps. Meanwhile, both usefulness and easiness of food delivery Apps have significant positive influences on users' continually use intention. Furthermore, implications in terms of the findings of this study are discussed.

Photodynamic therapy(PDT) has advanced to clinical trials for the treatment of a variety of solid tumors and presents an alternative treatment option for tumors resistant to chemo-and/or radio-therapy. PDT is based on the combination of laser light of appropriate wavelength and energy to activate a systemically or locally applied photosensitizer that concentrates preferentially in malignant tissues. In this study, phototoxicity of laser EIT 21 was analysed in human osteosarcoma cell(HOS) and the second objective of this study was to determine the ability of laser EIT 21 to induce apoptosis. This study demonstrated that laser EIT 21 had a phototoxicity to HOS cells. In order to examinate whether cell death was induced by necrosis or apoptosis, variety of techniques which assess apoptosis were used. TUNEL assay showed only a few the positive reaction on condensed nuclei. It is hard to find condensed or fragmented nuclei on HOS cells irradiated with laser EIT 21 in Hemastat and AO/EB stain. By DNA electrophoresis, cells also did not show DNA degradation characteristic of apoptosis with a ladder pattern of DNA fragments. Apoptosis-related factors were analyzed by western blotting. The expression of p53 was constant and cells irradiated with laser did not show the caspase-3 and PARP degradation, therefore we suggest that p53 and caspase-3 are not involved in laserinduced cell death.
